We have traveled to the Destin area for more than 25 years. While we have watched the area grow and traffic increase, we found that we liked that safety and security of the Sandestin gated resort. It's 2400 acres with both Beach and Bay access, shopping, dining and much more, offered exactly what we were looking for in a vacation location. We have found that the traffic on this end of town is far less than on Old 98 or in Destin. We also love the fact that you can rent bicycles or golf carts to get around the area. We know you will love Sandestin as well.
