Location very good and close to supermarket, beaches, and tourist spots. The property was very clean and well appointed. The owner was gracious and very helpful. The only downside was that the bed though comfortable was quite noisy, and we could hear all the footsteps from the living quarters above us.We loved the beaches and the snorkelling, Wiamea valley and gardens, and the natural beauty of the area. Gionannis shrimp truck was worth the lining up for the awesome shrimp, and we loved, loved the nearby town of Haliewa. Great restaurants and browsing the shops. Very quaint , but trendy too.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.

We only had a short stay, but my daughters and I felt very comfortable here. After having stayed in a hotel, it was so nice to have a cozy and clean kitchen to do some cooking and baking. I was amazed at how close we were to snorkeling, swimming, and boogie boarding. We agreed next time; we will just skip Waikiki and stay here. I can’t wait to come back to this amazing place. Thanks again for everything.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

We stayed about a month in this place and loved every single moment at it. The place itself meets to the last detail its description on the website. Location is quiet and amazing: Walking distance to Waimea Bay, Shark's Cove and right beside the supermarket. Internet access, TV, big bathroom, washer and great bed! But what really makes the difference here is the people. I'll never be able to thank them enough when we had a medical emergency and the owner and family did everything they could to help us...That goes way beyond any written contract or even words. Our plan is to come back every year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at Lynette's and Davids Shark Cove hideaway on a recent trip which included the pipeline masters, Christmas and New Years and for the busiest time of the year this property was still private and safe. The room has everything anyone could possibly need, from a huge show and bed to a couch television and kitchen, big fridge and now even a washer and dryer. Lynette and David went out of there way to make our stay amazing always kicking around to offer advice on Oahu, if you wanted to know anything from shopping, surfing and places to eat they knew, they were so helpful. We have a 2 year old and they were amazing with him also. The extra's they supply were amazing, towels, boogie boards, chairs, bikes and even an amazing bike trailer for supplies and or small kids ;-) I would not hesitate to give this property and owners the highest marks possible! Everything is as the site says, no hidden surprises apart from actually how far this is from the most amazing beaches, its closer than they say :-) The studio is away from the road so its quiet but when the surf is big you can hear and see it breaking, its an amazing place to stay close to shops and eateries. Surf shops close everything is close. Waimea Bay is just down the road and Sunset just down the road the other way, perfect location. Enough said from me as i am sure starting to sound like part of their family, which that is how they made us feel. Thanks again guys and you WILL see us again. kindest regards from the Davies Family...Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. Neither of us had been to Hawaii before and had never used vrbo before, either. We were so thrilled with the accommodations. Lynette was a very gracious and helpful host. She made sure we had everything that we needed for our stay and gave us any directions or information that we needed. The studio was clean and modern. We were right across the street from Shark's Cove, and right next to a grocery store. The bikes were a fun perk, and we loved going on morning bike rides. The bed was comfortable; everything was very clean and well-maintained. We loved our stay here and would definitely go again. It was the perfect accommodations for our trip. Thanks, Lynette! We loved it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

After our first trip to the island several years back, we knew the next trip we wanted to stay up on the North Shore and live like a local for a week. After a lot of research and reading great reviews we were confident we had found our place with Lynette. Our stay here far exceeded our expectations!! Lynette is a very gracious host. She has a vast knowledge of the island and the North Shore area and made very good recommendations on where to go for fun and good eats. The property location couldn't be better, close to food and groceries and even Starbucks. With the use of the bicycles, we rarely needed our rental car except for trips to Haleiwa which is 5 miles away. The studio itself is amazing with a resort like feel. The decor includes travertine tile, very large bathroom, a perfect size kitchen and a great comfortable bed. Lynette has thought of everything you could possibly need, so pack lite. Plenty of beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, bicycles. iPod player/charger, flat screen tv and dvd player. The kitchen was fully stocked with microwave, coffee maker, toaster, stove/oven and refrigerator. The outside patio area was large and very nice for morning coffee with an ocean view. Having a washer and dryer and a bbq was a big plus! Usually when you stay at some resort or hotel, you need to call house keeping for extra stuff, but not here everything is included! The studio was the perfect size and super clean, very cozy and felt like a home away from home. Our days were spent with morning bike rides up and down all the best beaches the North Shore has to offer. The sharks Cove Grill had great food. The North Shore Surf Shop can take care of all your rental needs. The Restaurants and shops in Haleiwa are a must! You have to try an Acai bowl!! Lynette included plenty of books, maps and info about all the local activities as well as a Restaurant and shopping guide. Overall our experience was just what we were looking for. Staying here was like coming to visit with family, instead of feeling like just another customer at some big hotel/resort. We had such a good time, that we already booked for next year and plan on coming back year after year. If you are reading this review, you know there are many options for places to stay. I would highly recommend this studio for its overall feel, warmth and value. Mahalo Lynette and Dave and Maggie Belle, we look forward to seeing you again!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My wife & I were attracted to this Vacation Rental due not only to its excellent & very central North Shore location but also by the little extras as 2 x coaster bikes, BBQ, easy offstreet parking plus access to North Shore bike path. As well as being avid beach goers, we enjoy bike riding- this package had it all. We utilised the bikes every morning to check out Waimea, Pipeline and Sunset plus rode to Ed's Bakery for morning tea. Lynette was a wonderful host, ensuring we were comfortable and aware of all the included extras - beach towels, boogie booards, beach chairs, umbrellas (the latter not needed!!). The accommodation was spotless and the bed very, very comfortable. The kitchen was more than well equipped- fantastic with numerous condiments available and not have to be purchased at the next door Foodland Supermarket. Starbucks Coffee also next door!!! Thanks Lynette for making our time on the North Shore such a memorable experience!!! THE place to stay for 2-3 people!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

She is a fabulous hostess with lots of great tips to bypass some of the little frustrations traveling can create. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling in a small group. The location is convienent with the beach and surfing just across the road.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful stay with Lynette at Hideaway @ Sharks Cove. Our activity filled stay started with snorkelling followed by exploring the surrounding townships and beaches and ended with lazy days on the beach - right on our doorstep! All the best surf beaches are so close too, making it a great option for the surfing season. The apartment was just beautiful with every mod-con, but a great sense of homelyness. It has its own kitchen & laundry which was so handy and it was just next to the supermarket too, a great bonus. Lynette is a fantastic hostess offering shoes to wear snorkelling, bikes, body boards, laundry powder, oil for cooking - just all those little things you don't want to have to worry about on holidays. We had a great stay and really hope to get back to Sharks Cove some day. Megan & Hamish MacdonaldRecommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
