We (My wife and I and our two teenage kids) stayed here for the first 5 nights of our two week trip. It was the best part of our trip. I had several email communications with Walter before we arrived. He answered all my questions. We used the driver he recommended to pick us up at the airport. Walter met us at the apartment and showed us around. Then we sat down for a long time while he showed us all the main attractions on the map. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. It was very nice to come "home" after long days of touring. The location was very good. We walked to almost all the sights. There is a great little wine bar and a church right outside the front door. I cant wait to come back to Rome. We will definitely stay with Walter again. Thank you !!!

Perfect Location

Of all the nice things I could say about this apartment, the most significant one is that the location is absolutely perfect! We walked everywhere and quite easily. We were two couples so the 2 bed/2bath worked perfectly. One of the best features of this apartment is the sound proof windows in the bedrooms, you can have them open to enjoy the energy of the city and the fresh air, but when you close them it is completely quiet which makes for a good night's sleep after a long day of walking all over Rome! Walter and Natalia went out of their way to assist us with our needs, explaining everything about the apartment, sharing maps and restaurant information with us and even arranged our car transportation back to the airport at the end of our week there. A wonderful week in Rome!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rome, due in large part to your accommodations and hospitality. Your apartment was as described and suited us perfectly. It is clean, quiet, a perfect size and extremely well located with Piazza Navona and the Vatican, short walks away. We enjoyed the easy access to all that Rome has to offer. Thank you for your enthusiastic interest in our stay and comfort. Should we return to Rome for any reason, we would definitely want to stay on via dei Banchi Vecchi. We will also be recommending it to friends and relatives contemplating a visit to Rome.

A great time at Apartment Campo Dei Fiori

We recently visited the above apartment and had a great experience. Walter and Natalie were perfect hosts and the apartment lived up to our expectations. It was well located in the historic heart of Rome and was a perfect base for us on our visit. The only issue some may have would be that the size of the showers was small. This did not detract from our stay but others may find it an issue. We would definitely stay there again on any return visit to Rome.

The aprtment is in a great location, if you like to walk you can walk everywhere. If you want access to publc transportaion it is a very short walk. There are goood restaurants and a grocery store nearby. It is close to Campo Di Fiori, but not so close as to be noisy.It is across the street from a wine store/bar, but with the windows closed it is very quiet.It is nicely furnished.There is 1 large bedroom and one small bedroom.Yes, it has 2 bathrooms, but they are tiny (closet size) even by European standards and they are located off the kitchen. There is not much space to put your toiletries. Natalia went above and beyond for us. Late Friday night, it became apparent that we needed to separate from our travelling companions.We called Natalia and she sent a cab to take us to a small, quiet hotel, in a residential area. It gave us a chance to see another part of Rome and it was very close to public transportation.We were quickly removed from a very unpleasant situation. Without her help, we would have had a difficult time finding other lodging. We really appreciated her help. Yes, 2 couples can share this apartment, but remember the small second bedroom and the tiny bathrooms.Although this was not the cause of our problems, it would be something to consider betweeen travelling companions.This apt. would be great for a family or a party of 3. Anyway you look at it, you still can't go wrong with Walter and Natalia. They really care about their guests and deliver service above and beyond what is expected. Thanks so much.

We have just returned from a stay of eight nights at this lovely apartment. It is well located and well laid out and the owners could not have been more helpful, including providing a cell phone for local use and there is wi-fi in apartment as well. The shower stalls are small otherwise the entire set up is ideal, 15 minutes to Vatican or Pantheon, 5-10 minutes to Plaza Navonna , Campo de Fiori,and Castel saint angelo. 2 minutes to supermarket, 30 seconds to great wine bar.

we stayed here in September with another couple and absolutely loved this apartment. The location was fabulous, the owners were superb hosts arranging for us to be picked up at the airport and transported to the apartment and even met us at the apartment with all sorts of great information on Rome and the immediate area. I would definitely stay here the next time we are in Rome. In fact, I am ready to go back now!

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was nice, comfortable, clean and well ventilated and furnished. The air conditioner worked well and we could also open the windows and have fresh air. The owners were our hosts when we arrived. They were very helpful with useful information about the apartment, about the city and how to get around by using public transportation (which was quite convenient). The staircase leading to the apartment was not accessible for people with physical handicap, which was not a problem for us, which I think it was not clear in the description of the property. There is a washing machine, but not enough room do dry the clothes. We enjoyed its location, which was quiet, and it was close to all kinds of conveniences. We would happily recommend this property to our friends.

We spent 13 nights in Rome with our two grandchildren (14 & 12 years of age) in July at Walter and Natalia's apartment. They both met us there to show us around the apartment and to give us some ideas on what to visit and where to dine in the area. All I can say is "WOW". If you need a place to call home this is it. The beds, sheets and towels were all first class, in fact better than any hotel we have ever stayed at. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. It is also situated in an area where everything is within walking distance - bus to train station is only 100 yards away and a grocery store is only a 2 minute walk from the apartment. We plan on going back and would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone going to Rome. Thank you Walter and Natalia for making this one of the most fabulous holidays we have ever had.

Sorry it took me a while to write the review . We stayed there during the summer of 2010 . The apartment is exactly as in the pictures, nice and clean with all the amenities . The location is super , 15 minutes walking to the Colosseum , 10 minutes to Vatican city , Campo de Fiori in the neighborhood , bus stop , taxi stand right at the corner . Natalie and Walter are very helpful , always available to help and answer our questions . I would recommend this property to friends and relatives and would love to come back very soon , my kids have been asking to go back to the home in Rome

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Rome. The apartment was exactly as described. Natalia had arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport and take us directly to the apartment (well worth it!) where she met us and took the time to show us everything about the apartment along with suggestions for the area and sightseeing. We have two teenage daughters, so the 2nd bedroom was perfect with two separated twin beds. Natalia explained the bus system perfectly, but we decided to walk to everything and saw it all by foot. Our evening dining was usually somewhere near the Piazza Navona on one of the side streets. We all enjoyed "people watching" as we leisurely dined in a different cafe each night. Once back at the apartment, closing the double paned windows shut out virtually all noise and we got a wonderful night's sleep which helped us gear up for our next day of walking. We would highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay there again when/if we return to Rome. It felt like home to us after a week!

The description of the apartment and the pics were very accurate. We arrived on an early am flight (the owners agrred to let us check in very early) and the owners met us there. They gave us a tour of the apartment and showed us how every thing worked. The aprtment was very clean and cared for. The owners even spent the extra time going over, on a map, what items we should visit in Rome. they even marked a map out for us. The location was perfect! In a basket of info there was a map from the owners telling you where the closest bank/store and such were. Also there is a cell phone provided incase you needed assistance from the owners! My husband, myself and my 17 year old brother spend a week in the apartment in March 2010. It was our Roman home, and really felt like it. I hope in the future to be able to bring my mother and aunt to Rome and would stay again at this apartment ( I will plan our dates based on when the apartment is available...it was that nice and the location is wonderful). We really saw all of Rome! We used a Rick Steves book - it was wonderful. We enjoyed the double decker tour bus, as you can hop on and off plus its great to ride it around once it see all the areas. Try the small resturants down side streets rather than the larger ones in tourest areas. These smaller resturants have better food and the prices are wonderful. Do by breakfast items and maybe a few dinner items to fix in the apartment and save some money. And carry a water bottle with you to fill in the fountains all over town (the building even has one in the stairway), the water is cold, crisp and perfect! My husband and I love to travel! We have been in 5 star hotels from Las Vegas to New York City to Florida. In Paris France we rented an apartment for the first time and wow! Staying in an apartment is so much more authentic than a hotel. We love it and may never stay in a hotel again. If in Rome you must stay here (or at another one of their apartments)!

We couldn't have been more comfortable in the apartment - everything was perfect. The apartment is accurately described in the listing and bonuses included lots of hot water - good showers, plumbing, masses of towels and clean linen. All the arrangements made for transportation to and from Fiumicino were appreciated and there were no glitches. Really, we felt very 'at home' on our fourth and extended visit to Rome. Convenience is so important to us - we did our groceries at the Campo, at the supermarket on Via del Governo Vecchio and on Piazza Moretta. Obviously, we never tire of Rome and its wonderful sights and discoveries. Natalia made reservations for Caravaggio at Scuderie del Quirinale - how easy that was not having to line up and what a breathtaking exhibit. We enjoyed 'La Denesina' on via del Governo Vecchio and 'Il Ponentino" on Piazza del Drago in Trastevere - we have eaten at both these restaurants on previous trips. We would recommend this apartment most definitely to anyone - arrangements with the owners were handled efficiently and without any stress. When we return to Rome again we will hopefully be able to rent one of Walter and Natalia's apartments.

Spacious, quiet, well-maintained apartment in a charming building just a few blocks away from Campo Dei Fiori. Photos and description accurate. Owners very helpful every step of the way. We travelled with my parents (70 year old) and the appartment was the best place to be, close to the Vaticant, and all other places of interest in the city. We felt like being Romans ourselves. I recommend it to everyone who want to live what Romans live on a day to day basis. One condition, cannot go with people with physical disability, as the stayrwell are not easy to climb. Thank you to the owners with all the tips on where to visit and best places to eat around town.

A wonderful visit to Rome that we will never forget

Walter and Natalia were splendid hosts when my husband and I visited Rome with our two sons in July of 2009. They met us at the lovely apartment, answered any questions we had and provided us with helpful information on tours, restaurants and shopping! The photos of the apartment did accurately reflect the charm of the apartment. The bedrooms were comfortable and the living area was relaxing and was beautifully decorated. We appreciated the very efficient air conditioning system since temperatures were running in the 90 degree F range during our stay in Rome. We also enjoyed cooking and were happy with the well stocked kitchen. The location of the apartment was great! The Pantheon and Piazza Navona as well as the Campo Di Fiori were only about a 10-15 minute walk! We recommend purchasing a Roma Pass for tourists who will be visiting multiple sites such as the Coliseum as well as any number of museums. Plus, the pass can be used for bus and subway travel. I would highly recommend this apartment to friends or family who are planning a trip to Rome.

Your apartment in campo dei fiori is wonderful in every way! The location is absolutely perfect, we are able to walk almost everywhere! We have traveled to may places and I would say your accommodation are one of our favorite! The apartment is quite, clean and very well organized. We loved staying in this apartment! The location is very good, just blocks from the Campo de' Fiori and Piazza Navona. We were able to walk everywhere (the Capitoline and the Forum, the Vatican, and the Pantheon were easy). The apartment is very comfortable, and the second bedroom is a little bigger than the pictures make it seem. Having a kitchen was great! It was well-outfitted, with a nice supply of staples. The owners oriented us when we arrived, checked on us every day with the cell phone, showed us where we were in the city, and helped us with the bus system (don't miss the Galleria Borghese -- there's a bus stop on the street). They even reserved a table for my 50th birthday dinner. It really is quiet when the windows are closed (although the neighborhood is quiet anyway). The wireless was invaluable -- we ordered tickets, checked hours, and looked for things to do all on the iPhone. We had a very memorable week in Rome, and staying here was a large part of it.

Valter and Nathalia (and their son) were wonderful hosts, very attentive to us as guests and to our needs. We found their Campo dei Fiori apartment to be just as advertised and depicted, in terms of room size and amenities, and it was spotless. It is conveniently but quietly situated, with easy access both to Trastevere and to the center of Rome. We enjoyed ourselves, look forward to returning to this apartment in the future, and highly recommend it and our hosts. We have stayed in about eight apartments in European cities and consider this one to be among the two best. Its only drawback, though not for us, is that there is a substantial staircase leading to the floor with the apartment, which might pose a problem for people with mobility problems. Our daughter, in her twenties and a one-year Rome resident, also liked this apartment very much. Carolyn and David from Chicago.

We have had a fabulous week in Rome staying at Dolce Roma's Campo dei fiori apartment. This was the last week of a six week vacation with our two childrens. Natalia and walter have been fabulous hosts. We had particular need for assistance because my wife fractured her arm in a cycling accident. We couldn't have maneged without our host, who gave us an entire Saturday morning and part of the afternoon to take us to a private hospital for xray, scans and a plaster cast. One could hardly expect that of a friend.....Thank you Walter and Natalia for turning a potential disaster into a inconvenient interuption to our vacation

we have enjoyed our week in Rome so much. The apartment has been terrific, everything we could ask for. A highlight of our trip was our tour with Natalia of the Sabiba region. We got to see how olive oil is made from olives to the oil. We also got to see how two types of cheeses are made. We went to a beautiful hill side town Casperia, and a beautiful Abbey of Farfa. We also had a terrific lunch in the picturesque countryside. What an unforgettable day!

Dear Natalia and Walter, we have so enjoyed our stay in Dolce Roma. Some of my favorite moments were the final clims of the day to our "home sweet home", knowing that was a cool, comfortable haven, our home away from home. We are grateful for your hospitality and your thoughtful ways, especially the taxi service to and from airports, your great introduction of Rome and supplying all the necessities in the apartment - wnderful coffe and the amazing italian coffe maker, planty of towels, and the most comfortable bed so far during our European holiday...I hope to meet you once again and stay in this cozy apartment. We will certanly pass the word to our friends and family. many thanks again..

Dear natalia and walter, the 4 of us have been on our 10 trip. Since 2002 (Madrid, San francisco, Munich, New York, Napa, Verona, Venice, New Orleans....) and we all decided that your apartment was the best place we've stayed in! We loved the location and comfort. We really appreciated the warm welcome and tips, your suggestion for the day trip to Tivoli...we tossed a coin at the Trevi...we will be back
