  We rented this house the last week of June. We had two families, a total of 10 people. The house was perfect for us! It was exactly as described. We had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The deck was great to sit out on and the views of the beach were fantastic. There were numerous beach chairs and toys to use. The outside shower was perfect to rinse off before coming in to the house. We love the small town feel of Folly and it was only a short drive into Charleston where we spent time shopping and sightseeing. The Black Magic Coffee shop has wonderful food and drinks and everyone loved Tokyo Crepes also. The Crab Shack and The Lost Dog Cafe were also favorite spots. The only thing that was a slight bummer all week was that the WiFi kept going out nightly between 7-10pm. We really weren't sure why and the only time it really mattered was when we were trying to schedule tours for the next day or decide where we wanted to eat. Thanks for sharing your house with us and we hope to return again soon!

  The house was fantastic. We had an absolutely great time in Charleston (which if you have been, know is pretty standard). As far as the house is concerned, it was in good shape, the views to the beach are amazing, the walkway was fine, and there is PLENTY of space for people to hang around the house, enjoy the deck, or have a large meal. (Again, if you have been to Charleston, I have no idea why you would not go out to eat). Downtown folly beach is very walkable, and there are multiple small shops to get the necessities in close proximity with a large grocery store only a mile or 2 away. We had a fantastic stay.

  Our family spent one of the best vacations of our lives here in Folly Beach. The location was great, (seven blocks from the pier and downtown), the weather was great, and the house fit us perfectly. There were 12 of us in total (6 adults and 6 kids under 10) and the layout of the home could not have suited us better. The owner was a delight to work with and went out of her way to answer all of our questions and to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The only thing we found surprising was that the home was much larger than what we thought was depicted on the web site. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and MORE! We will definitely be renting this home in the future. Thanks for a great week and a wonderful memory.

  Our family enjoyed a great week at this house on Folly Beach. We had 7 adults and a toddler staying in the house, and there was plenty of room in the common areas and the bedrooms were spacious. The bathtub in one of the bathrooms was great for my daughter. We also had other family members who were staying in the area come by for dinner, and there was plenty of room for all of us to eat together. The listing and pictures accurately describe the house. Access to the beach was very convenient, and the beach chairs, umbrella and toys at the house were nice to have. The owners were very helpful to answer questions before our stay, and the realty company was friendly and helpful as well. Folly Beach is a great beach - for most of the week there were just a few families on the beach. It picked up on Memorial Day weekend, but still wasn't too crowded. We really enjoyed the restaurants in downtown Folly (The Lost Dog and Rita's were a couple of our favorites), and it's a short drive to downtown Charleston. We definitely recommend Folly Beach and this rental house.

  My family and I stayed at this lovely home on Folly Beach for a week in February. There were nine adults, and it was perfect - plenty of room for everyone to sleep, and lots of common living space. The kitchen was well stocked and in good working order. The deck is wonderful, and the proximity to the beach fabulous. We all loved the picture window facing the ocean. All in all, a great place for a get-away any time of the year. We will definitely rent this house again.

  I rented this property for a week for family coming from overseas and it was perfect for us. I second the review from the renter from NY. I have nothing to add, she said it all..., but will say that if the occasion presents itself, I will rent this house again. The communication with the owners was very easy and pleasant. They went above and beyond to make sure we would have a great time.

  This is a well maintained beach house. It was ideal for 2 families-much larger than expected. The mattresses were comfortable; both the wall to wall carpet and the ceramic tile floors were stain free. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking, serving and eating utensils.The appliances were clean and in great working order. There was plenty of hot water and the a/c kept the house comfortably cool. There are ceiling fans in every room. The seating was adequate and comfortable both inside the house and outside on the deck. The laundry room was a pleasant surprise. The outside shower was great for rinsing off the sand after trips to the beach. The beach toys were enjoyed by all. There was plenty of room to entertain; our guests were all impressed with the house. The off street parking accomodates up to 6 vehicles. The mobility impaired can access every room with the exception of the loft. The view of the ocean is fantastic; you can hear and feel the ocean calling you. This is definitely a repeat rental. It is everything it is advertised to be and more. I contacted the owners via email and phone before I rented and I found them to be extremely helpful.

  The house has an excellent view of the ocean - the great room has huge windows looking out sea side, and there is a deck so that the rentors can see/hear/feel the sea. There were several shortcomings about the house itself which should be considered...the living room has a 3 seat couch and one comfortable chair, but since the house is to accommodate 12, there is not adequate seating for more than 5 (we had 7 people, and struggled to find adequate seating for social occasions in the living room and the deck). The two bathrooms are in great need of a thorough cleaning/caulking...all corners of the showers are black and some drywall surrounding it are damaged. The deck is well situated, but again, had only 2 chairs and both were wobbly. If there is a thorough cleaning and the addition of some comfortable seating in the living room and replace/addition of deck furniture, it would go from a good vacation house to an excellent one. Also of note - we went to the rental office with our concerns the day after our arrival and nothing was done to remedy any of our concerns during our stay, including replacing lightbulbs that did not work.

  Owner response: We appreciate all of our renter's comments and take them very seriously. After reading this last one we have immediately made the appropriate changes. We have sent a crew out and a deep cleaning of the house has been completed. Both bathrooms have been re-caulked . The outdoor furniture has also been repaired and additional seating has been added. We have gotten so much positive feedback about our house over the years with several of our renters returning each year. We are certain that with the few adjustments we have made our house is now back to an "excellent" one. We encourage our renters to call us at home if there is something that needs repair when they are at our home. We have a repair service on Folly Beach we use to keep up with the repairs that are often needed especially in the busy summer months. The house has one of the best views of the ocean and as the review says "you can see, hear and feel the ocean!! " As a family we have entertained up to 14 family members ages 3-80 and everyone always raves about what an awesome house it is!! We are certain that you and your family would feel the same way!
