This condo has all the comforts of home. It was quiet, clean, and in a great location—only a few miles from Rocky Mountain National Park and less than a mile from a Safeway grocery store. Jack greeted us when we arrived and was right across the hall if we needed anything during our stay. He was flexible with our check-in and check-out times, which we greatly appreciated. Although we prepared most of our meals in the condo, we stopped off for donuts and coffee at Donut Haus on the way to RMNP, ate lunch at Notchtop Cafe, and walked to dinner at Wapiti, all of which we would recommend. For hikes, we recommend Cub Lake, the hikes around Bear Lake (Nymph, Dream, Emerald, Haiyaha), Deer Mountain, Ouzel Falls, and Gem Lake. Lastly, we recommend staying in this condo!Owner response: Thank you for such a humbling review. I hope to see you next year! Jack

This was our second stay in Estes Park and our second time renting Jack's condo. The property is a perfect location for stays in Estes and trips into Rocky Mountain National Park. We would strongly suggest this condo to anyone visiting Estes Park. It is very clean, nice views, two block walk to downtown Estes and a very peaceful location. Jack also recently added a washer and dryer which is a nice feature for longer stays. We would never stay anywhere else when visiting RMNP!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks Shane! You are welcome anytime. Good to know you like the new washer/dryer. See you next year! Jack

My wife and I spent Labor Day week-end plus a few days in this charming condo. It was our 4th visit to Estes Park. The location is great, near the town (you can walk to the downtown area) and yet not too close to the traffic. The cooler temperatures, the waterfall, the crisp air was exactly what we needed to prepare for our busy season coming up soon. (We have a small Bistro in Florida) I cooked all of our meals in the well appointed kitchen. The evenings were spent by the electric fireplace or on the back porch enjoying the scenery. In the bedroom, the bed is very, very comfortable with very soft sheets. We did a little bit of hiking in the park too. We met Jack a couple of time and he also has a very friendly little dog Lucie, who likes to play! Jack is a very nice man, always ready to help. On our last night we saw a large bear... exciting and scary at the same time. I already have recommended this little condo to other friends and we would return without hesitation.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Christian for your raving review. Being in the restaurant business you know how important reviews can be. Bears can not be promised to everyone but...Lucy will keep them back. haha Have a great winter! Maybe we will see you next year. Jack

Our vacation to Estes Park and RMNP was wonderful and mainly because we stayed in Jack's condo. We stayed a week and wished we could have stayed longer. It was so easy to come back to a beautifully appointed and clean space. We walked to town and explored, drove into RMNP and to Denver. This condo was a great find. Jack was very helpful, giving us many suggestions (the alternate route to the grocery store was the best). We have already recommended this condo to others. When we return to RMNP, we will be staying at Jack's condo.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Dan and Terri- It was great having you stay. I only pass on the grocery store route to special guests. HaHa Actually I think that route is the best kept local secret. Thanks for recommending us to your friends. Hope to see you soon! Jack

I cannot say enough about this Condo! So close to one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. Can walk to town, which has many wonderful shops and restaurants, a short drive to RMNP as well as many other amazing sights on the front range! The condo was beautifully decorated and appointed with every amenity you could ask for...even the big bear we saw in the back yard one morning! ( Thanks to Jack who knocked on our door to let us know ) I cannot wait to come back! KathyRecommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Kathy- Although I can't promise a bear to all the guests, I'm glad you had a chance to see one for yourself. Thank you for all your kind words. See you next year?! Jack

Wow, this condo was absolutely perfect for us! We stayed there for two nights and I wish we could have stayed longer. I am a clean freak and let me tell you - this condo was immaculately clean!!! We had three people staying there and the queen bed and sleeper sofa were both very comfortable, and there was plenty of room for the three of us. I LOVE how all the rooms were decorated, it was just gorgeous. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The outdoor porch was very nice too with a BEAUTIFUL view of the river and waterfall. The owner, Jack, was very friendly and his little dog was too! It is very close to a cute little town with shops and restaurants, and it's also very close to a lot of great hiking and rock climbing. I would absolutely recommend this house to any of my friends or family members, and I hope to someday return. :)Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: You are too kind. Stick around longer next time. Lucy will be glad to hear you enjoyed her company! Thank you! Jack

This was our first time renting off of VRBO so we did not know what to expect. The condo was even better than what we expected and the deck and views were beautiful. The owner, Jack, is a great guy and was very kind and helpful to us during our stay. When renting off of a site like this our biggest concern was trust and we were instantly put at ease when we met Jack. The location of the condo is perfect as it is easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. We spent most of our days in Rocky Mountain Natonal Park which was only a short drive to all the entrances of the park. We definately plan to return to Estes Park and we can't imagine a better option than this condo.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Shane and Michelle, You flatter me. It was great getting to know you both. Now you know why they refer to Estes Park as Paradise. You are welcome back any time! Jack

This little condo is well located and has plenty of space for 2-3 people. It is well stocked (unlike many other condos we've stayed at) and very clean. The furnishings are fairly new. The view of the creek is right there as well as a small waterfall! Jack is a super host and usually right there if you need anything. He keeps a well organized notebook that answers almost any question you have about the condo and the area. Location? You can walk to downtown! Will definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Your review is extremely gracious. It is so nice to hear that you enjoyed your stay and will return. Thank you for all the great words! Come Back Soon1 Jack

We had a great time in the Rockies and the condo was terrific! I've stayed in many condos at national parks and this is one of the best. The place was immaculate and well stocked for all our needs. The back porch was a great place to relax after a long day-very peaceful and even saw some elk come through. Very close to downtown Estes and RMNP without being right in the middle of the town. We'll definitely return and hope your place is available again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks Mark! It was great meeting you. Your welcome back anytime! Jack
