Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2005

We are family owned and operated. From the left meet Kate, Jarek (sister and brother) and our mom Dana.

We have lived in Washington for over ten years and love this cosmopolitan city where people get up every morning and get to work on changing the world. The most powerful people in DC can alter the course of history and try to make the world a better place. It's a city where philosophical debate and advocacy of issues beyond one's own family or pocketbook rule the day; a city where what's going on in one's head is far more important than what one is wearing; a city where people come from all over the world to experience democracy and learn the principles of our free society.

We get visitors from all over the country and the world. Some come for one time visit with their family, others keep coming back number of times a year as we host many repeat guests related to the federal government, foreign embassies and the US State Department. We take great pride in having our unit very clean (our mom cleans it, so you know it’s spotless), conveniently located within walking distance to all shopping, restaurants and Metro.

We want you to enjoy your visit whether it is once in a lifetime trip with your family or monthly visit for work. We are looking forward to hosting you in DC and if there is something we can help with, let us know.

Why the Owner Chose Washington

We bought this property, one block to Metro, restaurants, grocery stores and cafes because we love the convenience of this unit and the neighborhood. You will find this unit very convenient for your stay and will enjoy its location, close to everything.

    • Jarek & Paula, My stay at your town house was wonderful. The proximity of the grocery store and Metro were perfect. Since we were running the Marine Corps Marathon, we did not do much site-seeing; but spend most of our time in the condo resting and enjoying our own cooking. The accommodations were perfect and the Metro provided easy access to our events. Thanks!

    • Comment Text: Our group of 8 stayed at this condo for 7 days while enjoying a gals trip to DC. We couln't have found a better area:close to Metro yellow and green;grocery store around the corner;drugstores and restraurants within a walk and close to all the sights of the Capitol area. Some of us walked to the downtown area(about 2 miles using 14th ST). The brownstone easily accomodated 8 women;great furnishings including intranet access. would stay there again in a heartbeat. hosts were a phone call away.

    • We really enjoyed this condo. When one books something over the Internet, even with photos, one doesn't know exactly what will be found. The lure to be a city-dweller and live like a local for the week convinced us to give it a try. We were very nicely surprised to find this luxurious unit with plenty space and nicely furnished. We had such a wonderful mixture of dining in and dining out. Our son lives about five minutes away and we were very happy to stay so close to him. Whether we were going to the metro - 5 minutes away to travel to downtown or walking down the hill to meet him, we were never far away from the action! We have friends who live out in the suburbs and instead of us going to see them; they enjoyed metroing in, coming to our place and then us showing them around the area. They commented that, though they've lived in the DC area for 25 years, they never had this experience. We were able to introduce them to the city! All the special touches you put around the place made it so convenient to come and set up for a while. We have enjoyed staying here and would recommend this place. William and Katie

    • We had an absolute wonderful time in DC. Loved the condo, it was just perfect for the eight of us. Very modern, brand new, convenient and spacious. It was great being close to all forms of transportation, and within walking distance to other places as well. We had a blast at the Red Rock Pizza. A cabbie told us to go to the Commonwealth Pub for dinner so we did that for our daughter's birthday. Great food. We were able to tour the White House and Capitol. That was great. Loved the Capitol. Getting to and back from the Mall was very easy with the Metro so close and we timed the ride to the Smithsonian for your next guests. It took exactly seven minutes from boarding the train and getting off at L'Enfant Plaza. Thank you for hosting us in DC. You have a gorgeous home and we enjoyed it very much. Eva

    • Thank you Jarek and Kate. We enjoyed your accommodations! We have many memories of Washington DC and are leaving your apartment exhausted and tired but only because we loved the city and walked every day/night. We loved coming home to our apartment and enjoying all the space it provides. It is also very convenient with grocery store around the corner and all the restaurants (we loved the Pizza place Red Rocks the most and ate there three times during our week here, so thank you for the recommendations). Your place is very nicely decorated and we really enjoyed staying there. David and Jenny
