“Alma at the Sea” is an owner-managed rental home located in the heart of the Emerald Coast on 30-A and is the perfect home for your next unforgettable beach experience! Just steps away from the breathtaking white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters of the Gulf, this home is in the perfect location – the CLOSEST HOUSE TO THE BEACH in Old Florida Village. Adding privacy, the south side of the house opens up to beautiful magnolia trees and a view of the Gulf.
Old Florida Village is the perfect community for family vacations, with two relaxing community pools (one mere steps away), adorable cottage-style homes, plenty of room for children to play and chase the ice cream truck, and paved driveways. The beach accesses across the street and nearby at Gulf Place both include bathrooms, showers, a covered picnic area and parking.
Here, you are a short walk or bike ride away from Gulf Place (where you will find outdoor concerts, local art displays and shops and eateries) and close to other beach communities such as Blue Mountain, Dune Allen, Grayton, Water Color and Seaside where fine dining, shopping and a salon/spa can be found. At the entrance to the village are eighteen miles of bike paths and the Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club is just down the street. Looking for a day in town? You will be just a few miles from shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, water parks, miniature golf, etc. in Destin (including the largest designer outlet mall in the country in Sandestin). In the opposite direction, Panama City is a short half-hour drive away. The Fort Walton Beach (VPS) and Northwest Florida (ECP) airports are both a short drive away.
The owner has personally furnished and decorated this beautiful non-smoking home, giving it a chic beachy feel and a focus on luxurious comfort to maximize your vacation experience. It features three spacious bedrooms with three full baths, and very comfortably sleeps nine in TWO KING BEDS (one upstairs, one downstairs) and a bunk room with one twin bunk and one twin over a full bunk. Each bedroom has its own private porch, featuring amazing sea breezes straight from the beach. After a day at the beach or pool, an outdoor shower allows for a quick clean up. During downtime, you can also enjoy the large open kitchen with a breakfast bar and stools and an adjacent dining area, or settle on the large comfy couch to watch HDTV with a Blueray DVD player, plus HBO and Showtime! WIRELESS INTERNET and unlimited local and long-distance calls are also provided.
Rental Procedures/Cancellations: A deposit of 50% of the total rental price (incl. taxes) is required in order to confirm your reservation. The full rental amount plus cleaning fee and $300 refundable security deposit are due 30 days prior to your arrival. Cancellations must be made 60 days prior to your arrival for a refund of the deposit, less an administration fee of 10% of the total rental rate. No adjustments or refunds will be made for late arrivals or early departures. The refundable security deposit is refunded to your credit card within ten days after your stay if there is no damage to the property, furnishings or possessions in the property.
SEVERE WEATHER POLICY: In the event that the County Emergency Management Offices of North West Florida or the National Weather Service issues a mandatory evacuation notice, refunds of the rental fee will be pro-rated from the time of your departure. If no evacuation notice is issued by either agency, requests to shorten or cancel your reservation due to potential threatening weather must be made in advance and will be considered only on a case-by-case basis, with no guarantee of any refund or reimbursement.

10 Happy Days in Santa Rosa

My husband and I rented this house for 10 days to get away from the cold weather in North Georgia. The house was a perfect size for us. I was very impressed with the laundry facilities (new LG equipment). My husband loved the big flat screen TV and great cable/HBO/etc. service....no golf matches or football games missed! The house is very comfortable, well maintained and in a good location. Very near good restaurants, seafood markets and a nice Publix (I'm a cook, so that made me happy), golf courses, and outlet shopping. We really enjoyed the Santa Rosa area. It's close to Destin but not nearly as crowded or busy. This would be our choice when we come back to this area again. The owner was very responsive for any problems or questions we had and easy to work with in setting up the rental. I would recommend this place to any couple (or maybe 2 couples) looking for a nice getaway.

Alma by the Sea is amazing! The house is in a great location and the community it is situated in has two pools for you to enjoy! Swanky decor really makes you think you're in Miami. Totally booking here again. :)

My daughter and I stayed at "Alma at the Sea" over the weekend and had a wonderful stay. The house is very nice and well stocked. It is in a location that is convenient to the beach, shopping, and restaurants while being very quiet and laid back. Good place for any age as there is plenty to do.

This house was bright, had lots of room and we could walk to the beach from it. What more could you ask for?! We spent all day on the beach and then took advantage of everything the house had to offer. We made great meals, drank wine and coffee on the decks, the kids played on the internet and watched the tv in their room. (I watched some sports on the large high-def TV in the living room, but not TOO MUCH.) The beds were comfortable and the neighbors were quiet and friendly. The beaches were so beautiful that we didn't even use the pools right there, but others did and seemed to enjoy...my kids want waves though. Santa Rosa Beach is a very quiet community with no major stores/hotels to take away from your peace, but Destin and all it's shopping Haven were only 10-15 minutes away by car. We already want to plan another trip here. Oh...the owner had GREAT communication with us from start to finish and we thank her greatly for that as well.
