If you want peace and quiet on a spectacular beach in Florida, our luxurious villa on world-famous Amelia Island Plantation just might be exactly what you've been looking for.
For the past 5 years, this has been our special home-away-from-home, and we think you'll find it to be everything you could hope for in comfort and liveability.
If you're looking for "weekly vacation central", with lots of noise and skateboards and hustle, this is not it. Our building has seven floors, with only 2 units per floor, and most of the time there aren't even a handful of owners or guests in residence. It's peaceful, quiet and more "home-y" than you'd expect from any beachfront condo. We offer only long-term rentals (minimum 1 month stay) to mature couples and families.
We live only a few hours away and use the condo ourselves often. Occasionally, when we're using the unit, we're the only ones there! Our windows stretch all the way across the front of our 4th floor unit, and you almost feel as if you could reach out and touch the ocean. In addition to the unobstructed view of the ocean and miles of beach stretching north and south, we also overlook one of the beautiful golf holes on the Plantation's Ocean Course. Our lovely pool is shared only by a small group of property owners and is seldom even used, and never crowded.
Our villa is a spacious 2,350 sq.ft. of living space, and it probably includes everything that you have in your home, as you can see from the list of amenities. We've made it into a very comfortable second home for us, and we think you'll find that it will more than fit your needs as well.
Our rates are 35-40% less than what the management companies and the Amelia Island Plantation rental folks charge for units that aren't as nice as ours. Their rate: $8,000/month. Our rate: $5,000 for a single winter month and a bit less if you stay longer. As with everything else in life, you can probably find a lower rate on another unit; but you won't find anything nicer or that is a better value.
You can search the internet or read the other VRBO ads for a complete description of Amelia Island and what there is to do here. It's simply a great place to vacation. Amelia Island and the town of Fernandina Beach are treasures. Once you've vacationed here, you'll understand why folks continue to come back year after year.
