Our cottage provides a relaxing retreat from the real world. The cottage is completely equipped with everything you could need as far as the comforts of home. We stayed here for 3 summers and then when the cottage came up for sale, we were very excited to purchase it. You can do as little or as much as you like while you are in the Mt. Gretna area. Our family enjoys the shows at the Gretna Playhouse and Timbers Dinner Theater, or just curling up on the porch with a good book is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. Gretna is a very unique community. It is quiet and friendly and in some ways feels like you are going back in time.
We are also not far from Hershey Park, Lancaster's Pennsylvania Dutch Country and we are about an 1 1/2 hours from Philly.

Why the Owner Chose Mount Gretna
We were born and raised about 1/2 hour from this wonderful summer retreat and have always enjoyed coming here for ice cream or a hike or a play...but had never stayed here until a few years ago. Some folks thought it was odd to take a vacation 30 minutes away from where we live, but we have found it to be great, as we are dairy farmers and can get away for even just a day and relax on our porch. When you are at home, you can always find things to do and thus rarely relax. We loved the cottage that we stayed in for 3 summers and then when it came up for sale we seized the opportunity to own our little piece of Mt. Gretna.
