Year Purchased: 2007
We have been married for 33 years and have four daughters and eight grandchildren. Ken is a math and science teacher at St Paul's School in Concord, NH. and Marcia divides her time between grandchildren, hobbies and writing. A Mainer and a Tenn. country girl, we both love anything outdoors and hiking, backroading and exploring the beautiful bucolic new Hampshire countryside is a favorite pastime.
Why the Owner Chose Grantham
Great access to both summer and winter outdoor activities such as swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, tennis and golf. It also has x-country skiing, snowshoeing and is close to downhill skiing at Sunapee Mountain. Close to Dartmouth College and Hospital, a great hands-on science museum for the children, and many natural attractions such as Queeche Gorge and raptor habitats. We love the condominium itself, it is light and bright and airy with a large deck, screened-in porch and private back yard with a little view of the lake.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We are only a very short walk to one of the 5 private beaches, and slightly longer to the new Activity Center which features a fitness room, indoor pool and snack bar. There is a summer Day Camp, large beach and canoe/kayak/paddleboat rentals and tennis courts as well. We are in a very quiet, peaceful area off the main road, so thru traffic is not a problem. While we are called a condo, we are actually only 2 attached units, without noisy neighbors.
