We went for a relaxing, peaceful vacation and that is exactly what we got. The cabin is nestled in the side of a mountain and has a breathtaking view that is so serene to wake up to every morning. The home is spacious and has a great cabin decor. The locals are very pleasant and helpful. There is no cell phone service and the nearest town is about 1/2 hour but that is what made it a great vacation for us, being away from the daily routines. There are many water activities close like fishing in the creek, boating in the lake, white water rafting, kayaking, hiking or just taking in the beautiful views!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: It just thrills me when our guests enjoy our cabin as much as we do! Yes, the view should be made into a postcard for the North Carolina mountain area.

This home was exactly as specified. The owner was wonderful in response time and answering questions. The instructions for check-in were exact. This is a beautiful location if you are looking for relaxation. The views are wonderful and the instructions, exact. We made lots of memories and enjoyed the beautiful fall colors in October.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful time staying here in November 2007. The house is gorgeous. The lake and mountain view is fantastic...much better than the photos can demonstrate.
