This home was newly constructed in 2009. It is on a large 5 acre lot that backs to the national forest. The ambiance is relaxing with a feel of being "alone" in the woods. There will be opportunities to see wildlife and there are numerous hiking trails within the area.

In addition the property is within 20 miles of Blue Ridge Reservoir, Knoll Lake and others. You can get to restaurants, night life and all the amenities of Flagstaff from Lake Mary Road. This is an approximate 60 minute trip. The cabin is located on mile marker 307 off Hwy 87, approximately 20 miles north of Clint Wells.

Our reason for building this cabin was to have a place to travel within close proximity from Phoenix that we could escape with our five dogs. It is a wonderful weekend getaway from Phoenix that allows a place to go to get out of the heat and enjoy the 4 seasons. There is a huge deck for relaxing outside with a large covered area to take advantage of the snow or even a welcomed rain.

The property is cozy but spacious and designed to allow different living areas to watch TV, read a book or play pool in the upstairs loft. The downstairs boasts a large sunroom with three walls of windows and an open kitchen and living room with a large stone fireplace. There are 2 bedrooms with the downstairs bedroom sleeping 4 (great for parents with small children) and the upstairs bedroom sleeping 2. In addition there is a trundle bed in the den/office for additional sleeping arrangements if needed.

  • We rented the Four Paws property for a dual birthday celebration and relief from the valley heat. The house is beautifully furnished, spacious, and inviting. The huge back deck is a special place to dine, watch for wildlife, and enjoy the crisp, clean air. Our dogs lounged happily on the back deck or curled up on comfortable dog beds in the house. Set back from a road that has very little traffic anyway, the quiet, wooded property is completely safe for dogs or children to play outside while adults watch from the back, front, or upstairs deck. It's a lovely place; you won't be disappointed. We certainly plan to stay there again.
