"The Last Resort"

"The Last Resort" is an old Florida beach home with easy entry (built 2 ft off of ground level) on Florida's forgotten coast. The secluded white sandy gulf beach, visible from the 30 ft wide glass-enclosed porch, is just a short walk down the boardwalk thru the sea oats. On the opposite side is alligator harbor, a large bay teaming with fish, blue crabs, and other marine life. There is a private boat ramp and boat tie-down on this side for your personal use.

The interior of the home is entirely finished in antique knotty pine. There are two large glass enclosed porches, one facing the gulf, and one facing the bay. The family room is a large open room with a view of both the gulf and the bay.

Of the four bedrooms, one has a king bed, one has a queen bed, one has a double bed, and one has two double beds, the sofa in the family room has a pull-out double bed. Three bedrooms have gulf views and one has a bay view. Two bedrooms have a private half bath and in the hallway is another half bath and separate shower room.

The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and small appliances. There is a washer, dryer, freezer, and extra refrigerator in the garage. Outside is a fish cleaning station and a shower to wash off when coming in from the beach.

There is an open deck on the bay side where you can watch the sunrise or the fish in the bay jumping. There is a small deck on the gulf side where you can watch the sunset over Dog island (an island in the gulf ten miles west) or look at the stars at night without city lights interfering.

"The Last Resort" is old Florida with all the amenities of today. The beaches are mostly deserted year round. The bay is great for watersports; tubing, skiing, riding waverunners, etc. The bay has oyster bars and grass flats for great fishing. There is a full service marina one mile down the road if offshore fishing is in your plans.
