Scott and Vickie own and built this house for themselves. They love the Duck area and only rent this property about 12 weeks per year. Duck is a very quaint area and the neighborhood is quiet. We are locals so if our renters need something, we are right them to serve them. Please call or email for availability. Calendar not always updated.

We spent a week here in late August 2010. 6 adults and 3 2ish little girls. We had a great time! The house is laid out well with plenty of room. Great heated pool and we could actually adjust the temperature ourselves. The hot tub was great. Very large and clean. Location was perfect for us. Close to Duck but not too close so you're away from traffic. Only 10-15 minutes from Corolla/Harris Teeter, etc. The beach was closer than I anticipated and the golf cart was VERY helpful to shuttle beach chairs and people throughout the day. It was great dealing directly with the owners. They were very accomodating. We showed up early Saturday morning to beat traffic and hung out at the pool while the house was being cleaned. I'm sure we'll be back!

The pictures do not do this home justice! What a wonderful home we had for our vacation. Nothing is overlooked by the owners, anything and everything you could need is here. A very clean and very comfortable home. Nicely situated between the bay and the ocean, perfect for watching the sunrise on the beach and the sunset over the bay. The golf cart made it extremely convenient for getting our things to the beach each day and for a fun ride around the neighborhood to look at the houses. The pool with the color changing light made our kids want to swim all night as well as all day. The volleyball court provided hours of competition and the tiki bar and hammock were a great way to relax in the evening or for a mid afternoon nap. There are decks on every floor and plenty of seating as well as hammock chairs. Our family has found our forever beach house, we will continue to return each year!

Recently we stayed at Island Girl for the second time. This may sound hard to believe, but our second visit was more enjoyable than our first. We love anything tropical and Island Girl lives up to her name. The heated pool with the Tiki bar was our favorite - or was it the hot tub...sauna? We love the fact that there is just so much to do without ever leaving the property - you can even stay connected with the free Wi - Fi. The owners are very gracious and accommodating. The only thing missing from our perfect getaway; was that Jimmy Buffett wasn't there to sing to us in person, we love getting wasted away again in "IslandGirlville", relaxing and having fun. If anyone finds that missing shaker of salt please be kind enough to let us know! If you want to experience an Island Paradise right here in the USA, Island Girl is for you and your family. Have fun and relax to the max!

I have been coming to Nags Head every year since I was 4 years old, and now I bring my own family. This house far exceeded our expectations....hands down, the best beach house we have ever rented! Everything was perfect... close to all of the attractions, a perfect walk to the beach, the pool area was THE place to be for our family! It has ALL the amenities of home but in an "island" atmosphere that leaves no detail overlooked! We have already reserved our week for next year!!

This house is beautiful and a very nice way to spend a relaxing vacation. You feel like you are in the Carribean without spending all the money to get there! The house is a bit of a walk from the ocean, but with a private pool and a hot tub i didn't seem to mind too much. I would definitely like to stay at this house again.
