You will not find another luxury home in the area to compare with this. The house is fully alarmed with ADT, floors are tile, wood and carpet. All furniture is new. Sub-zero refrigerator in large kitchen that also has two conventional ovens and microwave. Includes a separate pantry and separate laundry room. The bedrooms are a three-way split offering optimal privacy. The half-bath is part of the 3-car garage. Master bath has an oversized sunken tub, 2 vanities, 2 walk-in closets, and bidet. Relax for a week or a month, located on a large canal at the mouth of beautiful and restored Lake Panasoffkee. The pool is screened and has a summer kitchen. Sit on the wide 225 foot long seawall or rock on the front porch and enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the lake, watch the Osprey as they dive for fish, and enjoy the wildlife. Catch fish right off the dock or take your boat for a day of fishing. A covered boat slip is available if you bring your own boat. No boat? No problem, you can rent one from a fish camp close by. Shellcracker, bass and perch are bountiful. If you prefer fishing in the Withlacoochie River, a public park with boat ramp is less than five minutes away.
House includes formal dining room, formal living room, 32 inch flatscreen TV in reading room/bedroom plus 52 inch flatscreen TV in separate family room with fireplace. Central radio/intercom system. Overhead fans in all bedrooms, family room, kitchen and pool bath. Some DVD videos, board games, and books are available for use during your stay.
Two local, well liked restaurants are very close by. You can walk to Harbor Lights, which is known for its magnificent buffet. Catfish Johnny’s is just a few blocks away and is known for its fish and corn fritters.
The house is less than an hour away from all central Florida major attractions. A quick hop on the Florida Turnpike takes you to Disney, Sea World or Universal Studios. One hour south is Bush Gardens. Less than an hour west is the Gulf of Mexico where you can snorkel and swim with the manatees at Rainbow Springs or Crystal River. Golf courses are 20 minutes away.
For the bargain hunters, Webster Flea Market, about a 20-minute drive, with over 4000 vendors is open on Mondays. Fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, clothing, furniture, antiques and anything you can think of can be purchased there. You can find a live auction in the area Thursday through Sunday. Mt. Dora is about 45 minutes away and features a downtown antique shopping experience. You can board an old fashioned train for a ride and lunch on Saturdays in historic downtown Mt. Dora.

We spent 9 days in this lovely home. It was even better than described. The house was large and spacious. The bedrooms are located down 3 separate halls for maximum privacy. The kitchen was large and filled with everything a vacationing family could want. We especially enjoyed use of the electric car in addition to our rental car. The property was beautiful, quitet, peaceful. It was right on the canal with a vew of the lake from the back and front yards. Watch for the osprey that roosts in a tree overhanging the canal., Very special! We shopped at the local food market across from the development where the house was. They carried local beef, which was quite good. We grillled several steaks on the patio. All of the local restaurants were very enjoyable, serving home-cooked meals, and lots of fresh seafood, and very friendly service. What a great vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family enjoyed a one week stay at this older, very large and accommating four bedroom home that is located in an established neighborhood. The highlight of this property is the spaciousness and comfort it provides. Although a little small, the pool was very relaxing and quite private. The kitchen area is roomy, well equipped, and stocked with useful paper products. The outdoor poolside kitchen/grill worked well, and we used it several times. The four bedrooms were comfortable and private. The laundry room is very nice. The bathrooms are stocked with plenty of plush towels. This is a great house for a quiet, large family getaway that is located in a rural setting, yet convenient to many Florida attractions, and several nearby bodies of water. The local restaurants are very casual with great food. The owners are very easy to work with, and genuinely care about their guests' comfort. We highly recommend this vacation retreat, as it is an excellent value for the price.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
