Surrounded by modern houses and condos along the beach between Progreso and Telchac Puerto, this condo is part of a complex consisting of 24 apartments in six towers. Located in Uaymitum,the condos front a beautiful beach,with the main road and the lagoons on the rear.The Uaymitum beaches and the neighboring San Benito-San Bruno beaches are the best in the State of Yucatàn.
Each tower of the condo is composed by : ground floor, first floor, second floor and third floor.This appartment on a third floor,is a beautiful and confortable apartment. It has three bedrooms( linens are provided), a living room, two baths , a fully equipped kitchen and two balconies. The balcony off the living room faces the beach and the Gulf of Mexico, and the one off the back bedroom faces the lagoon,with its flamingos and shore birds.
The main bedroom has a king size bed; the second, a double bed; the third, two twins beds. All rooms have ceiling fans and the apartment is completely furnished and decorated. A shared pool and patio are at the edge of the beach.
The condo are located at the 15 Km marker on the highway from Progreso to Telchac.
The nearest town is Chicxulub( five minutes by car or bus), a fishing town with good beaches, internet cafes, a small market and some shops. Progreso,where you can find a greater variety of restaurantes and Internet places, as well as several supermarkets, cinemas and many shops, is 10 minutes from the condos by car or bus. In addition, Merida City is only 35 minutes away by car,where you can visit large malls and open markets,choose a multitude on excellent restaurants, and enjoy many cultural and commercial activitieds of the Mexican People.
With moderate temperatures the year round, it is four season destination for Canadians, Americans and Mexicans alike. The temperature in winter is generally between 20 and 25 degrees celsius( 70-80 degrees fahrenheit). The sunny,pleasant days make Uaymitum a place to relieve stress,live with nature, walk on the beach and soak up the sunshine.
You will also enjoy visiting the many attractions of the State of Yucatàn. Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Dzibichaltum, Xcambo and other sites are the impressive remnants of a vibrant civilization. Cancun is near, four hours by car or bus, and or you may choose to visit the one of many colonial cities such as Valladolid, Izamal, Ticul or Manì,all within in a short drive or bus ride from Merida. The Central Plaza is hub of life of most Mexican communities, and are interesting places to spend a few hours observing everyday life.
In Uaymitum you have a good transportation( buses each 1/2 hour)from the condo to Progreso or Chicxulub. In Progreso you will find taxis ready to take you anywhere you want to go, and bus service direct to Merida City. Come and investigate life in the Yucatàn.
