The log cabin we stayed was comfortable for 2 parents, 2 kids and 2 grand parents. Despite the -4F nightime temperature outside, it was very worm and cosy inside. The cabin had a unique character, all the furniture and decorations were one of kind handmade antiques. Dont let the old look fool you, everything was prefectly funtional and clean. The location was great too, it is very close to the restaurants, grocery shopping and the plaza. Ski Valley is only half an hour drive away. In addition, Linda was an excellent host and deligthful person to talk to. The two dogs she has are very friendly and our kids loved to play with them. The property has a lot of outdoor space to run around as well. I recommend this cabin for ski or summer vacation. Thanks again Linda for everything.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a delightful, comfortable cabin to spend a weekend in Taos! Quaint, clean, and cozy it is only a few minutes from downtown. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The tall cotton woods and rustic flavor makes you feel like you are alone in the country. The kitchenette makes it easy to fix a snack and the king size bed was oh so comfortable. A perfect get away for a small family or couple wishing to get away from it all, yet take in the historic city and sights of northern New Mexico.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at La Isla was exactly what we were hoping for. The cabin was filled with comfort, artistic touches, and hospitality. Linda made sure that we had everything we needed and even brought us some home-grown lettuce to enjoy with our meals. We enjoyed walks to town, the Taos Solar Music Festival, day fishing trips, and more. After long days of exploring our favorite town, we would retire to our cabin to enjoy relaxation and good times with friends. Thanks!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Cabin was not clean- toilet, kitchen, glassware had to wash and clean w/ hydrogen proxide. No screens on the windows except 2, there must be 15 windows. Bee's spiders and bugs in the house. 20 foot pole w/ human scull, poor taste and quite disturbing, walk way to patio, discusting, messy and trashy. invasion of privacy, no TV, her son was screaming cuss word the am of the 31st, basically misrepresented & hugly dissapointed.Owner response: The property is presented clean: floors, surfaces and fixtures spotless upon arrival. There are cleaning supplies in the cabin for guest who feel they must tend to anything in particular. The hydrogen peroxide is not generally one, but stocked in the bathroom for a guest's 1st aid needs. We are really sorry all of this was going on and that they had a rotten experience. The tenant had some requests, and wanted everything done, but wanted their privacy. We definitely had a difficult task. When there's something to be fixed, we make the fix happen asap. We would hope that they will come back another time, and perhaps a little more relaxed and willing to discuss. La Isla Management

My wife and I, along with our two fur-babies enjoyed the Christmas holiday at La Isla. Linda was a very gracious hostess and even invited us over to her place for holiday cheer. The property is very artsy with all sorts of nice touches that let you know that you are not in Kansas anymore! Rustic, but comfortable. Close to everything Taos has to offer. We particularly enjoyed snowmobiling in Red River! Only reason I don't list as excellent is that I am a very large man and the facilities were a bit challenging for me to use. Very pretty area.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
