The Dewey Beach area offers a wide variety of activities for everyone. Our beautiful sand beaches are a great place where you can sun and swim all day. In the evening you can stroll the boardwalk, shop and dine in some of the finest restaurants. For the serious shoppers we have tax free outlets.
This adorable cottage is just steps from the Atlantic Ocean. This 2 bedroom 1/2 bath home, includes a large semi-detached fully-enclosed shower/dressing room, and is perfect for your beach getaway. It is nestled into a quiet alcove off of New Orleans Street, and family-friendly bonfires and movies are hosted on the beach during the week, making our home perfect for a young family, or grandparents with grandchildren.
During the summer months, there are typically no weekend rentals, only weekly and mid-week rentals. Weekly rentals are Friday to Friday. Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Tenants must bring their own sheets, towels, and paper products. There is a $500 security deposit. Half payment is due upon booking, and the balance is due 45 days before the rental. There are no refunds for cancellations. Early booking rates are only in effect before Memorial Day weekend. JUNE SPECIAL: NOW ACCEPTING PARTIAL WEEKS FOR JUNE ONLY.
Please note: The house is approximately 500 square feet and well-appointed for 4 people, and can accomodate 6 people in a pinch by putting an air mattress on the air-conditioned sleeping porch. The house is not well-suited to parties, without severe risk of damage in excess of the security deposit. Please treat our home well, and drink responsibly while you enjoy our town.

- This is a charming vintage 1930's guest cottage, with 1/2 bath and very large (7 foot), fully-enclosed semi-detached hot shower/dressing room, complete with the typical amenities including shaving mirror, and hand-held shower massager. A small claw foot tub was added to the dressing room in March, 2010. Rental also includes use of 4 Starboard VIP cards.

We live in PA and love coming to the beach with our children. We are long-time Dewey/Rehoboth people, who have been coming to the beach for more years than we will admit.
Why the Owner Chose Dewey Beach
We love Dewey's location and unique mix it allows of quiet weeks on the beach and fun on the weekends. We also love that we don't have to cart our older children around, because they can take the Jolly Trolly back and forth to the Rehoboth boardwalk, shops, etc, while our younger children can enjoy other activites such as the beach, the rides, etc. My husband and I love the tax-free shopping at the outlets, the restaurants, biking to Bethany, etc.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Our house is located in the north end of Dewey, on the ocean side of New Orleans St (New Orleans Street is between the Starboard and Bottle & Cork), close to both the beach and the Jolly Trolly stop. It's tucked into a quiet alcove, behind another house. Our kids don't have to cross Route 1 to go to and from the beach. We LOVE the bath/shower being in a separate room from the sink/toilet, because the bathroom doesn't get steamed up when one of us is showering and the other is trying to primp (NO frizzed hair!) and the kids can use the bathroom, while someone's taking a shower or bath.

Hi Suzie, We had a wonderful time with our grandchildren. It was so easy to walk back and forth the few steps to the beach. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived. We were able to cook meals. Everything was there for our convenience. When we decided to eat out, the restaurants were only 1 block away. What you advertised is what we got. We are hoping to go back again, maybe this time alone.
Recommended for:People with disabilities, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
