We stayed here 5 nights and loved every second! The condo was just as it appeared on the website. I thought the pictures of the view were going to be to good to be true, but they weren't! It really does look like that out the window! The condo was remarkably clean. The complex was nice and quiet. The owners were very attentive, even though they were out of town when I inquired, they answered every e-mail. This was the first time I have used VRBO, and it really was a stress-free way to vacation. It was in a great location-- we loved Hanalei! The Kalypso happy hour was great! I would recommend this Sealodge condo to everyone, and I have been, and we would definitely stay here again. Hopefully sooner rather than later--- I miss Kauai! Thank you, Tim and Cathy!

Our five member family had a terrific time at Sealodge from Dec 29-Jan 5, 2012. We had some beach weather, big waves, some rain, a trip to Waimea Canyon, a dive trip, good eats Hanalei and a Happy New Year. The condo was comfortable with scenic views of the ocean all week. We recommend a stay Sealodge f5 anytime. We will be back.

We rented this condo over the 2011/12 Holiday, and it was just what we wanted. Everything posted about the condo on the site, was accurate. No surprises. Lovely complex set back at the end of a culdesac with a rustic look, that we love. We watched whales from the living room and bedrooms. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. There was a closet full of games, and beach gear, etc. Just wonderful. Our favorite beach was Anini on the northshore, we loved Hannelei Bay. Our favorite beach on the southside was Poipu and had lunch across the street at Brenecki's a couple times, marvelous. I miss it so much! Thank you Tim and Cathy! I wrote in the journal on the coffee table too. Much aloha from wintry Indiana !

Location was excellent! We were disappointed to find no air conditioning. Nights were ok but daytime was hot. When we arrived, the unit was stifling and took quite a while to cool down. Also, the towels need to be replaced. They were threadbare.
Owner response:The owners have just returned from a wonderful 10 day stay. While we were there we noticed the ceiling fan was not operating optimally. We bought a beautiful new fan and Home Depot and had it installed. It cools the condo very well now. The towels are not threadbare, but they are thin. We talked to our housekeeper about it (he provides the towels). He has lived on the island for over 30 years, and it is his opinion that thick towels do not work in Kauai, they never dry. He uses the same towels he provides us at home.

My husband and planned a relatively last minute vacation get-a-way to Kauai and simply had the best luck in finding this Sealodge condo owned by Tim & Cathy. Cathy was extremely helpful and made us feel very much at ease in renting their condo, providing clear directions and helpful hints for our stay in Kauai. The condo was very clean and well appointed, measuring up to the description via VRBO and other good reviews. My husband and I made sure to take advantage of the lanai and enjoy the view of the sea. Needless to say we felt very much at home during our stay. It was a perfect place for a quiet, romantic get-a-way but I could see being ideal for a small family as well. We hope to return in the future.

Although it would be nicer if there was more towels available, excellent condo for Kauai stay. Especially sea breeze and sound of wave from the bedroom were so romantic. This is the condo where we would like to come back again.
Owner response:Our housekeeper always leaves and extra set of towels per person in the bedroom closet, perhaps the rentor missed them. If more are necessary, we provide a sheet with our housekeeper's phone number, I am sure he would bring more.

We were here in early July and we absolutely loved this place. The view of the blue/turquoise ocean from the Lanai is just breathtaking. Walk a few steps on the lawn and you will get an even better view of the ocean, Anini beach and the huge coral reef at Anini beach. We loved waking up to the sunrise over Anini beach. The unit is very clean and very convenient. It is close by to the princeville shopping center which is a big advantage. Tim, Cathy, Thanks for maintaining this place is such good shape. If we visit Kauai again, we'll stay at this place.

It wasn't obvious to me from the photos that this unit was so open and airy, so it was a pleasant surprise. One side opens (lanai and sliding doors, plus bedroom and living room windows) to the ocean, with views from all rooms. The front door is directly across from the lanai, and has a screen door so you can keep it open if you want, providing natural air conditioning and great views of the mountains and waterfalls too. We also enjoyed the privacy and quiet of having an upstairs, corner unit surrounded by garden areas. I normally don't cook much when traveling because I enjoy exploring the restaurants and dining out, but this kitchen was very well equipped for even family meals, plenty of all sizes of pans and even serving dishes. As it turned out, we enjoyed being in our condo and did cook several dinners. Oh, and we did appreciate that our hosts provided nice wine glasses! Both bedrooms were nice and had ocean views; an especially nice feature was that one bedroom and bath is up a short flight of stairs, which made it feel like we each had our own private suite. All in all, we loved our stay and recommend it highly. A few extras provided - beach equipment and even a cooler! If you go, be sure to check out what's there before you buy anything for beach or picnic use.

We just got back from our trip. The condo was terrific! We really enjoyed both Princeville and Hanalei. Your tips on shopping and dining were very helpful - thanks again. Kauai was probably the best part of our trip! Thanks again! Dee

The condo at Sealodge on Kauai’s north shore was actually a home exchange. Tim and Cathy went to Collioure in May 2007 and we were finally getting around to our half of the deal. Their condo, which they rent when not using it themselves, is outstanding: spacious living area, nice small deck, and spectacular views, of the crashing ocean on one side and the rising, often cloud shrouded mountains on the other.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Tim and Cathy's unit F5 at Sealodge in Kauai from July 11-19, 2007. This location in Princeville, on the north side of the island, is ideal. It is very quiet, and the views are incredible, yet it is close to shopping and all the beautiful beaches. The 2br/2ba condo is very clean and light, and the new furnishings have a lovely Hawaiian feel. Our two kids loved their own bedroom and full bathroom upstairs. My wife and I enjoyed listening to the sound of the surf at night, and we had fun sitting in the window seat (punai) playing Scrabble. We had breakfast and dinner every day on the covered lanai which has a fabulous ocean view, and, although small, was big enough for a table and chairs for four people. Cathy was very responsive to us, and very nice to deal with. We had a hi-speed wi-fi connection and Cathy answered our emails quickly when we had a question. (We used our phone card for long-distance calls.) Bring your own beach towels, stop at Costco for food, and stay for as long as possible! We have been to 4 of the Hawaiian Islands, and Sealodge on Kauai is a gem and a great value. We are looking forward to going back next year.

We stayed at the Morris’ two-bedroom condo late March and most of April 2006, (the year of the 40 day flood). It is a wonderful spot….on a cliff overlooking the ocean. You can see the ocean from both bedrooms, the lanai and the window seat in the living room. The sound of the surf at night is phenomenal! The condo is very well furnished and provisioned…there are beach chairs, snorkel equipment and lots of dishes and pots and pans. You get clean sheets and towels at the end of each week. The Morris’ send you an information sheet that is most informative. All of their recommendations were right on. Their unit is in building F that I thought was the best. The swimming pool is right next-door, the laundry is just downstairs, the barbeque area is across the way and the dumpster is close but not next-door. On top of everything else, Cathy and Tim were flexible and always answered our questions via e-mail. You simply can’t go wrong with this rental. We would go back in an instant. Info for what it is worth……..-A rental car is a must -Bring at least one beach towel per person -Bring rolls of quarters for the laundry….trust me, you will need them -There are beaches that don’t have a steep trail….pick up “The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook” by Andrew Doughty and Harriett Friedman. It is really good-Get yourself down (but not when it has been seriously raining) to the Sea Lodge beach. It is secluded, shady and gorgeous!-The snorkeling is great at most of the beaches -Aloha….Leslie & John Herzog….Colorado Springs, CO

Tim/Cathy, F5 at Sealodge was like coming home every evening. We were very pleased to find such comfortable beds and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking and eating in. The view was terrific. We watched 2 whales dance for us the last day we were there while sitting on the lanai having coffee. Of course our favorite place was the window seat. My mom and I spent most of our time at the condo there looking out and watching the birds. I can hardly wait for my return trip!

My daughters, a friend and I had a wonderful time in Kauai. F5 at Sea Lodge surpassed our expectations. It was bright, cheery and very clean! We made breakfast daily plus two dinners. What a view! There was always a breeze which kept the condo cool and comfortable. I would return in a heartbeat! Thanks to Tim and Csthy for keeping their rental in such good condition.
