We live in PA and love coming to the beach.
Why the Owner Chose Dewey Beach
We love Dewey's location and unique mix it allows of quiet weeks on the beach and fun on the weekends. We also love that we don't have to cart our older children around, because they can take the Jolly Trolly back and forth to the Rehoboth boardwalk, shops, etc, while our younger children can enjoy other activites such as the beach, the rides, etc. My husband and I love the tax-free shopping at the outlets, the restaurants, biking to Bethany, etc.
The Unique Benefits of this Beach Cottage
Our house is located in the north end of Dewey, on the ocean side of New Orleans St (New Orleans Street is between the Starboard and Bottle & Cork), close to both the beach and the Jolly Trolly stop. It's tucked into a quiet alcove, behind another house. Our kids don't have to cross Route 1 to go to and from the beach. We LOVE the shower being separated from the toilet, because the bathroom doesn't get steamed up when one of us is showering and the other is trying to primp (NO frizzed hair!) and the kids can use the bathroom, while someone's in the shower.
