Very comfortable and family friendly

We stayed here for a week in Nov and our family really enjoyed this very comfortable condo. Our 5 and 7 year old boys really enjoyed the private pool and it was great to just be able to walk out the doors to the "big pool" and beach. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and BBQ and ate most meals on the outdoors patio listening to the waves crash on the beach. This unit has all the comforts of home and if you're looking for lots of space to spread out you will be comfortable here. Enjoyed my early morning runs/walks on the beach and was lucky enough to see dolphins just off shore several times. The waves tend to be pretty huge on the beach but a protected area at the end of the beach (5-10 min) walk has smaller waves that is safe for small children. The pool at the BVG is very large and the kids were happy to spend the day going from pool to pool and with the condo so close it's easy to go back for a snack or book that you forgot! We hope to come back. Barb was very helpful and accommodating if we had questions. Thanks!

Family of four loves the ground floor location!

My family has been traveling to Ixtapa for more than 25 years. I visited as a teenager with my parents, and now bring my husband and 2 young kids once a year for 10-12 days of fun in the sun. Over the years, I've stayed in virtually all of the hotels on the beach. The BVG is by far the most appealing to my family, and we love this unit! The ground floor location is fabulous for my kids, who love to check out the coconuts on the grounds or water temps while we're packing up for the day. The waiters brought breakfast and lunch to the room with a smile. The kids were thrilled with the bunk beds and making Lego at the dining room table. Bela's art inspired us to commission a piece showing the Ixtapa beach and ocean view pre-hotels - complete with turtles and pelicans, of course. We lucked out our last trip, as a local Huichol Indian taught us how to make bead art right on the BVG grounds. We had plenty of towels, lots of storage space for our own groceries, and loved the decor. Many thanks to the family for making our Christmas holiday stay so enjoyable!

Awesome Private Beach Villa

We've stayed at Bay View Grand before and met the owners of this Condo. Previously we had stayed on the 5th floor which was lovely. But, staying in a Villa on ground floor takes BVG to a whole new level. We loved being able to walk right out to the beach, restaurant and pools. We have a 5 year old and this made life SO much easier. This Villa is beautifully appointed and extremely kid friendly. Our son loved the "bunk bed on steroids"....I think he slept in all of the beds. We loved having the waiters at the restaurant bring our food to the terrace and of course to the palapa on the beach! The Keirle's Condo is an amazing experience and truly a must see. If you go to BVG this is the place to be.

Fantastic Villa

My wife and I had the joy of staying in John and Barb's Villa, at the Bay View Grand. This is a must stay, and must return too! We have been lucky enough to return to Ixtapa many times, and this Villa of Barb and John's is fantastic! It is set up with all the luxury's of home. Anything you need is right here. More than enough space, fully stocked kitchen and cookware, overlooking a fantastic living room which walks out to a patio that is the envy of all at the BVG! Your own little pool, hot tub and patio to sit at in the eve, or with your morning coffee. Very private and peaceful. The bedrooms are very nice in size and have tons of hanging and storage space for clothing. My wife and I stayed in the bunkbed room and had more than enough space. The lower double was just great. Our guests stayed in the master bedroom loved all the space and bedding. One of the finest features of a rental, to have while in Ixtapa is a ground floor Villa: it is so very nice to move about and not mess with elevators or entry ways. You are at the beach or pool and no messing around. You are ten steps from the bar and a lovely small restaurant, which serves fantastic short meals overlooking one of two lovely pools. The bar closes in the late afternoon becoming a very peaceful place to sit and reflect on the days events. Beautiful! The grounds around the pool are so very well cared for, you just loss yourself in the pretty flowers and plantings. The security, all be it I have always felt safe in Ixtapa, is top notch. They always smile and greet you, but are always checking and watching. A very safe environment. The beach is just beyond the pool with Palapas and chair to sit around. Make sure to spend time at the beach in the eve. The crashing waves take on a whole new life at night. Like roaring thunder from our home. Out the front door is the great village of Ixtapa. You are right across the street from the little market, and 2 blocks from a grocery store and shopping center. It is all right there! As I said in the beginning, we have been very lucky to frequent Ixtapa, and this is the best location we have found to date. I think the most flattering thing I can say about it is, we would love to own something just like this some day! Paul & Lori Synhorst Nebraska

We have been to Ixtapa many times and stayed at Bay View Grand a number of times. This was the first time my family has stayed in a ground floor unit. ABSOLUTELY nothing beats being on the ground floor. It is so convenient when you are out by the pool to run back to the room for anything you may have forgotten. This condo worked great for my family of 5 - everyone had plenty of room and the kids loved playing in the private pool. Alberto from the snack bar is always a pleasure and provides wonderful service. The location of BVG is great - shopping and many different restaurants all within walking distance. Barb and John and great to deal with and everything was just as they had promised. If dates work out for our next Christmas vacation we will certainly be contacting them again. Nothing beats Ixtapa and the Bay View Grand (especially the ground floor). Don't hestitate to contact Barb or John and make this your next vacation destination.

Perfect Vacation

This condo really has it all. It was the best possible choice for our multi-generation family vacation. It is steps from a gorgeous pool overlooking the ocean, so the grandparents could sit in the shade and read by the pool or the ocean (listening to that great sound of the ocean waves) and go for a walk on the beach in the cool of the evening--no rushing around to pack a bag to go somewhere because it is on the ground floor and they could just walk out the door. The landscaping is so lovely and the condo is so comfortable and well decorated that it was a joy to just sit in the living room. (But no noise from the outside, very quiet) Shops and restaurants are within walking distance also. For those that like to run around, the parking place for the car was just outside the back door, and great surf spots, more restaurants, shopping and boat excursions for fishing and snorkeling were a short drive away. Also there are other quaint towns are close by for exploring. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt really safe there as the complex has great security. The property is clearly well-maintained and picture-perfect. The listing photos are beautiful, but the place is even better than it looks in the photos. The owners were very helpful in answering questions and addressing concerns I had before I went. Also, since we have a son with disabilities who needs a wheelchair, we were amazed at how wheelchair-accessible Ixtapa was. We would highly recommend Ixtapa as a vacation destination and this condo as the place to stay. Also, as we did most of our own cooking, I really appreciated the fact that the kitchen was fully-equipped with everything I needed to prepare a variety of foods. The washer and dryer were a life-saver as well.

"We love Ixtapa and have traveled here many times. We have never had nicer accomodations. This Villa had plenty of room for my husband and I and our Daughter, Son in law and 2 grandsons. We were concerned that we would not have adequate privacy in a ground level location. However, the location of the Villa has very little foot traffic and there is plenty of vegitation along the perimiter of the yard that offers a natural privacy fence. The interior is decorated very tastefully and is kept very clean. I could not have thought of anything that would have made our stay better. There is excellent security provided. The snack bar/restaurant is very close to the villa, there is a nice variety of food and beverages offered and the staff is so accomodating and friendly. It was nice to be able to purchase beverages and food throughout the day and then settle the account each evening. The staff all speaks very good English so you won't need to worry about communicating with them. We had so many memorable experiences. Lots of early morning walks on the beach with our grandsons. One day we even found a baby sea turtle that was having trouble with the waves. One of the locals told us to release it down by where the water flows into the lagoon area by the golf course. We flew kites, took the boys to a Fiesta, visited Ixtapa Island and had many wonderful meals. We hope that we will be able to stay at the Bay View Grand again, especially at the Keirle's Villa.
