  My husband and I spent 5 days at Good Luck Oca in October. The apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures, and very comfortable. It was perfect for our needs, clean, and enjoyable, but rather basic. We did not cook, though it seems that it would be possible. The 74 stairs to the top was a bit of a challenge with large luggage, but for a longer stay it was worth it. The shower pressure was good, but it overflowed daily and we only had one set of towels (!) The washing machine for clothes was very convenient, but there is no dryer (typical in Europe) and it rained every day we were there! Obviously none of that is the fault of Good Luck Oca :) Piazza de Popolo was a good location, with the Spanish Steps only 15 minutes away, and many good recommendations for food from Emanuele within walking distance. We found the metro access wonderful, and could easily zip wherever we wanted. We enjoyed having the wifi available, and found the noise in the apartment could easily be drowned out by the portable air conditioner. Overall, I would recommend this apartment. The Cafe Ripetta nearby was wonderful for morning coffee as we did not make our own. Great, affordable choice for a few days in Rome!

  Not being familiar with Rome, we had no idea what to consider as a “central” location for exploring. We lucked out with finding this apartment Piazza Di Spagna, so very close to Piazza del Popolo with its Egyptian obelisk, its many cafes and restaurants, easy walking distance to the Spanish Steps, the Vatican, and most major sites. The Leonardo da Vinci Museo across the Piazza at Chiasa Santa Maria was a delightful find! We frequently strolled the extensive Borghese Park, just off the Piazza del Popolo, with its vistas, gardens, tree shaded pathways, museums . . . Emanuele and Sara efficiently managed the transaction before during and after our October 2011 stay. The apartment was as bright, clean, comfortable, and efficient as described and as shown in the photos. The free Wi-Fi combined with our iPad - we were set. While there is a television, we never turned it on - we were so busy exploring the wonders and romance of the city. There are 73 steps per our count; we felt they helped to keep us in shape – Italian style. Emanuele and Sara were gracious, helpful, friendly, and readily available by telephone. We will check here first for availability when we return for our next Roman getaway. Enjoy!

  The only possible complaint is that we were not aware that it was 73 steps up. If we had known that, we still would have rented it. It was a great apt., fabulous location, and great service. Would definately recommend it to anyone.

  I have found the apartment online and their description matched exactly what at the end was offered and included in the price. I stayed for business for over a month and what made my experience at Good Luck Oca great was the following: 1) location (just around the corner you have the breathless view of P.zza del Popolo, and superb if working downtown or reaching even by foot all major historical sites in Rome) 2) the unlimited use of wireless internet (never had a problem with it) 3) the cleaning and changing linens done during my stay and according to my schedule 4) the use of the washer and, 5) the politeness, availability, and care of Sara and Emanuele who were reachable at any time and always ready to answer any questions(there is also a landline phone in the apartment and you can use it to call them directly and also receive calls). There are several stairs before reaching the floor where the apartment is but I did not mind it because I do like to workout. There is no elevator, the building is nice and old.

  A very nice place to stay. My wife and I were here for 5 nights in Sept '09, and we had no complaints whatsoever. The apt contains everything one could possibly need, the location is extremely convenient for sightseeing, it's quiet at night because it's up on the fourth floor, and there's plenty of space - beats staying in a pokey hotel room any time. Emanuele is a pleasure to deal with, and everything went smoothly on the checkin/checkout front. Only downside? There's no elevator in the building, but the beautiful antique fixtures and fittings throughout explain why. Great value, great place to stay, thanks!

To confirm the booking for Good Luck Oca a deposit is required in advance via Paypal or Wire Transfer; the balance will be paid in Euro cash at your arrival during the check-in procedure

During the check-in we also ask a damage deposit of € 150 that will be refunded at the end of your stay.
