Welcome to our Lighthouse home in beautiful Oceanside Village, a private gated community situated on 180 acres with 24 hours security. We have four beautiful fishing lakes, tennis courts,basketball court,large softball field, volleyball court, bocce courts,horseshoes and lots of walking space. There is also a playground area for small children. NEW FOR THIS YEAR is a FITNESS CENTER. However, there is a charge per person per week. ($25.00) Open 5:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M.
Our home features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a tub and one with a shower. Master bedroom has KING-SIZE BED, the guest bedroom has a QUEEN-SIZE BED and the den has a QUEEN-SIZE SLEEPER SOFA an we have extended the size of our den area with a great view of the deck on the front of the home.
Also our beach home offers a kitchen with all the conveniences of home, large bar with bar stools, dining room table with chairs, full-size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board and lots more. Three color TVs with cable, 42' FLAT SCREEN IN DEN AREA, VCR player, DVD player and CD/radio player. WE NOW HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET (Lite)(WIFI) FOR YOUR COMPUTER.
We have two pools. One is enclosed and heated and the other is outdoors, both have kiddie pools. NEW CHILDREN'S POOL AREA(SPLASH PARK) AND ALSO A WET POOL WITH DIPPING POOL FOR SUNBATHERS !!!!! Also new for this year we have added a 10'X30' outside deck with gas barbecue grill, table,chairs, and umbrella. There is an outside shower for your convenience too.
Our home is located approximately three minutes to the beach or pools by golf cart.
A GOLF CART is provided (FREE) for easy access to the pools and beach with private beach front parking. YOU MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE AND HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE TO DRIVE GOLF CART. Restrooms are also located in the BEACH parking lot.
Sorry, NO SMOKING INSIDE OF HOME. We rent our home from Saturday to Saturday and we only rent to single families. We asks that you provide your own paper products, etc. We provide the linens and towels for the home. We do not provide BEACH TOWELS. We ask that you leave the home in the condition that you found it since there is NO MAID SERVICE.
WE DO OFFER A CLEANING SERVICE. THE FEE IS $60.00.
WASHING OF LINENS AND TOWELS IS $20.00 EXTRA.
IF YOU DESIRE THIS SERVICE I MUST KNOW IN ADVANCE.
We are PET FRIENDLY however, please notify me in advance if you are bringing a Dog or DOGS.

Owner response: Met couple when they arrived on Saturday afternoon, August 18th. Just told them I hoped they had a good time an if they needed me for anything they had my phone numbers. On Friday, the 24th I received a call from them an they told me that their dog had gotten out of it's cage an tore the carpet in the bedroom. They wanted me to come over an look at it however, I told them I could not come at that time but I would look at it on Saturday morning an if it was serious I would contact them. They departed on Saturday morning an I arrived about 11:00 a.m. an viewed the damage to the carpet in the bedroom. It was a little bit more serious than what I thought however, I knew I could fix it and I did. I told my wife Saturday afternoon about the situation an told her to return their security deposit to them.

Hi Guys: We really appreciate the review. We try our best to maintain all four of our places to the highest standards. As I tell all of our renters I am only ten minutes away if you do have a problem. Again, thank you very much an we look forward to seeing you for October and November this year. My husband and I and our golden retriever have stayed at the Lighthouse Inn for the entire month of October on 2 separate years. We think that it is a very attractive, comfortable and fun place to stay. It truly does feel like our home away from home. Stan is totally accomodating and super to work with. The master bedroom is very large and the livingroom is spacious. We thoroughly enjoy the golf cart. We use the internet constantly. We like the 42 inch TV in the livingroom. The kitchen is pretty well stocked and has a dishwasher. There is a gas grill on the deck. We used the beach chairs and umbrella on the beach many times. We enjoy sitting on the deck because in October the deck stays shady almost the entire day and evening. This house is located in a pretty quiet section of Oceanside Village. This is not a brand new house but neither are ANY of the places in Oceanside Village. In our stays there we only had 1 thing break and Stan had a repairman there almost immediately. He is easily accessable by phone and comes by to check on the place in person also. We are looking forward to staying there again in the future.

There were soft spots in the floors, and the ceiling fans were rickety, and sounded like they were gonna come off the ceiling at any given moment!! One of the blinds were off the window when we arrived, and was not repaired while we were there. The property had not been cleaned by the prior users, so it was not clean when we got there. There was sand in the bottom of the tub and shower in both bathrooms. We didn't feel the property was well maintained at all. The deck had a broken board in one spot. We were disappointed in the shape of the place!!!!! Do not recommend this property to anyone!!!!!

Owner response: I am sorry that this renter was not happy with the home. I know of no soft spots in the floors. Also I have never had a complaint on any of the four ceiling fans in nine years of renting this home. Someone had pulled a blind down from the window an I offered to go get a new one but they said that would be ok. The blind was replaced on the Saturday this renter departed. I did not see any sand in any of the bathrooms at the time of inspection. The deck did have a board that had been pushed down by someone jumping up an down on it an I had put a flower pot full of sand over the board. This board has been repaired now. This is the first time I have had a negative response on our four places in nine years of renting. Also the renter had my home phone an cell phone numbers an was told if there were any problems please call me. They did not call me not one time the whole week about any problems. I only live about 10 minutes from the home an I would have been more than glad to come down an take care of any problems.

My family and I stayed at Stan and Gail's Lighthouse from June 11-18, 2011 and we had such a wonderful, relaxing time in our "home away from home". My husband, myself , our 8 1/2 yr. son and my mother-in-law and of course little Princess , our dog... enjoyed ourselves so much that we have already reserved next year with the Cohen's.

Me and mother stayed here this past summer and found it to be very clean cleaner than some of hotels down at the beach We would also puttter around in the golf cart which was the villages evening activty. Our landlord for the week was very helpful when we called. I really enjoyed my stay. Yes I would recomend this to all my friends and neighbors.

Stayed at the lighthouse in may 2008. Very enjoyable experience. Would stay again. Had the chance to meet Mr. Cohen a very nice man. Looking for some place clean, spacious, and feels like home, you would enjoy the lighthouse.
