The Ocean Club complex has an on-site swimming pool and limited free tennis is available at Van der Meer Tennis Center, which is located in South Forest Beach. Also, a fitness center membership to the Players Club, located next to Van der Meer, can be purchased for an entire family for $40 a week.
Besides tennis, Hilton Head boasts 15 golf courses on the island and several more off island. For those with other interests, most vacation amenities are available within blocks of Ocean Club. When the golfers take the car, there are plenty of fun options for others. The island has miles of leisure trails, so walking and biking to restaurants, shops, mini-golf, movie theaters, and local entertainment is the thing to do. Weekly bikes rentals are readily available at reasonable prices. Hilton Head Island is so flat, that biking is an ideal form of transportation.
