  My friends and I rented both houses at Sonidos Del Mar for a full week. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. It was only steps from the beach. It had the right amout of privacy and seclusion, but we could also walk down the beach to the main shopping area or take a $3.00 cab ride if we didn't feel like walking. Prior to booking Sonidos, I searched for several months to find the right house and could not find anything remotely close in value. Both the owner and the caretaker were extremely accomodating. The house was clean and cozy. You will not regret booking at Sonidos.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

  We spent the weekend in this wonderful home and could not have been happier! It is very well situated a short walk from Jaco beach, a short drive from Jaco and in close proximity to so many other adventures (we spent Saturday at Punta Leona). The house is wonderfully decorated and comfortable, and the pool was so much fun for my 3 year old son! It's extremely private and just an absolute gem of a place! Can't wait to return!

  My husband, twin brother and sister-in-law stayed at your beautiful home(s) last week. The pictures do not do justice. The place (or compound, as we quickly called it) far exceeded our expectations. The design of the house is so unique and beautiful,and the decor is obviously created by an artist. The attention to detail made this lovely place even more special. The private pool was perfect for us and very well- maintained. Everything was clean, comfortable and inviting. We didn't want to leave, we want to return, and we would buy the place if we could afford it! Thank you for our best vacation yet!

  From the moment we walked through the gate we knew we had found the perfect vacation spot. We two couples each had our own beautiful house separated by a tropical courtyard and inviting pool. The open layouts of the houses, with vaulted ceilings and original artwork all around, all contributed to our feeling of being in a very special place. The fresh fish bought at the local market, that we cooked on the outdoor grill, and ate on the large, front porch, under the cooling fans, made our first stay in Costa Rica unforgettable. The friendly iguana that we fed by hand, the birds that delighted us in the morning, and the frogs that trilled as the sun went down, let us know that we were in a tropical paradise. The only downside to this vrbo was that we had a hard time leaving the premises to embark on other adventures. A great secluded getaway in the heart of Jaco.

  We stayed at this wonderful place for four days on our trip to Costa Rica. The home is beautiful from the pool to the wood work, we really felt relaxed and safe. It was perfect for my husband and I, however could be a great fit with a large group or a family. You are able to walk to the beach and to local shops and restaurants. It was a great place to call home for a few days!

  We had the chance to stay at Sonidos del Mar and we have rented from VRBO multiple times. This was our best experience yet. They have a care taker named Pierre who will stop by and help with whatever you need, i.e. the wireless was down so he brought the cable guy over to fix it, and the pool is great. We were traveling with two small kids and the space is ample for a family, if you need more there is a two bedroom guest house attached that you can rent as well. We saw iguanas, tucans, Costa Rican Squirrel looking animals, butterflies in the morning, the landscaping makes it feel like your own jungle paradise just steps from the beach. If you like to dirt bike, go to the Motoshop in town and talk to Carlos about a private dirt bike tour. Best ride I've ever been on. We stayed 7 nights and it was great. I would highly recommend this location.
