La Isla is a historic property once owned by Mrs. Wirlitzer in 1940. The current owner has been a full-time resident of thirty years. During this period the massive hand-hewn beam and mortar log home was conceived, designed and built on the property as la Isla's gate house. Its construction had been exacting and true to the techniques and superb crafting of 200 years ago, topped off with the classic tin roof! The architecture is "Spanish Territorial". Inside and out, the home is finely appointed with unique furnishings and folk art collected over many years. La Isla is most assuredly lovingly maintained.
