First of all, Debi and Marty are gracious hosts and did I say their place is beautiful? We spent a week forgetting our corporate lives back in Dallas while we watched the aspens changing from yellow to gold on the deck's reclining chairs overlooking Mount Bross and Mount Lincoln. The views were amazing and my wife and I couldn't help expressing ourselves with sighs of relaxation and bliss rather than actual conversation. We just kept sighing at the beautiful views. The television became a thing of the past, our email was set to "OFF" and cell phones were ignored because we were so happy. If you get the chance to experience this wonderful place take the time to walk the streets of Breckenridge for a day and eat on the upper deck of the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company on Main street. The views of the ski slope are amazing. Walk the streets and come back home to a warm buck stove fire with the firewood Debi and Marty provide. Don't forget to stop by the AL-MART in downtown Alma to get some of the Scanga meat if you want a nice steak or you can catch a trout in the gold medal river below the property. Thanks again to our wonderful hosts and we are looking forward to coming back soon. Scott and Jennifer / Dallas, TX

There's no way photographs of the views from this house can do it justice. I mean the mountains are right THERE! My husband and I couldn't tear ourselves away from the house for the first four days of our vacation. The leaves literally changed before our eyes. The house itself is also wonderful. The spacious, well equipped kitchen was perfect for nightly, family dinner gatherings. My husband (the chef) appreciated having all the gadgets he uses at home. I loved going out on the deck at night and looking at the stars. One night, the moonlight on the mountains was so bright and breath-taking I couldn't sleep. The beds and linens were impeccable, the bathrooms (and whole house) spacious and clean. What more can you ask for? We'll be back!

This was our second time staying at Debi and Marty's beautiful cabin--and we are still thoroughly impressed! This cabin has endless amenties, glorious sheets, and a warm fire. But the views are the heart of this incredible home! The balcony deck offers a pristine view of all of Placer Valley. If your looking for a prime location (close to everything, yet still secluded), in a quiet environment surrounded by beauty than this is where you need to stay! Debi and Marty are gracious hosts for anything you might need and excellent in booking your trip. Simply said...we LOVE this cabin!

The home was everything advertised and more!!! We were thrilled with the view from the living room and all of the extras in the home. The owners were wonderful with booking and answering all of our questions. The location was an excellent base for our motorcycle day trips in the area! We had a terrific vacation and enjoyed the cool mountain temperatures in July!!!!

We had the opportunity to stay at this cabin and boy did we find a Gem! Had all the ammenties we needed and cooking in the kitchen was awesome! Plenty of room and very comfortable. Warning! Quiet of nature is all around you and the views for the peaks are wonderful! Alma and Fairplay are very close by and Buena Vista is only around 35 minutes. We would love to stay again in the future!
Owner response:Wow! What a sweet review! Thank you. We appreciate you taking your time to give your opinion. Hope you can come back soon/ next year!!?? Debi and Marty

We stayed for 4 nights at this beautiful cabin in Alma, Colorado with our family. The cabin is well laid out with the master bedroom away from the 2 guest rooms. This was helpful for Grandma & Grandpa. Not only did we get our privacy but we woke up to an incredible view of the mountains everyday. The kitchen is large and well equiped allowing more than one chef in the kitchen at one time. We would plug in our IPods into the home's sound system and have our own "So You Think You Can Dance" sessions in the large living room every night. The home was perfect for our familys vacation. Not far from Breckenridge if you want tourist activities, beautiful waterfalls/old mine up the road and a geocache only .3 miles away. Perfect Family Fun Home!
Owner response:Thank you Kitty. So glad it worked out for you. How great to be a hop, skip and a jump from Marce and gang. Sounds like you had so much fun.

We had a wonderful time renting your home in Alma, Co. The home is beautiful and very comfortably decorated. Master bed so comfortable and loved the huge shower and jacuzzi tub! The kitchen was wonderfully supplied. Everything we could think of was provided. Beautiful view of the valley and surrounded by 3 14,000 mountains. We had so much fun. It snowed on our 4th day by 3" of snow. Wow. Winter Wonderland. You Are 20 minutes from Breckingridge, which we loved. You can be secluded at the house and then easily go to where their is a lot of activity. Highly recommend the river raft trip of the Blue River by Performance Tours. It's is beautiful. You can reach great hiking within minutes of the house. We did that for 3 days. Beautiful waterfalls on our hikes. We would easily recommend renting your house to any of our friends and would love to be able to come back again in the near future. Thank you for a great and memorable trip!!
Owner response:Thanks so much, Gina and gang!! It's a delight to share our home with courteous and thoughtful guests like you..of course, we're lucky...all of them are so far!! Come back again!

We had a great time and would highly recommend this place. The property is close enough to Breckenridge (less than 30 min) for skiing, but in beautiful Placer Valley with gorgeous views of the mountains. It was well stocked and the beds and space very comfortable. The wood stove was wonderful and worked great. We have two children and the property was plenty big to accommodate us - more space than we needed. Owners were very responsive throughout the process.

We really enjoyed our experience with this vacation rental. The owners were very responsive to questions prior to and after booking. The house is clean and well stocked. Bedrooms and living area are larger than they appear in the pictures. The double shower and jetted tub are very, very nice!! There should be pictures of those! We also enjoyed hanging out on the front deck.

Thank you so much for sharing your home. The view was awesome. From hour to hour we saw a different view of the mountains. We took so many pictures. What an experience. Your house was comfortable and provided everything we needed. We cooked in almost everynight in your wonderful kitchen. We came to go fly fishing and we did every day. Thanks for the brochures. The house was perfectly located to be less than an hour from all the hot fishing spots. When we didn't get enough fishing during the early part of the day we just finished out the afternoon in front of the house. We especially enjoyed the walk to Montgomery Reservoir - we even saw a fox and deer that morning. We would hightly recommend your house.

We had a great stay here with my wife and two little kids. The place was very clean and well stocked with everything that we needed. The views were spectacular and the property was very private. The house is far enough from the Breckenridge crowds but close enough that you can get there in less than a 30min drive.

We had a wonderful time last week in your beautiful home in Alma! Thanks for making it possible! Everything was superb and the drive back and forth to Breck was absolutely gorgeous! There was snow when we arrived and LOTS of snow when we left. I appreciate your recommendation to rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle... we needed it to get over the pass each day.... there were lots of vehicles off the road and in the ditches! Your home is lovely and made for a perfect retreat from the slopes for our family! My kids (all 3 of them + one girlfriend) enjoyed lounging around on the comfortable couch and chairs in the evening! The best part, considering all the places we have stayed in the past, was the large WARM garage with opener! It was so nice to not have to scrape snow and ice off of the vehicle in the morning before departing for the slopes! Nice touch and very much appreciated! Everything worked fine. My wife really enjoyed the large, fully equipped kitchen! Actually, my wife was VERY pleased with the accomodations and that speaks volumes to how nice everything was because she's VERY "picky" when it comes to travel accomodations! The large, open floor plan in the family room/kitchen made the views of the adjacent snow-covered mountains, spectacular! The seclusion of your home offered us the perfect setting for a true "family vacation!" Our college-aged kids actually enjoyed spending their "down" time together with mom and dad and their siblings in what they deemed a "cool place to stay!" We hope to return, again, next year and would like to stay in your lovely home, again! It was very comfortable and relaxing for all of us (even though with day and night skiing, we weren't there very often!). Merry Christmas and happy New Year!

Wow! There is no where else to stay in Placer Valley than here! Thank you for making us feel at home so far away from our own. Your attention to detail was absolutely pristine, thank you for all the info guides and help in planning our trip. The view from your home is spectacular-it is the best! We loved having coffee on the deck and watching the clouds roll over the mtns-simply unforgettable! We are extremely honored to be your first guests-what a privilege! Good luck in all your travels. Sincerely, Sarah Black
