Accommodations:  Condominium, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths (Sleeps 7-9)

Newly-remodeled 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo in downtown Breckenridge. Gorgeous views of the ski slopes from the living room, dining room, and balcony. Walk everywhere -- to town, to the slopes, to the trails. New light fixtures. Newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. New paint and flooring throughout. New knotted-Alder casing for that rustic mountain look.

The kitchen, dining area, breakfast bar, and family room are all open like a "great room". The family room has a large plasma TV, two large sofas (one is a queen-size pullout), four small tables, and a stereo. Three large windows let you sit on the couch and look out at the unobstructed views of the mountains.

The new, fully-stocked kitchen has solid-surface countertops, tall cherry cabinets, and stainless-steel appliances (fridge, range, microwave, dishwasher). There is also a coffee maker and a toaster oven.

The master suite has its own walk-in closet, bath/shower combo, toilet, sink, baseboard heater on separate thermostat, solid oak queen-size bed, large dresser with mirror, full-length wall mirror, two night stands, two windows, 27" TV with cable and DVD player. The second bedroom has its own closet, baseboard heater on separate thermostat, full-size bed, six drawer dresser with mirror, full-length wall mirror, two night stands, one window, and 24" TV with cable.

The third bedroom has twin over full-size bunk beds, love seat, full-length wall mirror, armoire, one night stand, and one window. The second bathroom has a separate vanity area with one sink on a long countertop and a large mirror. Both bathrooms have the bathtub/shower and toilet in a separate small room closed off from the vanity area.

The front porch has a separate closet for your skis/snowboards/strollers/etc with a deadbolt lock. You can park your bikes on the front porch but there is no way to lock them up (but crime is practically non-existent in Breck so we never bother). The front door also has a deadbolt.

The west-facing balcony is about 4-feet deep and is accessed from the dining area via a sliding glass door. It has some benches for you to sit and enjoy the sunsets over the mountain tops. It's also an ideal spot for watching the fireworks on the Fourth of July.

Amazing Views, Walk to Gondola, in Downtown Historic District

Year Purchased: 1982

Why the Owner Chose Other Historic District Properties

My parents custom-built our condo's building from 1980 to 1981. Mom chose the lot for its unobstructed views, walking distance to Main Street's shopping and restaurants, and proximity to the Summit Free Shuttle (bus). Today, we can WALK to the Peak 8 gondola from our back yard! I also love that I can take the dog for small hike just a block down the road. The leaves of the Aspen trees make the most peaceful sound when the wind blows through them and there is nothing like the smell of fresh pine trees. Being in the Historic District is also a huge plus because the Town is very strict about appearances. We want to keep Breckenridge charming.

The Unique Benefits at this Condominium

My sister and I have wonderful childhood memories of our condo, from sitting around the fireplace drinking hot chocolate and playing Monopoly, to taking off by ourselves every morning to go skiing or hiking together, to watching the 4th of July fireworks from our balcony. We rarely use the car once we get to Breckenridge. We walk just about everywhere. There are amazing family-owned restaurants of every type of cuisine in addition to some of the better chain restaurants like Bubba Gump's. The shopping is great too, with everything from brand names to unique hand-crafted goods. The Recreation Center offers an indoor swimming pool, children's activities, a complete gym, and more. Breckenridge has done a great job of making the town a true year-round vacation destination.

A
Peak 8 Gondola

Open all year except during "mud season" (approx Apr to May and Mid-Sep to Oct)

B
Bus stop

Summit County (Breck, Frisco, Silverthorne, Dillon) runs a FREE bus shuttle year-round. Take it to the ski slopes, around town, or to other towns. Route and shedule info are in the condo.

C
Breckenridge Ski Resort

Breckenridge has 4 mountains for you to "ride" to your heart's content. Trail maps and additional info are in the condo.

D
Daylight Donuts

Walk out our back door and cross main street for a really tasty breakfast (donuts, breakfast burritos, eggs cooked any way you like, coffee) and to hang with the locals. Just be careful in the morning

E
Snow equipment rental store

If you don't have your own equipment, no problem. Just walk out our back door, cross main street, rent your equipment, and continue on 1/2 a block to the gondola.

Owner's Map of Other Historic District Properties

Hi. My name is Stephanie and this is my family. I'm a Colorado native, a stay-at-home Mom and a part-time financial planner. I also do a lot of volunteer work. My husband, Bill, is from Maryland but considers himself a Coloradan. He is the COO of a natural foods manufacturer. That's our dog, Sadie, on the left. Bill rescued her from an animal shelter 10 years ago. Our son, Josh, is two years old now and the love of our lives. We like to ski, hike, mountain bike, watch movies, and go out to great dinners -- all of which we love to do in our second home town of Breckenridge. My father, Craig, still owns our condo but is leaving it to my sister, Carrie, and me. Carrie lives in Austin, Texas, owns her own business, is an incredible athlete, and has two beautiful children. Mom and Dad also live in Austin now.

    • Thank you for being so great to work with. I would definitely rent from you again. The condo worked out so well for us. Everyone had their own room and we made a lot of great meals. The kitchen was well stocked (says my chef husband). Your baby gear was really really helpful. We used both the jogging stroller and umbrella stroller a number of times. The pack n play and highchair were perfect. I can't thank you enough. Breck was so lovely. It rained a number of times which was really cool for us since we are in a 2 year drought in Austin. I rented a road bike and rode to Frisco. My mother and aunt had never been to CO, let alone the mountains, and they were just breathtaken by the views.

Hello! A quick note about our Guestbook: I just took over managing our condo in July 2009 from a "professional" property management company so we don't yet have any guest references for our place. The property management company wasn't providing good service to our guests, wasn't keeping our place as clean and maintained as I like, and was taking too large a percentage of the revenue (for doing basically nothing). Since I know I can do a much better job, I've taken it over myself. Please be patient...I'll get some references up here soon. And don't hesitate to call me if you have concerns. I have plenty of friends that have stayed at our condo and can vouch for me/it. Thanks, Steph (the new manager/owner). Cell: 720-308-9492.
