This rental was perfect for my husband, myself and our 2 year old daughter. The listing is completely accurate and the location was perfect for visiting all of the beaches on the North Shore. The studio was very clean and very well maintained. One of my favorite things was the large bathroom and shower, great for cleaning a sandy toddler after the beach. I would absolutely recommend this property to any couples looking for some R & R on the North Shore of Oahu. Lynette was also very helpful -- she provided a pack-n-play, beach towels/chairs and beach toys!

Great location, easy to find, clean and comfortable and the owners were very helpful, even called just after we got off the plane and offered to come to Honolulu to pick us up! The only dissapointment was the weather which no one can control or accurately predict. Highly reccomended.

My husband and I came here for our 5th anniversary and feel we couldn't have made a better choice. From the fresh fish given to us by our hosts to the beach bikes, the big waves, the whales...there are too many great things to choose from. We highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a getaway that can be as private or as social as you'd like. Way to go Lynette!

We stayed here in November and had a wonderful time. Lynette was an attentive and excellent host to our needs. The central location is perfect for visiting the numerous beaches and nearby town of Haleiwa and the Turtle Bay resort. The property was clean and everything was described accurately in the listed description. We watched the Reef Hawaii Pro along with spending evenings in Waimea Bay. The Foodland located next door makes for convenient eating. We enjoyed the bike rides and beach hopping. Highly recommended and would definitely consider this location again!

We really enjoyed our 7 night stay in Lynette's studio. It was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The king-sized bed is super comfortable! This was a great location from which to explore the island. I would recommend renting a car. The convenience of Foodland right next door was an added bonus. Lynette is a terrific host and very accommodating. The only downside was the traffic noise at night. Other than that, it was a great vacation. The North Shore is beautiful and scenic. We'll always remember our wonderful Oahu vacation.
Owner response:I was sad to get my first review with 4 stars; all my other reviews were 5 stars. In the winter months, especially during the holidays with our winter surf season and contests there is an influx of people to the North Shore. There are surfers from all over the world, their sponsors, photographers, entourage, and of course the spectators. There definitely is more traffic than at any other time of year. These extra visitors are leaving the beach in the evenings. The North Shore of Oahu is a winter surf Mecca so take this into consideration, especially during the Holiday Season, when booking your vacation. My only goal for my guests is that they have the very best possible vacation! Aloha and Happy Holidays

Lynette's "Pristine Hideaway" was fantastic! Great location within easy walking and biking distance of a number of amazing beaches! Driving distance (10 minutes) to Haleiwa and Turtle Bay--this spot is basically right, smack in the middle of the North Shore and all it has to offer! Exceptionally clean and just behind the Foodland grocery store--perfect for making delicious dinners "at home"! We would definitely recommend this place to other travelers!

This was by far the perfect place for my husband and I! We are active, young at heart (42 year old), surfing, swimming, snorkel loving and we had all of that and more at Lynettes beautifully decorated bungalow. This is the best location on the North Shore.....we absolute hate Waikiki..........we will never waste time there again. The north shore is paradise, the people the beaches, the natural Hawaiian vibe is what you come to Hawaii for! The studio is perfect and the bed is to die for...love the high end bathroom and enormous shower! We took the beach cruisers out every morning and rode along the 6 miles of bike trails....Surfed at Chuns everyday and snorkeled at three tables in the afternoons. Loved swimming with the turtles at turtle beach...don't just stand on the shore with all the other tourists...get in the water with your snorkel its out of this world to swim with such magnificent creatures! We fell in love with North shore Christian church, you must go! Sharks cove is worth it and you must eat at grass skirt grill in Haleiwa and get the ahi seared sandwich and garlic fries...oh my goodness we dream about this food all the time...the best!!! Also Lynettes fixed us up with BBQ and cooler for the beach... Had everything we asked for...so accommodating and so friendly! Why pay hundreds more to be on the beach when you can be across the street and have it all anyway. This is were to stay if you want high end surroundings at a bottom barrel price...it fabulous and we have stayed in the priciest accommodations all over the world so we know what we are talking about. We will stay at Lynette's again by far!!!!

This place was awesome! It was sparkling clean and you can't beat the location. The description is entirely accurate; it is truly a two minute walk to what turned out to be our favorite beach and Starbucks is right around the corner; very convenient! There are several beaches really close by as well. We were able to BBQ a couple of dinners and relax out on the patio. Foodland is also right there, so getting supplies was really easy as well. Lynette and Dave are wonderful hosts, giving us a lot of information that only 'locals' would know. The bike trails are just down the road and we had a great time on the cruisers that come with the place, in addition to beach towels, chairs, mats, etc. For the active folks out there, this is the perfect spot! Sharks Cove (for snorkeling or diving) is also just down the road, an easy 5 minute walk and the drive into town took about 5 or 10 minutes. A car was nice to have, but you could actually stay here without one. We were on the go quite a bit, but when we returned, it was like coming back to our comfortable home and friendly neighbors. We will be back to the North Shore and would DEFINITELY stay here again!

We stayed 5 nights at Lynette's place and enjoyed every minute. You cannot beat the location for things to do and places to eat. So many things are within walking distance (sights, eating places, grocery store, etc.). Lynette was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area and accommodating. When we would see her during the stay, she always asked if there was anything we needed. Her description of the place is accurate, the photos are true and the studio was very clean and well maintained. We certainly plan to stay here again on our next visit to the north shore and would recommend this property to a friend.

Just back from 8 wonderful days at Lynette's amazing studio.I spent alot of time researching where to stay and we sure picked the right place (especially after seeing where some of the other places we were considering actually were). The location was perfect, being able to walk down to Starbucks for americanos and pastries from Foodland every morning was such a treat. We walked to Waimea Bay, Shark's Cove and 3 Tables every day which was so convientient when the parking lots were full. The bikes and bike path made it so easy to get to Sunset Beach and Ted's Bakery. It's not on the Kam Hwy so you get very very little traffic noise. Lynette knows the area very well and is always willing to offer suggestions on where to eat and what to see. The studio itself was spotless! The bed was very comfy and we had more than enough room for the 2 of us. The kitchen was perfect for the cooking we did. Foodland is a great place to get groceries and there is a Costco about 25 min away if you want to stock up. We felt very safe and secure there and cannot wait to go back! We'd highly recommend this studio to our family and friends. Don't hesitate to book here, you won't be disappointed!

Let me start with the best review possible: I will stay here again! The property is clean, cozy and quiet. Convenient to all north shore beaches, activities and sights. Lynette is a most gracious host and the "alohal" spirit prevails throughout your stay. You will have access to bikes, boogie boards, beach mats, etc, etc. Waimea is a short walk and Banzai/pipeline, sunset beach but a short stroll or bike ride away. Shark's cove and three tables are a stone's throw from the property as is Foodland which has anything you'll need. Great location for those who wish to immerse themselves in the north shore culture and spend their day in or near the water. If you are looking for meticulously manicured gardens and landscapes this is not the property for you. If you want easy beach access, a laid back stay and a north shore vibe then don't hesitate to stay at this location. Kitchen is small but you can easily prepare light meals, Haleiwa is a short drive with all the ammenities you'll need. Forget Honolulu/Waikiki, stay in the country!

Having spent hours pretrip weighing so many possibilities, I was delighted my vacation rental was everything I had hoped for and more! The studio is furnished very high end & decorated with professional flair. It could easily rent for more. Everything you need is included: from the fully stocked kitchenette (even basic condiments), to the beach cruisers for taking the highway protected bike path to Ted's Bakery for chocolate haupia pie. Being too short for most bikes, Lynette even let me use her "girls" bike-she is super accomodating. As parking at Shark's Cove can get congested, you will feel smugly superior that it is a 2 minute walk away. Don't even bother with the bike for that outing - or for Starbucks & Foodland. Borrow the boogie boards when you go to nearby beaches like picturesque Waimea Beach Park. With nearby Turtle Beach, the Kahuku shrimp trucks, shaved ice at Aoki's or Matsumoto you will be kicking yourself if you do not take advantage of the week rate.

We had a wonderful stay in Lynette's North Shore studio. It was beautifully designed and furnished, clean and well equipped for light cooking. You will never sleep in a more comfortable bed! Lynette was most accommodating to our needs. The bikes were a nice touch, although we didn't use them much. The location was convenient to beaches, Foodland and restaurants but the property is so private you feel like you're living in the country. There is an interesting historic ancient Hawaiian temple (heiau) a mile or two up Pupukea Street with beautiful views of Waimea Bay.

My daughters and I felt lucky to have found this place for part of our vacation. We especially loved having the bikes available, which gave us such easy access to the beach and to the nearby Waimea Valley botanical gardens (which we loved.) Lynette, the proprietor, was generous with helpful hints and suggestions. It was very comfortable for the three of us - not cramped at all, with complete cooking facilities, no detail forgotten. I recommend this place to anyone - I'd go back in a heartbeat, and hope to have the opportunity to do just that.

This studio is a beautiful and functional place to use as a home base for exploring the North Shore and Oahu. Kitchen space is good for breakfasts and snacks, a gas BBQ is right outside. The two real gems of this studio are its location and the owner. This studio is attached to a main house, but is extremely quiet. There is a security screen door on the front door so you can catch the tradewinds in the evening. The home sits on an acre of property which is located directly behind the Foodland store off of Pupukea road. While this may not sound appealing, you do not even notice the store in any way when you are on the property. It is EXTREMELY convenient to walk to the store to buy your food, beverages, and supplies, and there is NO other supermarket for a great distance. You can get EVERYTHING you need at Foodland. Next to Foodland is Starbucks. Great for coffee on the beach. Lynette, the owner, is great and will greet you warmly and make sure your stay is everything you want it to be, and yet respect your privacy. She is full of advice on what to do and where to go. She will do anything in her power to make sure your stay is a wonderful one. This studio is located right across the street from Three Tables beach and Shark’s Cove. It is also at the end of the beautiful 8 mile bike path which will take you to the Banzi Pipeline and Sunset Beach, as well as miles of other secluded beaches. You are also extremely close to The Waimea Valley Audubon Center and waterfall, and Waimea Bay. Thank you Lynette for a wonderful stay! Oh, and Eat at OPAL's Thai food truck in Haliewa amazing food, memorable service (go through the main drag, find the "food truck ditch"), and take surf lessons from the North Shore Surf Girls!

My partner and I stayed at Lynette's place for a week in August, and we'd return in a heartbeat! The apartment had everything we needed, and was meticulously clean, bright, and airy. It's just steps from the grocery store and a five minute walk to the beach. We did not even need a car when we were there as Lynette had bikes and everything we needed was within walking/biking distance. The decor is very nice, and the furniture is more comfortable than any hotel I've ever stayed in. Lynette was available to us when we needed, but respected our privacy. We loved staying here, and highly recommend it. It's close to Three Tables beach, Waimea Bay, Shark's Cove, and Sunset Beach. There are food stands, snorkel rentals, and bus stops within a half mile radius of the house. If you want a relaxing, carefree week on the North Shore, this is your place!
