Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1999
Bill and Betty Jean started planning to develop this property in 1999. The guest house was the first building constructed in 2000. Two years later they added the studio/office so they could manage the property on site. The main house was finished for the summer of 2007. The plan was to have a retirement compound with the ability to generate income to keep the property constantly updated and renewed. For the 2010 season the compound will be fully completed with the addition of the newly constructed solar heated inground pool with cabana/bath. Now that the plan has become a reality it has fullfilled our wildest expectations.
Why the Owner Chose Edgartown
Martha's Vineyard was the perfect location and having Betty Jean's sister there made it an actual possibility that would never have come to be. Her unique and creative ideas were the corner stone for this wonderful property and all it has become.

The compound in the meadow is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the quiet natural loveliness of the Watcha Plains setting after a wonderful day of island activities. Sitting in the hottub enjoying the star filled sky and sounds of nature all around make it a marvelous end to the day.
