UNBELIEVABLE !! This is the nicest property we have stayed at since using VRBO. We have always been fortunate in the quality of the ski properties we have rented over the past 10 years thru VRBO. This particular unit at Northstar is beautiful, convenient to everything and the communication with the owners far exceeded our expectations. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home. We look forward to enjoying another visit at Northstar in the years to come and staying at the same location. I only wish this wonderful family had additional properties at other locations. Wishful Thinking !

Wonderful place to stay!! Like a previous reviewer, I hesitate to say how great this place is because I hope to have many return visits. Love the village. Love how easy it was to ski and get all our gear back. Very comfortable. We have three little kids and they loved it. The owners' manager is super responsive. Pictures are true to life. Looking forward to our return visit!

luxurious winter vacation at Northstar

Our family has vacationed in Tahoe for many years. However, this was a first time for us at Northstar, and a stay in the actual resort. We came with my parents, and our two young daughters (4 year old and 7 month old). Unfortunately, one of the things that cannot be predicted about going to Tahoe for a ski vacation is the weather - and we did not get lucky this time. But, our stay in this amazing Northstar condo really made up for it. The rental includes 2 ski passes for each day of stay - so, we did not feel like we wasted any $ for ski tickets and we only ended up skiing partial days (on the manmade snow that Northstar had - which was more than any other resort in Tahoe at the time). Our older daughter enjoyed going to ski school as well as the bunjee jumping area for kids (we also took her skiing a few times ourselves). My parents were able to stroll around with our 7 month old around the village and enjoy a beautiful village steps away from the condo with the convenience of always being able to come back for feedings, changes, etc. We really enjoyed the convenience of the ski locker downstairs, the garage parking and lift to our floor without needing to go outside, the fitness center and the outdoor sauna, as well as the gondola right outside our door. We also got to go see a movie one night and to the Baxter's bar/bistro in the village after kids went to bed (and our parents stayed with them). The condo is beautiful and modern with all the amenities (incl. humidifiers in each room, all kitchen appliances imaginable, etc.). This condo is perfect for up to two families stay with children (esp. small) when you need the conveniences such as this to be able to still enjoy the ski vacation. We really loved our stay and hope to be back (during a much better ski season :) ).

The picture do not do justice to the actual unit and its location!! It ideally located in the village and the condo is kept in excellent condition (simply like a home vs. rental). My family and I stayed over the Christmas / NYE holiday week and had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the ammenities the condo provided as well as Northstar. We will come back again!! I just looked for spring break and it's booked already : (.... you have to book fast --- this unit goes fast!!

"There's No Place Like Home"

...But this was HOME! Stayed here for my son's wedding in the Village! From the moment I walked in the door I could feel the anxiety and stress escape me. The pictures truly don't do it justice. I was hesitant to leave a comment for fear the next time I'd like to stay it would be all booked up. LOL. I would suggest to anyone looking to rent this beautiful condo to bring their own spices if you plan to do any cooking. Also, check to see if there is construction going on nearby. The Village itself is like an echo chamber and construction noise began early...6:15 a.m. Upon my arrival, there was no record of my reservation. After a few phone calls the problem was resolved. Because of my inconvenience the owner promised me a bottle of wine...how's that for customer service? NICE! The owner and management person are very easy to work with. I will definitely want to stay here again!

This is a great place to vacation! We were here with our two children and had a great time. The separate bedroom works great with the kids. Overall, the unit is meticulously furnished and it feels like home as soon as you arrive. The top floor/vaulted ceilings really add to the overall comfort of the home. We will be renting this again soon!

This was a wonderful spot to enjoy the summer in Tahoe. We enjoyed our week in this beautifully furnished unit. The unit was clean and well maintained. Its location in the midst of Northstar Village made for easy access to restaurants and other retail establishments. It was an easy drive to Truckee, Kings Beach, Tahoe City, Incline Village, etc. for dining, shopping, recreation. We can see why it would be the perfect location for the winter with its ideal location.

but didn't take the entire week off. Thanks to the owners for opening up their condo - it truly felt like we were staying in a friend's home. My mother stayed in the 2nd bedroom and my young children shared the queen sleeper sofa. It was great because this 2nd bedroom was big enough so that when the kids went to bed early she didn't feel like she was stuck in a small bedroom. The kids loved the Northstar ski school, even my 5 year old who is hesitant about trying new things. They also loved the board games in the condo, they stayed up past their bedtime playing monopoly. As everyone has said the location is super convenient, and if you don't want to drive your car at all during the whole stay, just buy groceries before you arrive and you'll be set; as the Northstar Village market doesn't have a lot of options. The ski passes of course made for a great value. Thank you !

We really enjoy staying in this wonderful condo for spring skiing. The rooms are spacious and the owners have thought of everything. We love being in the Village to take advantage of all the fun activities after a day on the slopes. We have two children who share the second bedroom and they are more than comfortable. All in all a great stay!

You won't be disappointed with this property... We felt like we were staying in a friend's home, not a rental unit. Very close to everything! We especially appreciated the ski lockers adjecent to the lobby, the very short walk to the gondola and even shorter walk to Starbucks. We look forward to coming back.

Extremely nice condo, very large and well-equipped. Great deal with ski passes! We completely enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this great value. We were at Northstar for a 5 day conference and we would have loved to stay longer but the condo was booked. So we stayed our other two days in a fancy hotel halfway up the mountain which came nowhere near the luxury of this unit--and the hotel was much pricier. You can't go wrong staying here! We went snowmobiling at Broward Pass, which was a hoot! Dining in Truckee is also very nice and affordable.

This is a beautiful condo with an excellent location in the center of Northstar village. It is steps from the gondola and close to ice skating, restaurants and shops. We had an absolutely fabulous stay. The condo is spacious with a large kitchen, huge bathrooms and TVs/DVDs in every room. Being able to use the ski passes each day added to the great value.

Perfect Ski Vacation

The unit was exactly what we expected. It was large clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully equiped including a convection oven which made whipping up a quick meal a snap after a great day of skiing. We were so close to the slopes, we could easily ski back for lunch and then get back on the slopes for the afternoon. The free ski passes that came with the unit along with the 1/2 price on the kids lift tickets made for a very inexpensive ski vacation. Northstar had everything we needed and Truckee was so close for even more dining options. Squaw Valley was also a quick day trip for more challenging terrain. We would definitely return to Lake Tahoe and would definitely use this unit as our home base.

We had a great ski vacation in this lovely condo . Great location for using the village rental shops ,gondola, and hot tubs. The kitchen was great for actually cooking , had everything we needed. Everything was in great condition. They were easy to work with and everything was as described. Nice and clean ! North Tahoe Express Airport Shuttle from RNO picks up/drops off in Village , if you don't want to rent a car,a plus for this condo's location.

We spent a long weekend at this lovely condo in August. It was so comfortable and worked beautifully for our family. My in-laws were in one room and my husband, son and I slept in the other. The beds were very comfortable, the furniture is beautiful, the kitchen is well stocked and we lacked for nothing. The location was ideal for our needs and we loved everything about the place. We had other friends that stayed in similar units that they rented directly through the hotel and they paid quite a bit more per night, thus this place is also a great value! We will definitely be returning. Hopefully soon!

20th Anniversary Trip - June 25 - 27, 2010

We stayed at your wonderful condo with another couple as we both celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversaries. Needless to say the location is perfect - inside the "village" and has a variety of great entertainment at night, some wonderful shops and fair eating establishments. The best part of the condo is we could cook our own meals which may not mean a lot to some but we had started the week in Napa. By the time we arrived to your wonderful FULL kitchen we were excited to experiment with our cooking and our newfound love for wine and all things that accompany wine. The condo is the perfect size for two couples and the views were the best. We would definitely stay again. Only negative - we didn't know where to put the trash when we left. Luckily the fabulous on site realty group helped us out. Thanks for listing your condo and we'll definitely partake again. Tahoe is wonderful - bike riding was a grand adventure.

My family (2 adults, 2 kids) plus the in-laws stayed in this wonderful condo for 3 nights at the end of March. The condo is so convienient to the village & the gondola and is wonderfully furnished - we can't say enough about the whirlpool tub in the masther, the heated floors in the bathroom (ahhhh!), the convenient galley kitchen in the adjoining studio, and the extra half bath. The 2 ski passes were a great bonus, too! We weren't sure we could do this vacation with our 8 month old son, but did not want to deprive our 6 year old of her annual ski trip - the convenience of this condo made it a breeze for us to take turns babysitting with our in-laws! We will definitely be booking a stay at this condo, again!

We had a wonderful stay at Northstar in this unit the first weekend of March, 2010. We had such a great time we feel we can't tell too many friends or the condo will be impossible to rent! The ski-in/ski-out was perfect for our family and we loved having so much space to spread out and relax. Our oldest daughter, Erin who is 7, has celiac disease (wheat/gluten allergy) so we have to have a kitchen to cook meals when on vacation. The gourment kitchen had every amenity we could possibly need and the girls loved having a refrigerator in their room for morning yogurt. Our favorite amenities included the heated master bathroom floor, huge fireplace, complimentary adult ski passes and first floor ski locker. This unit is absolutely beautiful - we can't wait for our next visit!

This is a beautiful top floor condo next to the Gondola in the new village. The rooms are very spacious and comes with everything you may possible need. Having access to ski passes with 'Vertical Plus' makes a big difference when deciding on a place to stay. We had a wonderful time and are hoping to come back again soon. Make sure to check out the fitness center with outside pool and hot tub.

The condo was perfectly located in the heart of the Village - truly ski in/ski out access and it's beautifully furnished.
