Our entire family flew down from southern Ohio and we found everything we needed at the Hanna`s beach house. The beach was a short walk away with no one around, talk about private.My In-laws stayed in the ground floor apartment poolside and loved it because that did not have to walk up and down the stairs.We have 2 children (12 &1 1/2 and with the internet for the 12 yr old and all the toys for the little guy it made for a perfect vacation. We will be back.

Just got back from Ft Myers Beach and the stay at this house. AWESOME is about all I can say. The house was so nice and clean, as well as comfortable. We had 11 females that came down from MN on a girls weekend and had an absolute blast! Pool area was nice to sit around, although kind of shaded so not a place to lay out and tan. No problem though, because you can head across the street for a quite, private beach, or drive down to the pier and enjoy lots of shopping, restaurants and tons of action on the beach. We spent all of Saturday there and had the best time. Everyone was so friendly! My sister dealt with the owner directly and he was so helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this for familes as well as a "girls weekend". Only thing that should be updated is the number of beds. I says 4 twin beds, but there are only 3....and one of those is a top bunk. A 44 year old climbed up there easily and slept, so it was no big deal. Also, the downstairs area is not accessible from inside of the house. You have to go outside and enter from a different door. Kind of like a little apartment down there. 4 adults slept down there and it worked out great! So happy we found this house. I would go back again!

Owner response:The fourth twin bed is part of a trundle bed. It needs to be pulled out from below the bed.

Lovely home less than 5 min.walk to beach!!

Our son was stationed at Ft. Hood in Texas with the US Army for 3 years and spent 1 year in Iraq. He missed many family vacations with us. Our youngest daughter is 18 and going away to college in the fall. I was on a quest for the PERFECT family vacation! I did extensive research on the internet. The Hanna house gave us THE PERFECT VACATION!! I can’t thank Mike Hanna enough for our experience! Many properties said they were “within walking distance” to the beach. Mike Hanna was the ONLY one who truly was! I Google Earthed all the properties and this house is 1 house/cross the street/1 house and you’re there! Walk down a beautiful, fragrant path to the secluded, pristine white sandy beach. Crowded “hotel” beaches are further down the island. It’s truly less than a 5 minute walk! The pier is a 2 mile walk or about a less than 10 minute car ride. We wanted our “kids” to be able to explore the Ft. Myers Beach island as they pleased. The trolley is just steps away and only 50 cents. They rented scooters one day and went exploring. Our son worked out every day at Hammerhead Muscle Beach Gym. The library is just a mile down Estero. The house FAR exceeded our expectations!! We have rented many homes but nothing in this home disappointed! Clean, attractive, beautiful décor and screened pool/patio. Our family included 6 adults and 1 child age 7. They have an endless supply of games, books, even crafts on hand. Bikes, pool toys, rafts, beach umbrella, cooler, beach chairs…all you need, all provided! So spacious that we enjoyed each others company but were able to have privacy and time away. The front and back screened in porches were wonderful complete with deck chairs/ashtrays. At night with little traffic on Estero Blvd. you can actually hear the ocean/waves from the porch! Double doors open to the front porch from the 1st floor BR and LR. From the upper level BR and BA you can see the ocean! Beautiful, well kept neighborhood our grandson enjoyed riding the provided bike. 3 BR 2 BA in the main house with vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, large accommodating kitchen table. Lower level you will find a full apartment! 1 BR 1 BA with sleeper sofa and fully furnished kitchen. Mike Hanna was extremely helpful answering all my emails/questions. We didn’t need them but supplied was a double stroller and portable baby crib. We will definitely be back!! The area is friendly, gorgeous, with many activities! Thank you again for our wonderful memories!

Fun Colorful Beach House

This Beach House is a wonderful location , steps away from the beach, short distance from grocery store and restaurants. The property was wonderful for a family, walk to the beach then come back wash off the sand outside and relax in the pool!!! Our grandchildren loved the toys provided and the open concept of the main living area made keeping an eye on them easy. We had a blast and the owner was great. I would highly recommend this property and am looking forward to going back. :)

not as I expected

The house is pretty spacious and neighborhood is great and quite, close to the beach and the Publix market which makes it very practical, however had to fix the pool screen that was loose in different areas in order to keep my kids away from mosquitoes, shower drain was clogged, as contracted we organized the house upon departure, my mother even cleaned again my will however deposit was lost, try to contact the owner to show him the pictures taken the very same day of the departure and the conditions the house was left and never responded to emails of my phone calls so be aware vacationers, the place overall was great unless you don’t mind doing what you paid for and loosing some money

Excellent Beach Escape

We escaped snowy Chicago and had a wonderful week! How nice to simply walk across the street to the beach access with our towels, chairs, toys, umbrella, all provided. We shared the house with my sister's family and had plenty of room to spare; really enjoyed the screened porch and had coffee there every morning. Very much enjoyed the new Bayfront Bistro restaurant near Publix, the Lazy Flamingo on Sanibel, and the Times Square area. We didn't lack for anything, and were very comfortable (beds, awesome couches) and it was so nice to be able to underpack and do laundry. Thanks very much to the Hanna family for sharing your house, and to Mike and Mark, the island contact, for responding so quickly when we had a lock malfunction; it was fixed before we returned from dinner. We'll be back!

The house was terrific, colourful and tasteful decor. The amenities were very good, the ground floor second kitchen & wash room was very convenient for pool use and BBQing. The beach could not be easier to access and there are plenty of beach toys, chairs etc. Make sure you go to the docks to buy some of the best scallops and shrimp we have ever eaten.

We just returned from this WONDERFUL house, and can't wait to make plans to return. There was NOTHING missing. It accommodated our 2 families and was very child-friendly (5 kids ranging from 2-9!!! and 4 grown-ups). We all loved the pool---there are pool toys galore, a grill and a radio. We just bought a child monitor for the little ones nand walkie talkies for the older kids so we could socialize around the pool after bedtime, and still connect with the main living space easily...We also loved from a safety perspective that the kids couldn't access the pool readily through the main living space. The beach is sooo incredibly close---I have had to walk farther from condos and hotels right on the beach. What a beautiful private beach; quiet and clean. The toys and computer and dvd's and books were amazing. Our kids were so occupied. It was like home away from home. Mark (the island contact) was prompt and communicative. The whole process of renting was also really easy; the owners are very available and helpful. The screened balconies all around the home, as well as the separate pool 'apartment' (as we referred to it) downstairs added character, and just the right 'away' space so people were never crowded. There was a complete kitchen, bath and bedroom down there off the pool patio--so easy to hang out at the pool and have all the comforts right there without going back upstairs. The furnishings and linens felt clean and nice and everything was decorated and appealing. I am VERY picky in choosing our beach destinations. This is our new "family favorite"...I have told all our friends with families about.
