Very Relaxing Stay

We had a lovely time staying here! It is so close to the beach, and the beach is very secluded and empty. The sand is terry-cloth soft and water is beautiful. The waves were a little rough in November but small enough for adults to enjoy (they were way too big for our 2 yo, but he enjoyed playing in the sand) Marilyn was very nice and so was her dog Roli Poli and her cat Tiger Lily. She would also feed the birds in the morning, which was lovely to see and hear. The garden was well kept and the view from the balcony was gorgeous. Together with the Hawaiian themed decor, we really felt like we were on vacation in Hawaii. My only wish was that the bed was king size, but the queen size didn't take away from the wonderful time we had. We loved that the laundry facility was accessible any time, and that there were boogie boards and snorkeling equipments we could take to the beach. Also just a short walk from the studio were two delicious restaurants we enjoyed. Our typical day consisted of: my boyfriend taking a walk on the beach to watch the sun rise while I slept in to wake up to the chirping birds, cooking breakfast and enjoying the birds and the garden view, walking to the beach and taking a stroll, coming back to rinse off the sand in the warm outdoor shower, then driving off to tour the island. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to enjoy a quiet and relaxing Hawaiian vacation!

My wife and I have stayed here many times (7-8?) over the years - there is nowhere else on Oahu quite like it and it has been our Hawaiian home. It is a gated property and really is a very short walk to the beach. The beach is glorious, and almost deserted as the tourists don't know it is there! The water is calm as the bay is reef-protected, and warm. We left the lanai doors open all night to catch the trade winds, we awoke every morning to bird songs, drank good Kona coffee on the lanai, and feasted on local papayas. It's close to Kailua and Kaneohe, and the drive to the north shore is nothing less the gorgeous. Marilyn can direct you to great (and inexpensive) restaurants of every flavor. Finally, the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. We have not met the new Chief of Security yet (Roly Poly), but we certainly look forward to it!

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Everything was perfect, exceeding all expectations. The location in quiet Waimanolo was great, just across the street from a lovely, peaceful beach. I really liked the low-key atmosphere, Waikiki may be only 30 minutes away, but it feels like another world. The suite is private, spacious, well furnished, and very comfortable. I loved waking up to the sound of the surf, the birds, and the tradewinds blowing through the trees. Grounds are attractive and impeccably maintained. Roly, the "director of security," is totally lovable. Marilyn, thanks for being such a great host, I hope to return soon!

Hi again. Marilyn we had a wonderful time. I am happy to post a comment regarding the stay at your studio. It was simply amazing. The use of the laundry facilities, the wonderfully colourful decorating and landscaping, the peace, quiet and tranquility along with the proximity of the beach all added to a wonderful time. Waimanalo was so much more enjoyable than staying in the city. I've been to Hawaii three times now and this last trip was by far, the best!! Just a quick note to thank you again for the wonderful experience you us when we stayed at your B & B. Having previously stayed at Condos or hotels, I was somewhat reluctant to go to a B & B. How wrong I was!! Next time Cheryl and I get away by ourselves I would much rather stay at your lovely studio than a hotel room. The accommodations could not have been better. We spent almost the entire day at the beach across the street, which is not only beautiful but, a rarity on Oahu; extremely uncrowded. While it was fun riding a Harley around the Island during the day, your suggestion that we go riding at night was "spot on". I generally avoid night riding on the "mainland", but riding along the ocean at night, when there is no traffic and the temperature is still warm, is clearly a new found delight. The best part is Cheryl enjoyed it as much as I. Again, thanks for making our stay in Hawaii "Absolutely fantastic, 100%, couldn't be better, with no room for improvement." Tom and Cheryl Rose

You have a premier bed and breakfast. We enjoyed every minute of our stay with you in quaint Waimanalo. We also appreciated the excellant recommendations regarding island activities. We especailly enjoyed the dolphin adventure that you suggested. The time you have spent screening tourist attractions was a great benefit to us. I keep meaning to thank you for the hospitality and great B&B during our stay back in August. My wife and I are still talking about it. You have a lovely place and the beach was exactly what we had in mind. A day doesn't go by without one of us checking the weather forecast for Honolulu. The last two weeks Wheel of Fortune has been on location in Honolulu and it makes us want for the warm ocean breezes again.
