Located on coveted Round Pond Road, a short walk or bike ride down this quiet, dead end lane takes you to two beautiful beaches. In addition to lots of sand and great swimming, they are spotted with friendly families, climbing rocks, tide pools and waves for all ages. Fishing and surfing are just around the corner.
Enter the house through a sunroom: perfect for towels, sandy feet, or sitting and soaking up the incredible view. A fully equipped, sunny, kitchen and two full baths make life easier for everyone. The large living/dining room is ideal for entertaining friends or curling up by the fire on a cool night. There is also a bedroom on the first floor with two twin beds which is great for kids or those who would like the floor to themselves.
The master bedroom, has its own half bath and a stunning view if the ocean as well as the entire pond. Nestled in amongst the trees and three sided bay window is a cozy twin, while a queen bed resides on the opposite wall. Across the hall you'll find a full bath and another bedroom containing two twin beds and a queen. Plentiful windows flood the entire upstairs with sunlight and the soothing ocean breeze on warm summer nights.

Year Purchased: 2002
My sister and I were lucky enough to spend part of our childhood summers at my grandparents cottage on this private road. It is the place where family and cousins have gathered and created wonderful traditions and memories together. That cottage has now moved through more than a generation and our time there is limited. The houses on the road have remained in families for decades so when this cottage became available, we were thrilled. When we are there, we love every minute just as much today as when we were young. It is simple, beautiful, and unspoiled.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The house is next to a preserved meadow, and overlooks a pond with local wildlife including swans. In addition to "going to the beach" it offers a wonderful place to watch with wonder, awaken to the birds, or sketch the landscape. Bring a boat and enjoy the pond or easy access to the Sakonnet River and ocean from the nearby harbor. Hungry? Enjoy locally grown produce from nearby farm stands or today's fresh catch right off the fishing boats. A fire pit on the beach is great for evening cookouts. Feel like an adventure...bike or take a quick drive to other nearby beaches, tennis courts, the Sakonnet Vineyards, or Tiverton Four Corners for shops and Gray's Homemade Ice Cream. In less than an hour you can visit historic Newport or the Roger Williams Zoo.
