This charming craftsman style 3200 sq. ft. home is located in Historic Glen Ellen, walking distance from downtown with a wonderful gourmet grocery, fine restaurants, a local bar and some of the Sonoma Valley's great wineries. This vintage home was built in the 1920s and features original hardwood floors, beautiful antiques, a full gourmet kitchen with granite counters and a professional gas cook top surrounded by a butcher block island. The kitchen is open to the large family room with its stone fireplace and entertainment center. Great for enjoying dinner with friends and family, the full length screened- in porch is ideal for outside dining and leads to a beautifully landscaped yard with mature trees, flower gardens, flagstone paths and BBQ area with a large gas BBQ. Private chef services, with Chef Charles Holmes, are available at the house and private winery tours can be arranged at any time. Private tastings for you and your friends are available at the house, upon request, compliments of Benziger and Imagery wineries. The home has been lovingly restored and is in a very quiet neighborhood with a lot of privacy, yet virtually in the center of town.
The town of Glen Ellen has a long and colorful past and offers many unique adventures. Jack London State Park is just up the road, where you can visit Wolf House the home of author Jack London, with tours of the historic grounds. There are many hiking trails nearby with Sonoma State Park only 1 block away, and wonderful wineries to visit all within minutes from the house. In Oakmont, just 10 miles north, there are two public golf courses available. The town of Sonoma is 12 miles south, with its Historic Plaza, shops, restaurants, wine tasting and the Sebastiani Theatre, built in 1933 and still showing current films. The Sonoma Coast is only 45 minutes away, with beaches, fishing and diving. The drive along the Russian River to the coast is a fabulous way to spend a day in the Redwood Empire.
Two bedrooms on the main level and a third bedroom upstairs provide plenty of sleeping area and privacy. There's also an extra sleeper area in the sun-room. Both bathrooms are hall baths accessible to all bedrooms. This beautiful home is available by the night, with a two night minimum, the week, or for long term rentals. Contact owner for availability and rates.

This Glen Ellen house is lovely, well maintained and stocked to perfection. Our two night stay was relaxing, comfortable and easy. I would highly highly recommend this to anyone who wants more flexibility than a hotel can provide, including a gorgeous kitchen, laundry room and bathroom suppies if needed.
