We stayed in Cordoba 1205 which had a great view from the 12th floor. The unit was a spacious and georgeous one bedroom right off the elevator which made trips to the car parked in the basement at the elevator entrance very easy. We never heard any other elevator traffic noise and the elevators worked great. The unit was beautiful, great outside patio to sit and read, drink coffee, etc. The weather was also much cooler on Apr 30 than over Memorial Day which made my round of golf much more enjoyable. The golf course was much more interesting than it looks from the street, fairways and greens in good condition, though the greens were very slow for putting. We were hoping for a quiet weekend and we stayed until Tuesday, though there was a volleyball tournament all day Saturday with loud music blaring throughout the day Sat and Sunday. The food by the pool was great, the water brisk and refreshing. Overall, a great weekend. Needs Improvement - The shower - anemic - needs a better shower head; The laundry room door, wouldn't latch closed.....needs adjustment. The living room DVD player - doesn't respond to the remote, even after we replaced the batteries, didn't want to go into play mode manually, and it took a while to figure out which input to select. All minor issues, the staff was friendly and helpful, the grounds well maintained, and Monday and Tuesday were very peacefull.

The apartments were awesome! It feels like it was done by the owner "for himself / herself" - really feels like home while every single item in the room are of a high quality and matching each other unlike some other places. It was nice having business with you and we might actually want to repeat this some time :)

Let me start by saying that my husband and I were a little concerned about traveling to Mexico (from Tucson) because of the travel advisory. We found Las Palomas and this unit through VRBO and decided to give it a try for a weekend. We chose this unit because it was in the newer phase of Las Palomas, it sounded quiet and we were looking for a clean place to stay - since we both have allergies. The unit pretty much met all of our expectations. The bedroom is very quiet even though it is across a large open corridor from the elevator. The rooms are very clean, no carpeting, and the kitchen is quite functional. It was very comfortable and I would stay here again. The owners were helpful and answered a couple of my questions promptly. We didn't have any issues (such as those reported on TripAdvisor) about strange charges on credit cards. One thing to try to do - take a couple of folding chairs, some appetizers and drinks, and go down to the beach at sunset. Sit right at the edge of the ocean and watch the sun go down. It's a very special feeling. Also, we didn't have any trouble driving down from Tucson. The road is in very good shape and it's a straight shot. We did bring our own water and gassed up the car at Why (in AZ). We also got Mexican car insurance there (also available in Lukeville), and I recommend this. The parking at Las Palomas is in a garage under the building and is very safe. The only shortcoming, in my opinion, is that Wi-Fi is only available in "common areas", not in the units themselves. We didn't miss it because we were only there a weekend. It would become an issue for us if we stayed longer. But most people probably wouldn't care. Also, some of the pools were a little cool for me. I think only some of them were heated while we were there.

This condo is spectacular with amazing beach front views. Everything in it is top quality from the bed to the kitchen appliances. Checking in to Las Palomas is easy and the complex as well as Rocky Point is safe. We spent our days on the beach as well as fishing on the Sea of Cortez and had a great time with both; enjoying the warm weather and scenery. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking to vacation down in Rocky Point.
Owner response:Thank you for the gracious review. We are very pleased everything went smoothly for you and you enjoyed the unit as well as Rocky Point. Hope to have you back again in the future.

This condo is everything you want for a vacation or a long weekend get away. My husband and I stayed here last September and we are set to go again this October and every year after that. The place is fantastic, very specious, well decorated and clean. I want to point out that the room is facing against the direct sunlight so you will be able to enjoy all afternoon out on the patio, you can really only appriciate that when you are there and see all those other patios empty and curains drawn because of the direct sun and heat. If you are on for a challange take the stairs : ) If you have never been to Puerto Penasco let me tell you the people are friendly and they do not overwhelm you with trying to sell stuff (very nice) nothing like TJ or Ensenada.....the water is perfect nice and warm too. all in all if you are planning a trip and have 4 or less people rent this place you will LOVE IT.

Just got back from spending a long weekend at this condo. If you are thinking about it .... think no more. TAKE IT. This is a very nice resort with plenty to do. Breakfast at the local restaurant is great, people are very nice and non of that pushy stuff from vendors. El Malecon is a great place to shop I recommend you look around and try to buy from one place as much as possible that deals are even better. We ended up with 6 of the med. and large metal fishes and turtles for 105 bucks. Partying was not somthing we were looking for but did see a few clubs on our way down to El Malecon. NOTE: fresh fresh shrimp is not until October season closes for a few months in the summer I whish we would have known before we booked. The condo is everything you hope for, cleaning lady is very nice and comes in at about 2pm. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU DECIDE ON GOING. Enjoy!!
Owner response:What a wonderful review~ Thank you. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the town as much as the resort. We look forward to having you as guests again in the future.

With this being my first trip to Rocky Point I was a little hesitant and not sure what to expect. Las Palomas turned out to be a fantastic resort and even exceeded my expectations. This unit is perfect, you have an incredible view looking out over the ocean and down the coastline. You are very close to the beach, pool and barbecues. The unit was first class with all the amenities one would want. Its high enough to avoid all the pool noise, yet the closest to the elevator to easily get wherever you want to go. I would encourage anyone considering other units to give this one a try first.
Owner response:We are so happy to hear your first trip to Rocky Point was such a success. Thank you for the wonderful compliments on the unit and we hope to have you again as guests in the future.

This unit was amazing and comparable to higher-end resorts I have stayed at in other locations in Mexico. The property is beautiful and has everything you'd want for a getaway. My girlfriend and I just needed 48 hours away, and it provided the perfect setting for that. The unit is well appointed and supplied with everything you might need. We brought our own food to prepare and found everything in the cabinets and drawers that we would need to prepare what we had. The grills were immediately outside the elevators, and the elevator is right next to the unit, so going up and down to grill dinner was an easy evolution. The front-desk staff is very accommodating and friendly, and help make arrival, check-in, and stay very smooth. We loved both the pristinely clean beach and sea water, and the lazy river for just "chilling". We can't wait to go back and will certainly seek out this specific unit again.

Las palomas is a first class resort. The beach is wide, sandy and clean. The pool is spectacular and the golf course is well manicured and challenging. The condo itself is the best part. It is a gorgeous unit with a magnificent view. The furnishings are top notch and the balcony is large and offers a view of notonly the ocean but also the pool area. We and our grandchildren had a wonderful time on the beach. The jet skis and banana boat rides were particularly fun. Lots of vendors on the beach, but all were very respectful of our wishes to either shop or be left alone. There are some very good restaraunts in town and fresh seafood is plentiful if you want to bring it back and cook in. We will definately be back and recommend it to our friends.
Owner response:Tom and Colleen, What a wonderful review! We are so happy to hear you had a great time with your family at Las Palomas. We hope to host you as guests again in the future. Best Wishes, Michael & Christine Johnson

My wife and I spent 4 wonderful days in Rocky Point, June 10-14. This 1-BR condo is one of the nicest units we have stayed at (anywhere). The 12th floor views are spectacular of the ocean and city. The unit itself is beautifully furnished with all the comforts of home. The owners were exceptionally helpful in the trip planning process. Las Palomas is a great resort, right on Sandy Beach, as good as any you will find in Mexico. We highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first and most definitely not our last trip to Puerto Penasco. The resort and your suite are beautifully maintained. It had everything we could possibly need and we felt right at home the whole time. The view from the deck is amazing and a stunning place to sit and enjoy our morning coffee. I don't think the pictures do the place justice as it is absolutely stunning both inside and out. Thank you Christine for renting to us and for answering all our questions before we arrived. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends, in fact, I already have.

First, I want to say that I had exceptional communication with the owner from the initial inquiry regarding the available dates and questions regarding the condo. We were immediately impressed with the unit upon arrival. The underground parking was right next to the elevator which made transporting everything very convenient as the condo was also right outside the elevator on the 12th floor. We absolutely loved everything about the condo. It had such a warm feeling when we walked inside that the pictures didn't seem to do it justice. It was very clean, beautifully decorated, had a wonderfully equipped kitchen, comfortable living area and an inviting balcony with magnificent views! It was extremely spacious and seemed equivalent to a two bedroom condo. This condo offers free internet for those who need to touch base with family which was a wonderful feature for us. There is a fully equipped laundry room that also has a hand wash basin. In the abundance of closets, we found board games. The owner also has a collection of movies and the tv has an amazing sound system! There is a wine cooler for wine lovers out there. Last, but not least, we got a great night's sleep on very comfortable beds (bedroom and pull out couch) listening to the sounds of the ocean. I truly think there's a huge difference between ocean front and ocean view. This condo is an ocean front property with the most spectacular views. I would recommend this condo for anyone who is looking for a place that reminds them of the comforts of home while enjoying an ocean getaway!

This Vacation Condo was extremely clean and well decorated. The view from the Balcony is one of the best views at Las Palomas. Unit is fully equipped and comfortable. It is a very quiet and peaceful setting. Just take elevator down 12 floors and you are on the great beach at RP and can enjoy all the amenities of Las Palomas. The pool, spas, and lazy river are great for the entire family. The pictures very accurate and you will be quite impressed with this vacation spot. It feels like home away from home. I can't wait to go back and highly recommend staying at this Great Vacation Spot.

This unit was amazing to stay in! We loved everything about it! The location of the unit in the complex was very convenient. It is close to the elevator which makes unloading the car very easy. The unit was immaculate when we arrived. The view is incredible. The furnishings in the unit are stylish and tasteful - the pictures almost don't do them justice! The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to all of our questions/concerns. Las Palomas in general is a very nice resort. Lots of pools, and more importantly, pool lounge chairs. Check-in / check-out was a breeze. We look forward to staying in this unit in the future!

We stayed at this condo this weekend and enjoyed the communication with the owners for the arraignments to rent. Even at short notice. The gate guard was waiting for us and the front desk check in was a breeze. The parking garage kept the sun off my truck and was an elevator ride to our door. The condo was stocked with everything but food and beer. Air conditioning and double pane windows kept it quiet and cool indoors. Filtered water sink-side, so we did not have to worry about drinking the 'lo
