Wonderful place to stay

My family and I stayed here and it was a wonderful resort. The pool was awesome, Tiki Bar with food and beverages were right on and the beach front was to die for. The staff and owner were very helpful giving us advice on where to not only play but places to eat, shop and enjoy our time here. I will definately be coming back next year. This makes the second time we have stayed in this unit and it is always clean with some extras you don't find like toys for the kids to use on the beach. Location was good close to everything for us enjoy. Great family place with just a enough for us older kids to stay out of trouble.

I have a very difficult time relating and/or understanding the critical comments posted about this condo and owner(s). My personal dealings with the owner was very pleasant, almost as if arranging a family vacation with a relative. He was very polite and made sure our trip was most enjoyeable and comfortable. He answered all of my questions about the condo and made sure our check-in was easy! The entire resort was out of his world beautiful, our view, the pool and all the staff and guards on duty watched out for the children and made sure their safety came first. I do plan on coming back and assuring that we rent from the same owners. The condo was decorated very nice, plenty of linens, dishes and even some products there to get us started. Many memories have been made there, thank you!

We just recently got back from our vaca from this unit and we had a wonderful time!! This place was soooo nice and roomy! it was very clean, for the price we paid i would have to say i dont think we could have gotten a better deal anywhere! wonderful view! owner checked in to make sure everything was fine and comfortable for us! i want to go back now!!!!!

Never returned deposit

This was a lovely condo but we never received our deposit back. The condo was cleaned and everything was done according to the contract. It's be almost a year and nothing was returned. Owner wouldn't even offer to call me back. I'm looking at booking for this July and if the owner would have gave the deposit back we would be looking at this unit. Renters be aware of this.

Owner response:It is unfortunate that when people come to the beach they tend to forget some one else has to come behind them and clean and replace what they have broken or replace what they have let's say (BORROWED) and never returned to the unit such as beach towels, bath towels, floats left in unit for everyone's enjoyment. House keeping does give a report for every customer stay and it goes into detail the way the unit was before and after a tenant stays. ANyway we have many more people that stay and enjoy and takes care of our unit then those that wish not to.. Thanks

Place was nice but owner ruined the experience

Our stay was the last weekend in September. The trip was problematic, to say the least. First, we were overcharged for the stay. Beware - even though the description of fees clearly says "no fees" for September, we were charged a fee. Even though we were assured that the front desk would be expecting us, they had no record of our stay and I had to wait on the clerk to contact the owner to confirm the stay. Even though I was told that it would take "up to 45 days" to receive my deposit and the refund for the overcharge, I still haven't received it (and it's been over 8 weeks). The owner won't answer my emails and has made no effort to explain why I haven't received my money yet. Overall, the place was not misrepresented - it was nice enough. It was clean and well maintained. The owner was absolutely not helpful in addressing my concerns, though, and for that reason only, I would not recommend this particular penthouse condo. We will most likely return to this complex, we will just stay in a different place and will make sure that the indoor pool is operable.

Owner response:We have very tight security measures at our resort. therefore we require the front desk to make a call to verify our guest are taken care of from there arrival to the facility. It only takes a couple of minutes for the front desk to call even though we have already made contact with the front office that the quest are coming. Communication with our guest is crucial and we always make an effort to stay in contact with them via email. We have a very nice resort and have had no one say they didn't enjoy the resort. We have had some rude and guest that had higher expectations than what was offered. Some guest don;t like taking care of the place therefore we are very careful to scrutinize when our guest have something bad to say and then say what a wonderful time they had and how nice the place is. Owner fees are addressed when contacted but the facility is a cashless facilty and if a renter does things above and beyind what is offered by the owner then they have to pay for their own things that they use at the resort such as drinks and other things they may use at the resort. The in door pool I understand is under construction to be rebuilt and the winter months when the resort doesn't have as many renters is the time to do it. Owners have no control over that issue when things are repaired and updated. I would like to thank all our past guest over 100 probably this past year or so and hope they continue to come visit as many of you have done several times without any problems what so ever. Thanks again and we look forward to your continued support and visits.

COMMUNICATION IS KEY!

First of all I would like to say that this place was absolutely beautiful…with an awesome view of the ocean and the huge swimming pool. With that said, I would highly recommend that if you are looking at staying at any condo that is owned by the owner of this place…DON’T! I, along with several others, thought that this would be the perfect place for a mini vacation. Little did we know that we were lied to the entire time. After numerous unanswered emails and phone calls trying to either cancel our reservations or take a day off because of uncontrollable things that came up, we finally received a text message (yeah, he texted us…how professional, right?) that stated that he was unable to cancel but would deduct a day off our reservations. The time came and we enjoyed our short vacation. We left everything EXACTLY the way it was when we got there so that we would not have any problems getting our deposit back. Well, 2 ½ MONTHS after disputing emails and voice messages we finally got our refund (the night that was SUPPOSED to be taken off) and our deposit back…with no word back from the owner.

Owner response:Dear Irate, I was in constant contact with you and I have emails and text to back that up. You did NOT provide a valid reason for your cancellation nor was it in the time frame needed as stated on our web site and we still made moves and arrangements to accomadate your stay with us and you even sent us an email stating what a wonderful time you had while you were there. We told you that if we were able to put some one in your time slot we would refund a day and we could not do so..!!! We bent over backwards to help you and feel we did our best and that you did in fact have a great time and now for some reason you are dissatisftied. I'm sorry I hope you don't do other owners as you did to us..

I am very disappointed with this owner. Besides a few minor inconveniences, we actually had a very good time at Shores of Panama. The condo was very nice, the pool was fantastic, and we were seriously considering returning. When we first arrived, the front desk did not have our reservation, and I admit I was concerned after reading the previous review. However, the owners were reached very quickly and our reservation was confirmed in a few minutes. The only other problem we had was that the wireless modem was not working as advertised. Again, the owner was quick to respond and suggested that we call Comcast to try to get it working. After a lengthy wait on hold, we decided it was not worth it and just did without. No big deal. My disappointment lies with the fact that after 7 1/2 weeks, we have heard nothing from this owner regarding our deposit. We have emailed, left voice messages, and spoken with the secretary at his office. We have gotten absolutely no response. I assure you, we left the property just as we found it. There is no reason that our deposit should not have been returned! Even if there were a reason, the owner should contact us to tell us what it is. We enjoyed Shores of Panama, but if we return we will stay in a different condo!

First the condo was beautiful. However, we arriuved and thet did not have our FULLY PAID reservation. The front desk offered no assistance other than to call the owners, which we did not have the phone no. After several calls to the property association we got in. But took several hours. Now we are waiting on our deposit and no one will return our calls. It has been over three weeks and we were told it would take two weeks. Renter beware

Owner response:Renter showed up early before checkin time. Was rude with front desk. Renter misrepresented who was staying on site in the unit. Renter had owners email and phone number as he called us several times before his arrival. It took a total of minutes for the front desk to reach us and confirm there stay and for security reasons we want it that way. They were informed upon booking the unit that deposits are returned after house keeping sends us our reports. This renter was and appears to be high maintinence and very needy person. Future owners beware...

Our family has just returned from Panama City Beach. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed your beautiful condo very much. Thank you for allowing us to rent it. There were six of us, my wife and I and our daughter and three grandchildren. The weather was great, we all enjoyed the fabulous view, the pool and the beach.

Me and some friends of mine stayed in this condo for a few days and enjoyed every minute of it. We had the best view of both the pool and the ocean; the room had every feature of home if not better. I WILL BE COMING BACK!!!
