This is a brand new 1730 sq. ft. Southland log cabin home built in 2008 on several acres of land near Lake Anna, Virginia. We've just finished setting it up and are ready for you to come and visit. You'll like staying in a place that looks and feels new.
Fall is coming and this is a perfect time to visit the countryside and stay in a beautiful log cabin in the woods. The air is fresh and the skies are clear. You will surly feel recharged after staying a few nights away from the stresses of the city.
This log home features two levels with three bedrooms and two full baths with separate temperature control systems on each level. The master bedroom and bath are on the first level with guest bedrooms upstairs. It sleeps six in beds (in 1 queen, 1 full, & 2 twins) with hardwood floors throughout. There is a modern kitchen with a full accompaniment of dishes and cooking tools. The open design brings the kitchen, dining, and living spaces together for pleasant socializing.
The home is located on some secluded acres about three miles from Lake Anna, Virginia, so it's very quiet and relaxing. You get all the benefits of being near the lake without all the noise and traffic. If you're looking for a nice place to get away, this is it.
You will love relaxing on the huge wrap-around porch in the evenings. In the mornings, get up early and read while sipping coffee and watching the humming birds buzz around. The relaxing wooded setting away from the craziness of most major metropolitan areas will make you forget about the stresses of your day-to-day life. Inside, the open design on the first floor with modern appliances and fixtures will leave you wanting for nothing. Smile when you tell your friends that you spent some days "roughing it" in a log cabin. They don't have to know that you stayed in the lap of luxury.
If you come here for the lake experience, there are several public access points all around the 250 miles of shoreline on this 17 mile long lake. But one of the best kept secrets is Lake Anna State Park, located along the North West part of the lake. It's one of the finest parks in the state with sandy beaches, shaded picnic areas and miles of wooded hiking trails.
The Lake Anna area is conducive to bicycling, fishing, golfing, hiking, and all kinds of water sports. Wine lovers will enjoy the tastes at several nearby wineries. Colonial Williamsburg, King's Dominion, Busch Gardens, Monticello, Luray Caverns, and Skyline Drive are main tourist destinations located within driving distance. You can find several nice shopping destinations within an hour's drive in the towns of Richmond, Fredericksburg, Sperryville, and Culpeper. If you love antiques, there's no better place than in the Virginia countryside.
