It literally was the best four days in my life. 15 of my closest friends staying in one house for a bachelor party. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The living room and kitchen are in great condition. With a nice LCD flat screen .The deck is really the key to the whole property. Every morning we all gathered on the deck in the beautiful weather with a view of the lake right in front of us. The neighborhood is quiet upscale and clean. Everything about this trip was perfect. Rusty was polite. We will be staying there again no doubt. The jacuzzi and pool table put it over the top. Cheers Mike from NY

We had a large family gathering at the house including children and grandchildren with 22 at the house on Christmas day and 14 staying at the house for a week. The infomration about the house was accurate, the house was clean and the owner was helpful. Beautiful view of the lake and plenty of fun activities nearby in Nashville and surrounding area. We enjoyed the Hermitage, the Nashville Zoo, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Gaylord Hotel Christmas display and local restaurants during our stay.

You will not be disappointed with this house or the owners. My co-workers and I rent this house usually 2-3 times a year. In fact I just sent payment for 2 days in June. Rusty is always so nice and ready to accomodate any needs we may have. The house is big enough that you can have several small groups doing seperate activities or everyone together at one time.

Actually the whole side of the pool table was broke and is being replaced, couch with broke back is being replaced as well, (a party got a little more than wild) while the new cleaning lady did show up later this group stayed 3.5 hours later there last day and i discounted half the 1st day. They DID have clean sheets, linens, hot tub was cleaned, decks were blown off, dishes were clean, railing has 2000 pound cable so there is NO WAY godzilla is going throuh it. We are taking care of some repairs after a extremely busy active season.

Our group of 9 co-workers stayed in Rusty's home in October 2011. Here is the good and the bad of our experience: Pro's: - beautiful view of the lake - lots of bedrooms - plenty of space in common areas - flat screen in living room was great for watching the football game - optional boat rental was a great feature - safe neighborhood - plenty of parking for 5+ cars - short drive to/from Nashville airport - Rusty was responsive on our first day when things didn't go as planned. Cons: - Woman scheduled to clean never showed up. We had no sheets, towels, dirty dishes and floors, etc for first 5 hours of our rental. - Sheets, pillow cases, and towels were low quality, worn, and many were stained. - Hornets nest in the gazibo in the featured photograph - Carpets are stained - Couch is broken (don't lean back!) - Rusty was unresponsive or offered partial answers to our email requests in the days leading up to the rental. - Boat rental final cost was inconsistent with verbal agreed upon amount. - Being on the lake was a highlight of our trip, but the boat itself was old, dirty, and the cover to provide shade on the lake was broken (no pin to hold up the support pole). - Be careful of the back deck railing on the house porch, it wobbles if you lean on it. - Microwave display is broken - Soap dispensers appeared to be filled with water - Pool table rails are all broken - One of the bedrooms is literally a closet. This was fine for us, just different than what I expected. - Hill down to the lake it the steepest I have ever walked. We had a pregnant woman with us that we were concerned about being able to scale the grade. Disabled or elderly may not be able to make it. Overall, we had an AMAZING retreat. Rusty helped us resolve our concerns. I hope this review will help others know what to expect.

I am a homemaker & Realtor for 15 years. Now, I take care of cleaning this lake house for Rusty. I am very particular about cleaning it to perfection. It needed new comforters & the old pool table needed repair. Some of the guest get a little rowdy & break things or rip things, we have no control over that. All the comforters have been replaced with pretty new ones & Rusty even bought a beautiful state of the art billiard table for the recreation room. This is a very clean & special place for family functions & business parties. Enjoy & please take care of it like it was your own home so others may enjoy it too.

VERY disappointed with this rental! Chose this house in late March for our annual trip based on 1) Location, 2) # of bedrms/baths, 3) VRBO listing pictures, 4) Good reviews thru March '11. Our positive comments: 1) Centrally/easily located, 2) Nice neighborhood, 3) Beautiful view from deck. Our negative comments: Storm door locked-no immediate access to keyless entry. Missing/burned out lightbulbs. Patio door won't lock. Bedroom closet air vent moldy & no cover. Sofa broken. Carpet/floors very dirty. Three broken windows-glass on deck. Hot tub dirty. Surround sound wouldn't work. Deck furniture moldy. Poison oak/ivy grown up around deck/hot tub. Dishwasher falls forward. Microwave touch pad broken. 2 Dining room chairs wobbly. Basement tub shower liner moldy-ring around tub. Master bath jets moldy. Some elec outlets don't work. Carpets under beds very dirty/dead bugs. Ceiling light in downstairs kitchen loaded with dead bugs. Without these negative issues the house would have been great. Hope the owner finds a good cleaning person and addresses all of these issues. We loved our trips to downtown Nashville, Franklin & Arrington Vineyards!

After having read the positive reviews, some family members and my husband and I decided to rent this property for Labor Day week. When we pulled up to the home, we were greeted with a broken rocker and lots of bugs and cobwebs all around the doors and windows on the front porch. One shutter had fallen off a window. Inside the house was very dirty, dusty, and generally unclean. The kitchen had to be cleaned before we were comfortable putting our groceries in the refrigerator. The stove was crusty, the toaster was broken and did not work, and there were no spices as promised in the listing. Greasy spotty wine glasses in the rack. We rewashed all the dishes before using them. The floors were very dirty as well. Downstairs there were saturated ceiling tiles in one of the bedrooms that were hanging over the bed. The downstairs kitchenette was filthy and there were dead bugs all over that level. The boombox in the pool room was non-working and the plug was missing. The beds we used were comfortable but the bedskirts were badly ripped and some of the bedspreads were stained. There were a number of light bulbs burned out and the paper goods (trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues) were not there as promised. One of the sofas was broken and the display on the microwave was pushed in and difficult to use. Dust very thick on curtains, lamps, ceiling fans, etc. Beautiful view of the lake through very dirty windows. Some barstools in the kitchen stained and unclean looking. We cleaned the entire first afternoon making it habitable for the week. General mustiness throughout. Rusty showed up on Sunday and we showed him our concerns. He agreed that it was dirty and he needed to check on his cleaning crew. He never made an offer to replace the things we were missing. He gave us a very modest refund to "pay for the cleaning". We never saw him again. The entire property has so much potential but is very neglected in respect ot cleanliness and general disrepair. Lovely location on the lake and reasonably close to the Nashville area to enjoy.

We stayed at the house for a family reunion and had an amazing time. The house is so spacious! It's clean, very welcoming and nicely stocked with so many things that make you feel so "at home!" It was well located to stores and not too far from most of the Nashville sites. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly return. Thanks Rusty for everything!

I can't say enough about The Cove at Old Hickory!! The house was perfect! Enough room for people to enjoy each other's company but still have privacy when you wanted it!! The scenery was awesome, good location, close to stores with needed "supplies" for our long weekend!! Perfect for "the guys", "the girls", or a family get-together!! To try and say it all wouldn't be enough! Great place, Rusty!

We had my Mother's 50th birthday celebration with family from out-of-town and we were very impressed with this beautiful home! Very clean, nicely decorated, and extremely cozy. All the rooms were VERY spacious! We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, and the kids enjoyed the sunroom watching cartoons. The kitchen and bathroom were equipped with everything that we needed. The oversized deck would be wonderful in the spring and summertime. Thank you Rusty for being so flexible and you will definitely be hearing from us soon!

My relatives needed a place to gather for a last minute family event. All my relatives were pleasantly surprised by the roominess & the beauty. The large kitchen was a great place to prepare all the food & enjoy everyone's company at the same time. Everyone enjoyed the gorgeous view of the lake from the decks. It was so relaxing & peaceful. We were able to keep up with the Titans game & still have our large family get together. Everyone was impressed with the spaciousness of the home, the cleanliness, & the decor. This is the kind of place I would love to stay in for a long time vacation. Oh, love the hot tub on the deck & the tubs inside with the jets:) My relatives are thinking about this for a future get together. My cousin loved the pool table. My niece loved the neighbors, they played all day. Great area:)

5/5 Vacation Saver Fabulous Place San Angelo, Tx. Date Submitted: September 25, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009 Rusty saved our vacation... we had to find a new place to stay (the first place was scary and dangerous). This home was georgeous, well kept and had tons of room. the kids enjoyed the pool table, fishing and the hot tub. It is close to Walmart and the drive into Nasheville was surprisingly short. Rusty bent over backward to get us into the home and to make accomidations tor WIFI access, a must for college students. Even with 13 people in the home, we could hardly hear the children playing in the other parts of the home. We had Karaoke in the downstairs sunroom and Gutar Hero in the upstairs sunroom and could not hear either one in the house, talk about paridise. If the weather is nice the deck is great to eat on. The neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood is quiet. Overall, outstanding place to stay.

My friends and I rented this house for two nights to have a little reunion of sorts. Once we arrived, we were amazed at the place! The view of the lake was fantastic, and we just couldn't believe how much space there was. This place is perfect to accomodate several overnight guests and everyone still has plenty of room to move around. We even had several additional guests for a party and it was all very comfortable. The location is tucked away in a neighborhood but not so far away from grocery stores and shopping centers that it is inconvenient to run out incase you forgot anything. It's about a 30 minute drive to the airport, downtown Nashville, and Opry Mills. I have recommended this property for my extended family to all get together as well.
