- Jimena de la Frontera.... is located in the heart of almost everything without talking about the town itself and the surroundings (Nature reserve). Here are some locations you can visit during your stay in Jimena, at the farthest is not more than 100km. Tarifa and Bolonia: http://sacred-destinations.blogspot.com/2007/05/april-5-tarifa-and-bolonia-spain.html , Ronda: www.turismoderonda.es Gibraltar: We really like Gibraltar, and one fun thing to do there is to organise a visit of the inside of the rock (the rock is completely hollow). You'll have two options : the tunnels (about 3 hours of easy walk) or the caves (3 hours of gentle rock climbing and abseiling). It's a great thing to do even if you are not an Olympic athlete ! It is a semi private visit organised by the army and given by a Gibraltar enthousiast : Tito. It used to cost 5 £ pp, Have a look at their website : www.paddy3.com/Cave.htm Jerez Famous for its Royal horse training school (horses are

Why the Owner Chose Jimena de la Frontera
We've lived full time in Jimena de la Frontera for more than ten years and we've decided to keep there a "pied a terre" for when we feel like escaping from city life and just enjoy beautiful nature. We then spend hours walking in the "Alcornocales National Park", just accompanied by donkeys, eagles and wild goats. Jimena is a dreamed place for nature lovers, bird watchers and trekkers... a perfect hide-away from the beaten path ! Also Jimena is a great base, far from crowds of tourists, to explore Ronda, Gibraltar, Tarifa, Trafalgar, Cadiz
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
"el estudio" is a home away from home... It is a warm, cozy open space with a good level of comfort (satellite TV, DVD player, WIFI internet connection, washing machine, tumble dryer) for resting after long walks. It is located in the center of the "casco antiguo" (the old town). So restaurants, grocery stores and tapas bars are only 2 minutes walk from your place.
A small library, quality white linens, and kitchen ustensiles are just a few amenities offered at this quaint, private and comfortable studio apartment.
Your home in Jimena de la Frontera is located in the heart of the historic quarter
Jimena is a paradise for walkers and bird watchers... you can spend hours walking in the nature reserva all around the village (the largest of Andalusia)
The best stocked grocery shop owned and run by Lucas' family for more than 50 years. Lucas is a talented chorizo maker but also the barithon of the local choir !!
Best restaurant in town, with friendly host and owner Suzanna. Amazing views !
Owner's Map of Jimena de la Frontera
My partner and I took a three month Andalusian break from our busy city lives in Paris and London... we fell in love with this region, a perfect cross-roads for travelers: Andalusia with its strong culture, breathtaking and ever changing landscapes ... but also on the doorstep to Africa ! We extended our stay ... a wedding, two children and thousands of new places later, eleven beautiful years have passed ! We are now living in Granada but we've kept a strong link with our first village. We are committed to help you to make the most of your Andalusian time, making sure you get all the insight information you need to be more than a passing tourist !
