Our cottage provides a relaxing retreat from the real world. The cottage is completely equipped with everything you could need as far as the comforts of home. We stayed here for 3 summers and then when the cottage came up for sale, we were very excited to purchase it. You can do as little or as much as you like while you are in the Mt. Gretna area. Our family enjoys the shows at the Gretna Playhouse and Timbers Dinner Theater, or just curling up on the porch with a good book is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. Gretna is a very unique community. It is quiet and friendly and in some ways feels like you are going back in time.
We are also not far from Hershey Park, Lancaster's Pennsylvania Dutch Country and we are about an 1 1/2 hours from Philly.

Why the Owner Chose Mount Gretna
We were born and raised about 1/2 hour from this wonderful summer retreat and have always enjoyed coming here for ice cream or a hike or a play...but had never stayed here until a few years ago. Some folks thought it was odd to take a vacation 30 minutes away from where we live, but we have found it to be great, as we are dairy farmers and can get away for even just a day and relax on our porch. When you are at home, you can always find things to do and thus rarely relax. We loved the cottage that we stayed in for 3 summers and then when it came up for sale we seized the opportunity to own our little piece of Mt. Gretna.

I am one of the group of long-time high school friends who rented your Mt. Gretna cottage a few weekends ago. I wanted to be sure to let you know how much we appreciated your hospitality while we were there. There wasn’t a thing we could have asked for to make us more comfortable – every amenity was provided. Certainly worth mentioning is how clean the house is. The cottage is quaint and your pride in ownership shows. Thank you for sharing it with us. Getting together for our annual girlfriends’ weekend was only made better by gathering in such a picturesque setting.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+.

My family and I recently stayed in this very charming cottage. There were 4 adults and 3 cfhildren ages 11-14. We were all pleasantly surprised by the set up here. The house is so much better than the pictures depict. The area is lovely and there is so much to do both at the cottage and the surrounding areas. The cottage is extremely well appointed. It is pretty obvious that a lot of thought went in to the amenities. All we needed to bring was our food. There was nothing else that we needed to "move right in" for the week. I was also impressed with the cost of the cottage. My nephew has a beach house rental in a private community in Florida and this little place has everything his home does, and more. All of the kids want to come back next year - and we will, God willing! Many thanks to Ann and Jan Dorcas
