Our home sits on 30 acres at an elevation of 6,500 ft, on a beautiful knob situated between the aspen/spruce forest to the north and the juniper/sage rolling hills to the south. We sit higher than any surrounding homes, and have unobstructed views. Looking out the dining room or deck, you will be captivated with the Tetons. Wildlife abounds, and here in the remote North Tetons we are only 7 miles from the Jedediah Smith Wilderness area with incredible, uncrowded hikes up S. Badger Cr, and many more. I can offer advice for hikes and our house is full of maps and guide books. Fishing is world class on the South Fork & Henry's Fork of the Snake, all within 1 hour's drive. The spectacular Bechler Meadows & Bechler River in South West Yellowstone N.P. is only 1 hour away, sees few visitors and is one of my favorite places to be in August & September. The home is approximately 13 miles north of Driggs; 1 hour from Jackson Hole and Grand Teton NP; and 1 1/2 hours from West Yellowstone, MT.
Activities are pretty much endless. World-class fishing is less than 1 hour away, along the Teton, Falls River, South Fork or Henrys Fork of the Snake. We are only 7 miles away from the Jedediah Smith Wilderness Area, which features outstanding hiking. My favorite trail is up South Badger Creek in the Wilderness Area. This is a huge, glaciated drainage with incredible wild flowers in July and lots of wildlife, and receives very little use compared with Teton Canyon, yet has incredible views of the Tetons. I have all the maps and can help out with advice. Great mountain biking is just out our door, up the two track Rammell Mountain road. An incredible day hike along the Bechler River (near Cave Falls & Mesa Falls) in the south west corner of Yellowstone NP is only 1 hour away (best after mid-July). If you are in to avoiding crowds, this is the place! Other activities include: climbing, fly fishing, golfing, ballooning, white water rafting, horseback riding, or taking a glider ride.
