Welcome to Alilys-on-Cayuga! Our quaint 1930’s cottage will make for a most memorable vacation. Relax and enjoy one of the most breathtaking views of Cayuga Lake. Spend the day lounging on our beautiful beach. Create a fabulous feast in our cook’s kitchen and dine outside overlooking the lake. End your evening with a bonfire on the beach, roasting marshmallows over the fire pit.
Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region, Alilys-on-Cayuga is only minutes from several wineries, restaurants, farmers markets and great shopping. Conveniently located 30 minutes from downtown Ithaca, Cornell University and Ithaca College. You are only a short fifteen minute ride to historic Aurora and King Ferry.
The cottage has a full kitchen, stocked with plenty of utensils, pots & pans and serving dishes, perfect for the chef in the family. Wrap yourself in a cozy quilt on chilly nights, or take pleasure in the fire pit outside for romantic campfires. Not to worry… the cottage is heated! Lovely wood deck with the best view of the lake for miles. All tile and hardwood floors. Large three season porch has picturesque view of lake to enjoy the sunset while dining or sipping morning coffee as the sun rises from the east.
Living area appointed with comfy furniture, satellite TV and Bose sound system to plug in your IPOD.
Alilys-on-Cayuga comfortably sleeps six. Two bedrooms, one queen and two twins (may be converted to a king), and a three season porch with a day bed (and a trundle bed tucked underneath) & one full bathroom.
Only twenty sloping steps to our 110 foot lake front beach. Perfect for swimming, fishing or boating. Have lunch on the beach in the gazebo or bask in the sun on the private dock.

We have been renting on the East Shore of Cayuga Lake for the last few years and really fell in love with the area. It was so fortuitous that we found this gem of a cottage! We loved renovating it, imagining what others would need to feel completely at home and relaxed while vacationing at Alilys-on-Cayuga.
Why the Owner Chose Ithaca
One gets the best of both worlds at Alilys-on-Cayuga! On one hand there is a great deal of privacy and quiet. The cottage has over 100 feet of lake front, a private dock, and a gazebo right on the beach for lunch or enjoying wine and cheese in the late afternoon. It is so peaceful on this bend in the lake! On the other hand, the cottage is 30 minutes to Ithaca, Cornell and Ithaca College with all of the hustle and bustle that comes with going into town. There are wonderful restaurants of every type in Ithaca, a fantastic Farmer's Market on Saturday and Sundays and lots of shopping. State parks are a short drive away for hiking & biking and there are numerous wineries throughout the Finger Lakes region. Alilys-on-Cayuaga provides a great, central location to vacation where one can do nothing but sit and take in life or take advantage of all the area has to offer!
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
The peacefulness of the mornings, listening to the world on the lake wake up! The sunsets are amazing whether you are at the picnic table, on the beach, hanging on the deck or eating at the dining room table. Riding bikes up, up, up Nut Ridge Road and then exploring the area on two wheels. Curling up on the daybed with a good book for hours and hours. The beach, the beach, the beach! Cooking up meals at a leisurely pace. Swimming, floating, paddling. Sleeping on the dock in the afternoon sun. The view, did we say the view!

We spent our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip here. The property speaks for itself- it's beautiful inside and out. A clean, comfortable, cozy, well equipt cottage with adorable details inside and beautiful views outside. It's near so many great places- parks, wineries, farmers markets, and cute restaurants, and the rental process was friendly, efficient, and painless! I would highly recommend staying here. I would love to go again!!
