This newly constructed 3.5 bedroom, 2400 square foot (220 square meter) modern Pacific Coast style home is a Puerto Escondido landmark. As you arrive into town from the south, the first house on the left is this artfully designed home, back dropped by a clear view of the entire bay. The home is perched on a breezy hill with 360 views of Puerto Escondido and the surrounding Sierra Madre peeks that border it to the northeast.
“Casa Del Cielo” or “Heaven’s House”, enjoys magnificent views from every room, and indoor / outdoor living with plenty of shaded decks and verandah. It is a short, pleasant walk downhill to the beach and has and very easy access to any of Puerto’s fabulous POI’s and wonderful restaurants.
Enter the grounds through bamboo gates into a lush edible garden. Dozens of varieties of fruits, vegetables, teas and spices adorn the large yard and are available to you year-round. Walking into the house you’ll notice the impressive 35 ft vaulted thatch roof, the spacious, equipped kitchen and eating area and impressive ground floor view. Palapa roofs cover the entire home. Incorporated into the design are traditional terracotta tiles, beautiful Pacific Coast style cement features, mood lighting and a sound system wired throughout the house. Furnishings and innovative design throughout the house fuse traditional Mexican Pacific with modern styles. Combine all of this beauty and style with plenty of space for entertaining along with great hammocks and couches for an afternoon siesta, and you will certainly be tempted to have some friends over for cocktails, a fresh seafood barbeque dinner or just for chilling out.
This multilevel house is divided into three queen suites, laundry room, and a media-room / office en suite with the second floor bedroom. The media room can alternatively be used as a fourth bedroom. Each room has at least one private deck - all with outstanding vistas. Each of the three floors has a full bathroom – though the first floor w.c. boasts in addition a lovely hot/cold soaker tub).
The penthouse bedroom is designed to be an independent studio-apartment with its own w.c., large semi shaded deck, mini-pool, and kitchenette. The roof of the penthouse is accessible as a Manhattan-esque tanning terrace. You will soon understand why many have called your rental home a true work of art.
The house is the perfect fit for a family, a group of friends, 2 or 3 couples or for an organized group trip such as a yoga retreat or wedding party. The house sleeps eight. Linens, towels, dishes, basic toiletries provided. Regular gardening and maid service included. Penthouse may be rented separately.
