Randy, you and your wife have a beautiful vacation home. My friends and I needed to get away from the busyness of life and just slow down, and this was the perfect retreat. I only wish we had been able to stay longer, but unfortunately life wouldn't allow it this time. Definitely will have to stay longer next time, especially with all of the hiking and trails close by. We enjoyed the hammock, the swing by the creek, the back porch with the creek right there, and the very well set up kitchen. You were right, the beds are comfortable. Thanks for the call checking on us too. Also I have already recommended your place to family and friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Jayme, Thanks for the unsolicited comments. I am glad that you and your friends had a great time. I appreciate the way you treated the cabin while you were there. It is a very nice place and it guest like yourself that help maintain the quality of the cabin. I hope you and your friends find time in the future to return.

The cabin is furnished tastefully and has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. We hope to return during warm weather so we can all play in the creek! We staying here with another couple to attend a nearby wedding. It was so peaceful and a great retreat to go to when a break was so needed! The cabin is very clean and neat. The king bed WAS the best ever as was the guest room bed. The kitchen was efficient and the back porch next to the creek was by far our favorite place to be.... from grilling steaks, making smores, or just having morning coffee and taking pictures - it was all wonderful! Thank you so much for such a wonderful weekend!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Hi Karen, I am so pleased you and your family enjoyed the cabin. The lane you had walked on was the remnants of a stage coach road that ran between two nearby cities, and the walk up the hill gives you a beautiful view. As you, my favorite spot is on the porch or hammock for the sound of the creek. I hope your able to come back on your next getaway. Thanks much. Randy

It was everything we expected and more. The cabin is very well maintained and clean. It is so peaceful and quite which is exactly what we wanted The first thing we saw when we arrived were two deer grazing along the woods line. My husband and I were able to spend some quality time with our son who had a few days leave from the Navy. The location was perfect for us as well. We did a little sighseeing at Tallulah Gorge and at the end of the day made good use of the grill and had some delicious kabobs. The Kitchen was well equipped and you were right about the king-sized bed it was heaven. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us we will look forward to our next visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your review Tanya, I am so glad the cabin met your expectations. More importantly, as a veteran myself, I am glad you and your husband were able to share time with your son. When I returned from overseas, I too spent a short vacation with my parents. A time I’ll never forget. When your son is finished with his enlistment, let me know. You and your family will have a weekend on me to spend at the cabin.

We very much enjoyed the time we spent at this cabin. Our host even called to see if all was well. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. Very beautiful scenery with the woods and a lovely creek just off the back porch. Did not want to leave. Thanks for a wonderful time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Hi Danny, I am so glad you and your wife enjoyed the cabin; I wish you would have had the opportunity to watch the owls. Thanks for taking such care of the cabin during your stay. Hope you return soon. Randy

This is a nice cabin and the reasonable rental rate makes it even more enjoyable. It's a bit dated, but no complaints.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for your review, I really try to keep it affordable for couples who just want to get away for a while, or a quick weekend. Last winter we installed new kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops, to include the bathroom vanity and all new appliances and this summer we had all new window treatments installed. Our goal is to remodel the bathroom this fall. I hope you return to see all of the beautiful changes. Best Regards, Randy

Our family of four - 2 adults and 2 girls (4 and 7) just returned from this cabin. After staying for 7 nights, we are relaxed and refreshed. The cabin is roomy, very clean, easy to find and family friendly. The beds are very comfortable. There are several waterfalls, hiking trails and lakes close by. The babbling creek in the back yard is soothing to listen to all day/night. We also liked that Inglis grocery store is only 15 minutes away in the quaint town of Clarkesville. We recommend this property and already looking at the calendar to plan our return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We were looking for a place to get away from Atlanta for the weekend and a friend told us about your place. They said they enjoyed their weekend, so we thought we'd give it a try. We had a GREAT time. The Panther Creek hiking trail was awesome, along with the trip to Tallulah Gorge State Park. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Thanks for the bird food, we enjoyed each morning watching them feed. We appreciate you sharing your place with us. My husband and I, and our 2 children (ages 3 and 7) stayed here over the Thanksgiving break (total 3 nights, 4 days). I had spent HOURS trying to find an affordable cabin for the holiday weekend, as so many renters love to jack their prices way up during this time. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this cabin that fit our needs, had great looking photos, and was so affordable! I was so happy it was available and paid for the trip within a few hours. (Randy was very prompt in communication with me). I was not disappointed when we got there! It was so clean and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed and more. The cabin is great for a couple's get away, but it also suits a family of 4 just fine! There is plenty of room outside to play (bonus's are some games they have set up outside, the creek in the back, and the many bird feeders they have set up so you can watch the birds). The other great thing about the cabin is the location. The town of Clarkesville was a short drive and had great shopping. Tallulah Falls State Park was only a few miles away and had wonderful hiking. Helen is only about a 25 min drive. And there are plenty of other things to do in close proximity, such as horseback riding, fishing, etc. Highly recommend this cabin for a get away. The owners take wonderful care of it, they don't jack up prices, and you can tell that they want to make your stay as pleasant as possible.Did you find this review helpful? Owner info
Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: I currently live in Florida, and from time to time I am able to enjoy this Georgia house. This is my home away from home. Beautifully furnished and well taken care of. This is one place I can go and truely relax and feel rested when I get home.
Why the Owner Chose Clarkesville:
To enjoy the beauty of the mountains and the fishing is great! This is a area that I camped all my adult life. The fall is the best season for me. With every day passes, it brings new and beautiful colors. It is a great place to get away to relax and have quite time, or a place that has so much activity, you wish you had more time.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Having the ablility to sit on the back porch and listen to the birds and the creek is priceless. This property has a large area for the kids to play, or for the evening viewing of deer or turkeys. In late summer we have a family of owls that use the open area to teach their young to hunt. I call it the bird of prey show. This area host some of the best fly fishing. If your interested in using a guide, let me know. I've used Charlie Henderson of Sweatwater Anglers and his link is listed. Viewing his web-page will give you a look at the cabin #3
