This is a gorgeous 2 bedroom, 2 bath house that has a full walk out basement, fully enclosed large porch overlooking water, and an attached 2 car garage (tenant can use one bay) with automatic opener. It comfortably sleeps 2 couples in the bedrooms and could have 2 people on a pull out sofa in the living room.
Enclosed porch has a brand new hammock to make the days pass by as you nap in comfort while watching the water. Dock and row boat for fishing or just enjoying the lake. Has TV, leather sectional couch with recliner and sleeper section with a Beautiful dining area. Master bedroom has a queen sized bed with a newer very comfortable mattress. Second bedroom has two extra long (very nice/expensive) singles that push together to make a king if you choose. 2 private full baths.
Covered porch on first floor (under enclosed porch) with another hammock and eating spot. Nice small picnic table available to eat right by the water. Outside fire pit and firewood provided for campfires by the water or to make s'mores and enjoy the surroundings.
Living on the water is simply amazing. Awaken with the sounds of song birds floating through the windows and spend a day exploring the lake or the local Berkshire County attractions. Train tracks across lake make for great viewing as does the occasional small plane overhead.
Central HVAC makes the coldest nights warm and the hottest nights cool.
The fine print:
Reservations will not be accepted till payment is made and clears. If paying within one week of arrival please send a bank check overnight delivery. $80 cleaning fee for all stays up to two weeks. For longer duration rentals cleaned atleast every two weeks at renters expense.
For last minute reservations {30 to 5 day lead time} (all paperwork and payment must be received at least 7 days in advance as we need lead time to prepare) payment should be made by wire transfer, postal money orders, or bring cash. We are just a couple looking to rent a beautiful family house.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2009
My grandfather built this house for my grandmother as a thank you for a life time together. My wife and I had the opportunity to keep this house in the family and we jumped at the opportunity. We now are in the process of furnishing it just the way we want it. We are furnishing it in a farm/cabin theme and are always making little additions and changes to try to make it even more comfortable and enjoyable. We will likely be moving to this house full time with in the next couple years but wanted to share some of our "piece of paradise" with others in the mean time.
Why the Owner Chose Richmond
Berkshire County is the perfect area to live and vacation. Local attractions include: Great Barrington, Lenox, Lee, Tanglewood (home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra), Stockbridge, Norman Rockwell Museum, Barrington Stage Company, Berkshire Theater, Berkshire Museum, Mass Moca, Clark Art, Williams College, The Colonial Theater and so much more.
The Unique Benefits of this Private House
Ski areas for winter enjoyment include Bousquet, Catamount, Butternut, and Jiminy Peak all within less than 30 minutes. Summer fun includes hiking on local trails in places like Kennedy Park, Greylock Reservation, numerous Trustees of the Reservations properties. Cycling: road, dirt road, and mountain biking are excellent in the local area. Great dirt road loops for walking right out the back door. The famous Bartlett Orchards is on the drive in less than one mile away and they have some of the world’s BEST cider donuts. Richmond is also home to Furnace Brook Winery who makes so excellent white, red and my favorite - Riesling’s. Local restaurants can be found in Pittsfield, Lenox, Lee and beyond. If dining is your thing then both Pittsfield and Lenox have some amazing places to eat, all with in a short drive. Watch the occasional small plane fly overhead or the train.
