Our condo is located on the second floor of the fabulous Mountain Lodge. We are on the "slope" side of the building, meaning, we have the BEST views of the mountain, slopes and the Ball Hooter Lift. You really could spend the day watching the skiers if you are not down there amongst them! :-) Our unit has two bedrooms, two full baths, an updated kitchen with newer appliances including a dishwasher, and microwave. It is furnished and decorated adorably (is that a word?) and you will feel very comfortable being there.
We also enjoy sitting at the end of the hall floor where you'll find all glass from floor to ceiling to see the slopes and have a little wine at the high top tables and chairs.
The Lodge itself has a beautiful lobby with a 3 story stone fireplace and a Black bear skin rug! Each wing of the building has different areas of entertainment for the little and big ones of your family...from a play yard set to video games and a big screen TV for watching movies. The basement of the building sports a Comedy Center Bar and a great Italian Restaurant.
The Village is awesome - cute shops to stroll and shop in and fabulous restaurants - from snacks to 5 course meals gourmet!

Why the Owner Chose Snowshoe
My sister and brother in law and kids own a Hutch 9 & 10 which means they have 9 bedrooms and 5 baths (all together) and my parents own a Mountain Lodge condo also. We really enjoy the summer trips up there - hiking, walking and the festivals! What FUN. It's a perfect place to gather the families together and spend time skiing or sitting by the fireplaces. One winter season brought a lot of new people to the top of our mountain - it was the ONLY ski resort on the east coast that had SNOW!! Being on TOP of a Mountain gives great advantages!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
It is NEVER too warm in the summer - most of the time the temps are in the 60's - like I said before - VERY different than South Florida! The winters give us PLENTY OF SNOW. This year was the most they'd ever seen. The Village is just a short walk from our condo - actually, so the the sweet country general store, the churches, Split Rock Pools, and Starbucks! The Village offers different types of shopping, restaurants and things to do.

Cal and I purchased our sweet little condo because we love the area and it's a great "getaway" and totally different than South Florida. Our favorite visit was the Christmas we brought our daughter and son in law, Mindi and Jason and our 3 grandkids to spend the holiday - it SNOWED just like a picture on a postcard! :-)
