Lakeside Cottage is more than a rental, it will become your home during your visit. The beds are so comfortable you may never want to get up, but the daylight draws your to the windows to watch the sun sparkling on the water. At the end of the day, enjoy rocking on the deck watching the moon rise from behind the mountains and spread its light across the cove.

An aromatherapy steam shower for two and a jetted tub for two are perfect for romantic getaways when there are just two of you. Or, the kids love the shower and tub so don't keep it just for the grown-ups.

Cooks are not shut off from the fun - the kitchen is part of the Great Room separated by a counter.

Something for everyone in the family to do: hike sections of the Appalachian Trail, bike the Virginia Creeper Trail, shop for antiques and unique crafts; attend live theater; visit a living history musseum or learn about "the town that wouldn't drown", at the Butler Museum.

Pristine Watauga Lake is nearby for fishing, boating, and swimming. The Blue Ridge Parkway calls those who enjoy scenic drives, but let us tell you about some others without so much traffic! Outdoor dramas, Indian pow wows, arts and crafts festivals, as well as bluegrass and country music and dancing - in every season a reason to visit and not enough time to do it all!
