The well equipped kitchen is open to the dining and living areas. With sweeping views from the living space, the windows offer views of glorious sun rises and the incoming tides in the Pool.
The bathroom is classically decorated and furnished with linens.
The well appointed bedrooms will welcome you at the end of a long day of beachcombing or sightseeing. Each of the three bedrooms has ample closet space, reading areas and chests of drawers. The master bedroom features his and her closet spaces and a television.
The laundry facilities are located in the basement garage which has storage for beach toys and bikes. An enclosed hot and cold outdoor shower is the perfect choice for showering off after a day at the beach.
The area where the house is located is an oasis in Maine. This coastal community is far enough off the beaten path that you immediately feel “away from it all” when you turn down the road to get to the house and the village.
While staying at the property, whether it is for a weekend or a couple of weeks, you will find a lot to do within a mile of the house. A three minute walk from the house is a sandy beach that stretches for miles in either direction.
A short drive, walk or bike ride away (about a mile) is a small village that features a post office, a wonderful gift shop, and a general store for stocking up on all of your provisions and lobster. As they say, this is the way life should be.
The property is unique in that it is situated on a small point of land. From the house, you can lull yourself to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing on the beach nearby. You may also hear the evening sounds of owls. Because of its location on the point, you feel like you are at the beach but also at a woodsy retreat. This environment makes it very much a multi-seasonal home.
The front yard of this home provides ample space for a game of bocce, croquet or badminton. Nearby is a put-in for kayaks and canoes when the tide is right for the pool or about a mile away you can rent kayaks and venture out into the outer harbor. For those who want to relax, the porch is outfitted with comfortable deck chairs and an awning to block the midday sun.
