Vacationing at Edisto is an unique experience for those who want a non-commercial vacation. The condo was excellent with it's more than adequate bedrooms and baths. The screened porch is the luxury of the condo, usable at all times of the day and evening, For golfers the course is a beautiful course and fun to play. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the appliances and utensils that are needed to do any cooking that you may require. The condo is very clean, comfortable and very home-like feeling. Edisto Island has many things to experience at a leisurely pace - no hustle & bustle. I look forward to my third visit there very soon.
Owner response:Our favorite aspect of Edisto is the fact that it is not commercialized. It is fun to watch the folders, and we are pleased that you enjoyed the course. Thank you for being a return guest and we look forward to your next visit.

This was our second year to enjoy this wonderful condo. Once again we found it clean and comfortable. We enjoyed preparing great seafood suppers from King's Market and Flowers Seafood in the well equipped kitchen. There is a great library of games, videos, books that we enjoyed during the week. The couch and recliners are comfortable, quite inducive to reading and enjoying the TV. The owner takes an active interest in maintaining the property to high standards. I appreciated an e-mail during the week checking to see if everything was OK. Nothing in our experience supports what I have read in the review from the people who stayed a couple of weeks before us! I woudl highly recommend this property and definitely plan to return next year.
Owner response:Return guests such as these make all of our efforts worthwhile. It is a priority to us to make this property a place where our guests can enjoy the beauty and atmosphere of Edisto Beach. King's Market and Flowers Seafood are "must stops" on the way down Highway 174 for farm fresh vegetables, homemade frozen casseroles, and seafood fresh from the ocean. Visitors will also enjoy the homemade key lime pie from King's Market!

We had a wonderful vacation in Edisto and were very pleased with our accomodations. This villa is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable! After a stress-free day on the beach, it was a pleasure to come back to relax in the recliners or on the porch. In fact, I believe that a large portion of our vacation was spent enjoying the screened porch! We enjoyed the gorgeous view while drinking coffee in the mornings, playing games and listening to music,or eating dinner in the evenings. There was a great view of the 4th of July fireworks on the island and in the distance over the marsh! We also loved the additional refrigerator downstairs. Packing coolers for the beach or a boat ride is a breeze when you dont have to bring everything up and downstairs each day. There is also a large area underneath the villa in addition to parking. This was a great place for us to play games (we brought cornhole boards) in the evenings. There is also plenty of room to store beach chairs,umbrellas,etc... We found everything we could possibly need in the well-equipped kitchen. We also enjoyed the great selection of dvd movies. The owner is a pleasure to talk to, and is very personable and hepful. She was willing to go above and beyond for our group when we had questions about bringing a boat to the Wyndham community. This area had plenty of parking for our boat and additional vehicles. You will have a worry-free vacation, with an incredible view at this property.
Owner response:We are so pleased that you enjoyed your week with your boat at Edisto. Thanks for letting us know about the viewing of the Fourth of July fireworks from the porch. I am happy that the second refrigerator downstairs was helpful for cooler items. I am glad that you watched some of the DVDs and we are taking some new ones there at the end of the summer. We enjoy making the house fun for families. Playing games under the house is another good idea which we have not tried yet. We hope that you return soon!

This was my second trip to the beautiful island of Edisto and my second time staying in this great condo. My first trip was for a family vacation and this trip was for a girl's getaway vacation. Again, everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the beach, bike paths, and all the amenities the resort has to offer. The condo is very clean, comfortable, and the screened porch was a favorite gathering spot for all of us! It was perfect for our group of five. Thank you for a truly lovely vacation. Can't wait to return!

I have had the pleasure of staying in this special spot twice. My first visit was on September 2008. We found this place perfect and everything it was advertised to be. Spacious villa with a wonderful screen in deck offering the perfect view. The location allowed for access to the extensive bike paths and quick access to the beach. Edisto is truely a special southern treasure and this villa is the perfect place to experience it. Great for a family and the kids loved the loft bedroom!!
Owner response:We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit to Edisto and the view from the porch. Biking is one of our favorite activities to do there as well! We hope that you will return soon!

Our family stayed in your lovely home on our first visit to Edisto. We were looking for a relaxing location to spend some quality time together. Edisto did not disappoint! We spent lazy days on the beautiful beach, biking on the trails that run through the resort, hours sitting on the screened porch playing games (the condo has a terrific selection and many great DVD's), and enjoying the view.. Edisto also has some of the best seafood we've ever had. The condo was perfect for our group of six (my husband and myself, our two teenage children and two of their friends). The condo was spacious and very clean (a pet peeve of mine!) and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked and easy to cook in. Our family decided that our Edisto vacation was one our best! Thank you for sharing your home with us. We will definitely be back!
Owner response:We are so happy that you enjoyed Edisto and the house! Introducing a new visitor to Edisto is so fun. We look forward to having you back soon!

We had a fantastic vacation at this villa. We found it to be comfortable, spacious, very clean, and in the perfect location. We especially enjoyed the view of the marsh from the screened porch and spent many mornings watching the sun rise while drinking coffee on the porch. This was actually our second visit here and we hope to return this fall! Thank you for sharing your house with us!
Owner response:We are pleased that you enjoyed your vacation at Edisto. The sunrise is gorgeous from the screened porch and the master bedroom. I hope that you were able to explore the island a bit and visit Botany Bay. If not, please put that on your itinerary for your visit this fall! I look forward to talking with you soon and planning your fall trip.

The view is beautiful and the destination is wonderful. When we arrived at the condo at 10:00 pm, the interior temperature was 78 degrees. Before we made the arrangements, I told the owner that my father-in-law's medical condition required the house to be 72 degrees or lower. Atwood brought in a window unit to help relieve the heat. The interior of the house never got cooler than 74 degrees, even at 11:00 at night. Atwood told me that it was because of the temperatures. We had days over 90 degrees before I left home with humidity in the ninety percent range, but my house in Georgia was comfortable. I felt that the representative was used to using the excuse for the house being hot. When cooking, the living area warmed up an additional 4-5 degrees warmer. The upstairs has a large window without blinds. The upstairs temp was easily in the upper 80's. The air conditioner reparman told me that the air condition unit was not large enough to cool the house, especially with the large window upstairs. The refrigerator did not cool enough to keep food from spoiling, but Atwood sent someone out the next day to make repairs. The house also has a very serious bug problem. We killed palmetto bugs, roaches, and spiders all week. I called Atwood and they said an exterminator would be there but I am not convinced the exterminator came. I don't think they did much if they did spray because we watched spiders crawl over the ceiling before we left this morning. We took my in-laws with us because my father-in-law's health has deteriorated significantly over the last 16 months. It was difficult having a conversation because the window unit air condition was very loud. If I felt I had legal recourse, I would ask for a refund for the property rental.
Owner response:To our only negative review ever received: 1. Temperature: I was never told that the temperature must be set at 72. It is set at 78 upon arrival and guests may control it. The company which came for the service call is the same one which installed the heat pump in August 2010, so it is doubtful that they said it was not appropriate. 2. Refrigerator: Warm food filling a refrigerator takes a while to chill, as noted on the front of the refrigerator. No repair was necessary. 3. Blinds: Windows in the loft are insulated skylights in a high ceiling, not normally covered by blinds. 4. Pest Control: We have quarterly pest control and have never received a single complaint about bugs before. In our frequent trips, we have not seen bugs indoors. During his stay, I never received a phone call or email from this guest expressing dissatisfaction. I would have offered a refund and a switch to another house. I am pleased that our property manager acted promptly to try and meet his requests, going above and beyond with excellent service. He did stay until the moment of scheduled departure, enjoying the view. During this week, the exterminator performed an extra spray. The other two service calls required no action. I find this criticism unrepresentative and unfair. I strive to ensure that our guests have a great experience and our large percentage of return guests indicate that our efforts are successful.

My family had never been to Edisto. We were seeking out a RELAXING vacation and that is what we got. We found that this vacation home was clean, spacious & accomodating. The kitchen is well stocked for the cookers out there and the FAMILY GAME AND MOVIES were a great hit. The beds were ultimately comfortable and the bathrooms was great. The screened porch was a favorite with our group. The resort this house is in is well maintained and really just a great place to stay for relaxation. We ate one night out at the Water Front Restaurant and had great food but I would say go early or be willing to wait 45min - 1 hour for a group of 5 or more. Groups of 2 went in faster. We ate breakfast out once at the Sea Cow and it was good as well - get there before 9 a.m. for least amount of waiting. And we had a perfect cloudy day for visiting Botany Bay - a must see free adventure for anyone that has a interest in plantations and history. We will definitely be back to Edisto next time we are in need of a low key relaxing vacation !
Owner response:We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay! Edisto is such a special place...thanks for pointing out Botany Bay, only seven miles from the house. We hope that you return soon!

We enjoyed our stay at 767 Summerwind very much! The condo was clean, attractively decorated, and extremely comfortable. (It lives up the the pictures and description on this site.) We spent many hours on the wonderful screened porch enjoying the view. The kitchen is great with everything you could ask for to prepare meals, including great local seafood. I would highly recommend this property! We look forward to returning next summer.
Owner response:We are so pleased that you enjoyed your vacation at Edisto! We work hard to provide our guests with the items to make their stay comfortable and fun. Thank you so much and we look forward to having you back next year!
