Our time as a family is precious and rare so a great deal rides on the venue of our stay. Your home fulfilled all of our expectations and more. How can we thank you enough for all the attention to detail, from the tasteful ornaments sprinkled "just right" all over the house and the well stocked bathroom, sublime laundry room, which makes laundry not such a chore. We stayed in every night as it was so wonderfully cozy. There is no looking further, it is simple as that. We will be back next year.

Patsy's place is the perfect place to disconnect and unwind from the pace of city life. The cabin and the outdoor living space is top notch. Very clean and furnished first class. We stayed five nights but wish it could of been ten. Our son liked the bad mitten game and the bike riding trail. Tim and Laura are wonderful people to deal with and we are looking very forward to our next stay. The west shore is the best shore!
Owner response:Good morning Abe what a nice surprise to receive a review from you. I made a note of Jeff's request for new birdies so I went out and bought 18 new ones and will make sure to check on those through the summer-we hope to grass there next year so that should make it a bit more comfortable. It is our honor and priviledge to host Patsy's Place to wonderful families and friends. We thank you for making our cabin your destination on the West Shore. Blessings to you and yours and the Jeff and his wife and child. Thankyou again. Peace & Pinecones- Laura

We've been staying at Tahoe for 45 years, and this is by far the coziest and best equipped place so far. It's peaceful and close to everything we love to do at Tahoe. You can feel the attention the owners put forth to furnish this lovely home. We hope to stay there many more times.
Owner response:Thank you Gary and Susie, we try so hard to make our place feel like home and it is our goal to make your experience as different as possible, we try to treat each guest like family, as you all are so important to our continuing our quest for improvement. Thank you for staying with us and we so welcome you back each and every season. Our sincerest appreciation we love having guests like you and your husband....Tim & Laura

We spent four wonderful days at Patsy’s Place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for that perfect “cabin in the woods” setting in the Lake Tahoe area. Nestled at the end of a lane, the large, level lot offers easy year-around access within a short drive (or bicycle ride) to town, yet provides a secluded feeling that few places in Tahoe can. The cabin, beautifully finished in knotty pine and offering all the conveniences of home, was upgraded and decorated by the owners in a way that would make Martha Stewart envious. We found it so captivating when we first arrived that we spent 20 minutes touring the place before we unpacked. All we could say, over and over, was “wow”. The myriad details, from hand-finished windowsills to a heated floor in the upstairs bathroom, provide so much “comfort” that you may forget to enjoy all the beauty that Lake Tahoe has to offer. The large, comfy chairs on the outside deck that runs the length of the cabin’s south side begs you to nestle in with a good book and enjoy nature with an unspoiled view; there are no neighbors to the south. This is not a cabin squished in among hundreds of others; this is truly your own private getaway. We have visited Lake Tahoe countless times over the past 30 years, and we have stayed at many places there, but this was our first stay at a place that truly feels like “home away from home”.
Owner response:Wow Mike & Lynne-We try our best and that is all we can do to make each and every stay special. Send me your address I have something to send you. Lynne has my email. Blessings- Tim & Laura

Tim and Laura's home is stunning; no detail is overlooked in this enchanting getaway. Wonderful hosts, they worked with us throughout the entire experience. From booking to checkout, they remained available and accommodating. As a military family, our time away together is precious and we greatly appreciated their extra attention to our needs. Their home provides all of the convenience and luxury to make a memorable trip for anyone. We have already recommended Patsy's Place to other families in our unit and the neighborhood. We fell in love with this special home and will definitely be coming back!

Patsy's place was a perfect match between what we were looking for and what we discovered when we arrived at the cabin. What was promised was delivered and then some. The woodwork throughout is lovely and soothing. The moldings and door frames were left natural which enhanced the cabin feeling. It is so luxurious that at times it is hard to remember we are out in the woods, next to beautiful Sugar Pine Point State Park. It was clear how much fun you had decorating! At every turn, our wants were anticipated and then some. I want to take the entire master bathroom home with me. I have already ordered some of the wonderful hand cream you left to share with guests. My whole family loved using this bathroom, though their own downstairs bath was lovely, too. The children adored the ubiquitous bears and enjoyed a gem of who could find the most. The kitchen is amazing from its beauty to the wonderful assortment of pots, pans and utensils. All appliances are state of the art. We spent a good portion of our time there just playing the snow right there at the cabin. We build sled runs, snow forts and all got nailed with snowballs. We have left a snow saucer for others to enjoy. I have no doubt your wonderful retreat will delight others as it did us. Thanks! I know we'll be back.
Owner response:Hello Frances- How it warms our heart to hear the stories and experience of our guests. Thank you to your family for making Patsy's Place your home away from home. We always look forward to your return. Happy Trails- Laura

The pictures don't do it justice! Everything is perfect! All the amenities of a home away from home! We skied Homewood (5-10 minutes away, even in the snow), ate all our meals in after shopping at the Safeway in Tahoe City (the kitchen had everything we needed, and more), made a little sled run in the yard, slept well in the luxurious new beds (my kids are complaining about their own beds at home now!), rejuvenated in the spa tub with bath salts every night, and admired all the wonderful finishing touches Tim and Laura have made to this incredible Tahoe cabin. We'll be back! Just wish it was ours!!! What a dream vacation home!!!
Owner response:Wow Sarah-what a wonderful review it makes us so happy to hear that our guests are enjoying not only our cabin but the area as well....we so hope to hear from you in the future and once again thank you so much for making our cabin your home away from home. I stayed at Patsy's Place a few weeks ago for my daughter's annual birthday trip to Tahoe and I've been drafting this review over and over again because I don't know if I can possibly write anything that can truly explain the magnificence that is Patsy's Place. There are just no words... But, I'll try! I've been renting places in Tahoe at least once a year since I was old enough to do so, before that my parents were renting them. I have been to Tahoe pretty much every year of my life and have only stayed in a hotel 3 times. I've stayed in ALOT of rentals. Patsy's Place is by far the best. The pictures give you an inkling of how beautiful it is but once you walk in the door and see it, in the sunlight coming through the windows during the day or the expertly placed lighting at night, you'll believe it. The whole place is gorgeous, from outside to inside, top to bottom, front to back. No detail has been over-looked! The place looks like they had a professional interior designer set it up. Everything is so clean you'll think you were the first person to ever set foot in there (after the interior designer of course). Everything is so comfortable, beautiful and luxurious, and please believe me when I say that. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton at Northstar a few weeks before our stay at Patsy's Place, on the way up we were talking about hopefully being able to stay at the Ritz again. Shortly after arriving to Patsy's Place's my boyfriend said he'd rather we came back to Patsy's Place instead, he felt it was much more luxurious and just as beautiful if not more so. I agree, who needs fancy restaurants downstairs, when you have that gorgeous kitchen that's a pleasure to cook in, a huge lot for your own private winter wonderland, space for friends or family, amazing home theater system in the living room AND master bedroom? Every room is perfect. I wish I could replicate the master bedroom but it would never be the same, the house is so perfectly situated that sunlight coming through the windows looks magical. I don't know if I should even start on the master bath... it's just on another level. It's beyond perfect. The huge shower, the generously sized tub with windows peeking out in to the wilderness, the soft fluffy towels, the heated floors, even the toilet is marvelous (you'll understand when you get there)! This place is an amazing value and I can't wait to stay here again. Thank you Laura!
Owner response:Oh my Sonia- This review took my breath away and I must say it is our pleasure to share our beautiful cabin in the woods with families and people like yourself......I thank you so much for this review, I am humbled by it all and I so look forward to hearing from you and your family again. It is our job to make this home for you and those to follow. Blessings Tim & Laura

My friend and I just returned from a minimum stay at Patsy's Place that had maximum value!!!! We could only stay the three day minimum and came back rejuvinated and refreshed as if from a considerably longer stay... The Master bath was the quality of a Four Seasons property with radiant heated limestone floors, a lovely spacious bath and glass enclosed shower with beautiful finishes everywhere you looked... That alone was awesome!! The master bedroom bed was so comfortable and the quiet of the area so very restful. The bedroom suite was in itself a fabulous getaway, as if the rest of the home and proximity to what is a state park (more or less) bordering on the property... Wow!!! The property exudes a hospitality that is present and observable while not obtrusive. No detail has been overlooked at Patsy's Place right down to the Ghiradelli chocolates in the living room, luxurious bath salts and state of the art AV equipment. The first night we relaxed cooking dinner in and enjoying the exquisite stone fireplace and music system. Lounging and reading was all we needed. The tasteful lodge's ample, comfortable furniture and knotted pine interior was the mountain ambiance we'd hoped for (and more). We will be back just as soon as we can!! By the way, we'd never experienced Homewood for skiing before and were delighted with the seemingly low "traffic" on the mountain, value pricing, spectacular lake views and proximity to Patsy's Place. My Friend also thoroughly enjoyed (!!!!) the former Olympics sight cross country skiing adjacent to the property. He literally nearly skied right onto the property, just over a low slung fence... We were further enthralled with the local health food store, and Tahoe Kitchen gourmet deli, and Obexer's General Store. Thank you so very much for an enchanting stay. We will be back just as soon as possible. We did venture down to the North Shore one night for dinner, and were so pleased to return to our respite at Patsy's Place. I would plan on just staying in the immediate area next time. Why leave the property knowing how ever long a stay will feel too short? Thanks so much again, to Tim and Laura, the propietors of Patsy's Place. The pictures just don't do the home justice. It's a very high quality mountain home, and a relative bargain, that we look forward to returning to time and again. Thank you so very much again, Tim and Laura. I will be sending my friends & family members to your charming home!!
Owner response:Thanks Laurie it is always a pleasure to share our blessing with others and we find it our job to make you feel right at home. Patsy's place is more than a vacation rental, more than a house. It's a dream come true. You live inside a gingerbread house and everywhere you look, it's eye candy. The house is in impeccable condition, comfy, inviting, we didn't want to leave. As a matter of fact, if we had the cash, we'd try to get Laura to sell it to us. Nothing is likely to compare after this. It's great for snow shoeing--just right across the street and all of Sugar Pine to myself. The neighbors are friendly and the snow removal was excellent. The bathroom upstairs must be what a million dollar spa is like. It was beyond anything I'd experienced. I wished there was a wood burning fireplace but after a while I came to love the warmth and beauty of the new gas fireplace--nice and toasty without having to tend it. Every piece of linen, dishes, glasses, frying pans was top quality. We had the basics we needed without having to keep running to the store. And the furnishings in the living room were as comfy as they come. We played lots of board games and had a nip or two that kept us laughing. The photos don't even show the beauty of this home and talk about in perfect neat and clean shape--I had to go home and scrub my rental to have it be turnkey. I don't know if the price we paid will continue once everyone knows about it but I'm sure hoping that Patsy's place will be a dear home away from home for us for many years to come. You may not want to recommend it to others--shhhh......keep it a secret. Wow! Judy

We stayed at Patsy's place during Feb. 2009. We had a fabulous time. The cabin is very cozy, very clean and very well maintained. The location is central, many of the ski and cross country locations are within 30 min drive. We went almost everyday to a different resort. The owners were very helpful and easily reachable.

We absolutely loved staying at Patsy's place. We stayed there for 3 days over Christmas. Thanks Laura for making our Christmas very special. Laura went out of her way to decorate for the holidays and she even provided us with Christmas music! The cabin is even cuter in person than the pictures. It has everything you would need with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the kitchen accessories you would need to cook a great meal. The location is great and very private. The cabin is really close to Homewood Ski resort, which is a local hidden secret. Don't forget to go to the Tahoma Market for the most amazing Deli Sandwich on homemade bread! We cannot wait to stay here again. We loved Patsy's Place so much we didn't want to leave.

What a wonderful cabin in the woods! Our family, mom dad & 9 year old son, spent several glorious days enjoying the beautiful surrundings both inside and outside of Patsy's Place, Laura and Tim are gracious hostess/host from afar-thinking of everything to make their guest feel at home. We enjoyed just relaxing on the large front porch, drinking our morning coffee and having our utside meals at the picnic table surrounded by the lovely flower beds & enormous pine trees. The front yard was a huge hit for family and friends fun with the badminton/volleyball court. The kitchen was amazing-they had everything we needed to make any meal. Extrememly comfortable bed, lovely linens, good size closets, great bathroom and convenient washer/dryer unit. The living area was very family friendly-our son loved the sofabed & furry throw to snuggle up with. Patsy's Place is in a great location for your to experience lots of beautiful beaches close by, fabulous hikes (Rubicon Trail at DL Blsiss State Park our favorite. dinner at Sunnyside Lodge or just hanging out there-listen to the wind blow through the pine trees & smelling the fresh mountain air! We look forward to many more visits! Martha, Ty & Jacob

Your attention to detail in decorations and amenities shows us just how comfortable you want your guests to feel. Patsy's Place is THE place that my husband and I will return to on our next visit to Lake Tahoe. It is clear that Laura and Tim have an incredible sense of hospitality - guests are made to feel welcome, right down to the last detail. The kitchen is incredible, which is important for those of us who enjoy cooking and barbecuing on vacation. The place is adorable, immaculate, and homey - what else is there to say? Two thumbs up!

As soon as you drive up you can feel the pride the owners have for this property. The pampering starts even before you enter the cabin with very relaxing and functional outdoors settings. When you open the front door you will be amazed as the pictures on the web page are great but don't do the cabin justice. I could not believe this cabin is 50 years old, everything was far beyond our expectations, the kitchen is amazing, the bathroom with large beautiful tub, shower and large oversize towels are spa like and everything else is perfect. After a day out in the Lake Tahoe area, this is like coming home. All you need to stay here is yourselves and a few groceries and I guaranty this will be one of the best vacations you will ever have. The only downside is that it is very hard to leave. We can’t thank you enough Laura and Tim for allowing us to enjoy your world, we will be back. Jim and Simonette

I enjoyed this wonderful place in September of 2009 while waiting for the birth of a grandchild. The location is wonderful, and the surroundings magical. The amenities are top grade--fantastic kitchen. I hosted a small family gathering outside on the deck which was so inviting for even for the little ones. I know I am very late to post, but this is a top-notch property. The owners were great to deal with and obviously love and attend to their beautiful retreat.
