Sleeping 6-8 people, the cottage is situated on 90 feet of private lake shore on Cooks Bay. For families there is a city park one block away offering tennis, baseball, basketball, a woods and field, and a playground for the younger children. The town also has an award winning skate and BMX park. Don't miss a trip to John's Variety and Pet - one of the few authentic dime stores in the state.
Bring your boat or rent one from the marina around the corner and use our private dock for water fun. A kayak and canoe are included for our guests. Lake Minnetonka boasts 125 miles of shoreline with many interesting channels, bays, islands for exploring, and 12 boating restaurants throughout the 15,000 acre lake. You can kayak to Caribou Coffee through the Mound channel just across the bay. The new 25 mile Dakota bike trail the best bass fishing on the lake, golf courses, miniature golf, driving ranges, shopping, antiquing, beaches, restaurants and movie theaters are minutes away.
The Cottage is close enough to Minneapolis/St. Paul that you can also enjoy the amenities of metropolitan life in the same day with only 35 minutes to the Mall of America, airport, downtown theater life, shopping and city lakes. Or enjoy the shopping, coffee houses and fine dining in the celebrated lake towns around the area like Wayzata, Excelsior, Navarre, Longs Lake, Tonka bay and Mound.
