What makes this place extraordinarily special is the location. It has a seawall on Lemon Bay. From the back we have seen countless fish jumping, dolphin that have come right up to the seawall, starfish, hermit crabs, huge live shells and manatee. There are 2 large owls and their babies, fantail hawks and an eagle's nest right there. Of course it would not be Florida without the many pelicans, seagulls and herons. There is always something to watch. Then across the road is a beautiful white sand beach. Walk just 3 minutes and you are looking at the waves coming to shore with sand between your toes!
There are many treasures to find on the beach, including fantastic shells & fossil sharks teeth. The beach is very quiet – almost a private setting. The sunsets are beyond breath-taking. We have beach access with this property. Shopping is very convenient with grocery stores, specialty shops,restraunts and even a department store within 5 minutes.
Our property is close to the main channel, but is also very protected by the mangrove islands. The Gulf access is Stump Pass which about a 10-15 minute boat ride. Jump in your boat and in a few short minutes you can be out in the Gulf( and probably you will have seen many dolphin along the way!). The drive on and off the island is beautiful.
The area in general is very quiet and reminds us of a quaint "Old Florida" setting. If you are looking for a place to unwind, relax and refresh then this is your vacation spot!

Owner Description
We are a family of five and are most proud of our three children ages 7, 10, & 13. They have been very patient with us as we have been renovating this property for the past 1&1/2 years! It has been hard for them to hear the waves crashing on the shore but have not been able to go to the beach because mom & dad are working! They have however really enjoyed the seawall and have found many interesting "creatures"! We feel very blessed with our family and are so happy to share our place with you and your family.

We were the first renters for the back unit, which faced the bay. This is a great place if you want quick access to the gulf(across the street) , along with a quiet spot to relax and read or just watch dolphins, herons, ibis, egrets,seagulls, and pelicans. (We ate breakfast with them on several occasions!) The unit is really nicely furnished for a great vacation, making you feel right at home. It is also an easy walk to several restaurants, (we really enjoyed the Gulfview Grill) We would recomment this to anyone, and hope to visit again soon.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Staying here on Manasota Key in this duplex was wonderful. The inside had all brand new appliances and had been recently remodeled. It was beautiful! It was actually much larger than we expected it to be. The bedroom is very large and the main room that attaches to the kitchen is huge! The property next door was a big jungle-ish area, so it felt like we were right there with nature! We saw so many cool birds in the large backyard-pelicans, herons, ibis, and a giant owl(it was in the jungley part)! It was so nice to have the bay right there at the back of the property. We saw about 12 dolphins one morning swimming and playing in the bay right at the house! The property was very clean. The owner made the arrangements easy for us and was so helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone and would like to go back myself! The beach was just a short walk across the street. We found shark's teeth galore on the beach along with numerous beautiful seashells. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity to go to. Overall it was a great trip. The ease of arrangements, thanks to the owner, and the lovely property made it a trip to remember. I would highly recommend it!
